I have heard lots of good things about this place and it was certainly crowded. I ordered a bowl that was already made. It seemed very "soggy" to me with all of the different sauces etc. Next time I would try and build my own. I got the spicy falafel bowl. I really liked the falafel itself and the pickled onions were good. Lots of the workers were young kids. They were diligent and friendly. Good for them for having a summer job. I worked several summer jobs like this. IMHO, I feel as though every young person should work some sort of service job. Then as you grow and become and adult, you know/remember what it's like and treat people with respect and kindness. *PSA is over-back to your regularly scheduled review. ;) The space was clean and there are great options for drinks. I got a water but don't get tricked like I did. Water is typically connected to a spigot under the soda right? Not this time. That's if you want "soda water". The regular water is a separate water station just past the special juice drink. Like I said, it was a very popular lunch place. It was like a revolving door. Check out the menu so you are prepared if you want to build a bowl or just go for it with a chef designed bowl.

Traveling for work parked me in Austin, Tx for the weekend. Yelping, I spied a Mediterranean restaurant that sounded healthy and fresh. And it was across the street from the hotel! Looking over the chef-curated bowls, they all sounded great and they were! All the flavors of the Med were well represented! I had Harissa Avacado and Balsamic Date chicken bowls. A lot of the poor reviews were pickup and app-driven. I walked in and placed an order. I ate there twice in 2 days and had ZERO issues. Once, eat in and the other to go. This is a chain located in numerous states. To my surprise, one is in Bartram village in Jax.

Plus, there's some nice outdoor seating so you can bring your dog. I will say that the prices are more than I can justify on a regular basis, but it feels like a nice, reasonably healthy splurge. The dishes are thoughtfully composed, well seasoned, and always fresh. Avocado toast is usually a throwaway offering, but they do it right here, fully loaded with pesto, heirloom tomato, and a ton of avocado. There have been some recent changes that are a bummer though. I'm really sad that they seem to have taken the vegan chorizo and potato hash off the menu, which was simply the best brunch dish. Happy hour options are also greatly reduced, leaving very little for vegans, and I'm sorry but on what planet is $8 for pickles a good deal? I still love the place, but it's not in regular rotation.

We started with the hummus, and the vegetables that came with it were amazing!! Super fresh and actually so flavorful. Definitely not your average hummus plate. I also tried the Caesar wrap which honestly wasn't my favorite, just mostly lettuce tbh. But everything else was incredible so it didn't really take away from the experience. I also tried chicken bone broth for the first time and it was so flavorful and perfect for a Sunday. The overall vibe was really bright and relaxed, perfect reset after the weekend. Loved this place so much and would definitely come back again.

Did I pick the wrong sauce perhaps or was the chef a bit heavy handed on the salt? 5. Cleanliness - Dining area was outdoors in the back on a cold day. Good thing they had a heating lamp near by. They managed their tables well. No dirty plates lingering around. Restrooms were not bad either. Small, but clean. SUMMARY It's great that they make fresh noodles, but $20+ for a plate of noodles is a bit much. Overly paying for salty food, I rather go to a chain Italian restaurant. The portions are generous without being over the top, and everything we've tried has been full of authentic flavor and perfectly seasoned. Tonight's review is for Crenshaw's Bar & Eatery, a spot I've now visited several times during our stay. My first visit was simple -- just a quick glass of wine to unwind. The following evening, I returned for the mezze platter, which was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. Tonight, I stopped in again for a glass of pinot noir and ordered the Brussels sprouts, served with rich chunks of pork fat that elevated the dish into something memorable. Equally impressive was the service. My bartender, Cariel, was outstanding -- warm, engaging, and genuinely easy to talk with. Whether the conversation turned to sports, travel, or even Brussels sprouts, she made the experience feel personal rather than transactional. Over the past few days, encounters like this have reinforced what makes Omni Barton Creek stand out: a clear commitment to hiring people who understand service as both professionalism and connection. I was really craving a great salad, so I decided to go in. At first you walk up and order, and then the clerk at the front, like all other places turns the screen around and says "One last question", and then stares at you, while you read their 3 tipping options. So you're standing there, guilted into tipping, by an individual that only pressed a couple of buttons, only to have the kitchen get your order wrong. At an establishment like this, it would be nice if you could tip at the end, after the whole experience, instead of out of obligation at the beginning, because you have an individual begging for it. Anyways. So after I ordered I waited, only to get a $20 salad that had 4 small pieces of chicken and with the Miso dressing which I didn't order. I ordered the Lemon Avocado Vinaigrette which came with no snap peas, when I ordered extra. Then when I finally was able to flag someone down and tell them what had happened, she said "Ok" and went back and got a bowl of snap peas. No "I'm sorry" or "Let us remake it" I wouldn't have had them remake it because I hate wasting food.....but what I hate more is feeling like crap, undervalued and unappreciated. Where was the customer service? If you want a great salad, go here......but don't expect to get what you ordered, after you've been strong armed into tipping, and when you bring it up, expect an eye roll like you're inconveniencing them. I think I'll be taking all my Rollingwood women's group friends, to the new spot for a try......Sweet Green in the HEB parking lot.....or I'll go into HEB and buy a whole rotisserie chicken for $6 and a bag of salad for another $4 and go enjoy two salads at home. For such a casual place, y'all sure act uppity, entitled and as if, you're serving Grey Poupn on top of a Grade A slab of Prime Rib.

I've spent my life chasing the perfect crust, comparing everything from the legendary pie shops in Manhattan to the pristine corner slices in Pittsburgh. I didn't think Austin could pull off truly authentic pizza. I was dead wrong. Baldinucci is absolute sorcery. The moment I took a bite of their Roman-style pizza, I was instantly thrown back to the tiny, narrow pizzerias I stumbled into in Italy. It has that exact, hyper-specific airy crunch that is so incredibly hard to replicate outside of Europe. The dough is clearly fermented with patience. It's light, shatteringly crisp on the bottom, and has those beautiful, irregular air pockets that give it a pillowy structure without ever feeling heavy. Let's talk about the sauce, because that's where most places fail. It isn't that sugary, paste-heavy stuff you find at standard joints. It is vibrant, bright, and tastes intensely of sun-ripened tomatoes and clean olive oil. It is remarkably fresco; striking that perfect balance where the acidity cuts through the richness of the cheese without overwhelming the palate. The vibe inside the West Lake spot is casual and unpretentious, but they take their craft seriously. Food service is streamlined and efficient; you order at the counter, and they pop the slices back into the oven so they land at your table screaming hot. The staff is genuinely proud of what they're slinging, and they should be. If you are an East Coast transplant drowning in a sea of mediocre pies, do yourself a favor and get over to West Lake. It's the real deal. PS: The gelato flavors are also sorcery. However, a review of their gelato is for another time. I must continue to savor the pie for now.

They also serve calzones, New York-style pizza, gelato and wine, so there's truly something for everyone.
