This practice is the business model of coming up with whatever the treatment they can to upcharge. It is a total scam. I have great teeth, I take very good care of them, floss, water pick, mouthwash, and never miss my biannual cleaning. They tried to tell me I had gingivitis and the deep cleaning they need to do will be $3,000. When I said I only wanted my insurance approved regular cleaning, they said there is no way they can do that because the condition of my gums. While I was in the waiting room, waiting for my appointment, there were two other people at the desk they were conning into services they didn't need. The one woman called them out right away on the scam. It makes me so sad to see how despicable and dishonest a dental provider could be. Don't go here - they are all about money. If you're not careful they will rip you off. I went to Dentists of Paradise Valley for a regular cleaning, and paying with the help of insurance. Afterwards, it became apparent that these crooks overcharged the insurance company for my visit... which was supposed to be for a regular cleaning. Just for x rays it was 1200 dollars- they didn't even do my Cleaning, they say I would have to come back when I already schedule the cleaning that day, which was difficult for me to do with my job and kids. The hygienist poked and dug deep into my gums, made me cry .. I have been to the dentist since I was a kid and never had someone poked a stick so far in my gums. She diagnosed me with a gum disease, and said they couldn't do a regular clean as I asked but instead gave me an itemized quote with a charge of $6000 for a deep cleaning and two surface cavities... $1300 out of pocket after insurance. I could get a brand new pair of teeth for that amount!! I will not be back - I will pay the $100 for a regular cleaning out of Pocket to my regular dentist who doesn't take my insurance rather than go back to this place. Worse dentist I have ever been too. The dentist at this office maybe Erika Du Mond? Was a confrontational piece of work. Not only did I show up for my appointment on time - they did not tell me they were running behind - got me in the chair almost 20 min past my appt time and I told them no X-rays I need to get the cleaning and go back to work. The dentist came in and confronted me about "why" I didn't want rays. Not only do I feel like - first my body my choice but second I already explained - YOU got me in late, I don't have time. When I arrived for my first appointment, they were running an hour and a half behind, so I had to leave and reschedule. This was not a good first impression. I was also informed while I was waiting that scheduled they do not do cleanings at the same time as your exam, so I had to schedule an additional appointment. I was able to schedule an exam and cleaning on the same day; which proved to be a mistake as I was at the office for a few hours. After my cleaning (no complaints on the cleaning other than the hygienist trying to sell me every upsale treatment she could muster) my interaction with the dentist was horrific. She waltzed in and informed me I needed 4 crowns and had at least 10 cavities and probably a root canal. As someone who has never had a crown and goes to the dentist every 6 months, I knew this was egregious. I asked her to explain how that was possible when my previous dentist did not have any of those concerns. She said I don't take very good care of my teeth and if I flossed more I wouldn't need all of this work. I'm usually mild mannered and at this point I snapped and told her that she is clearly out for the pay. She finished my son's exam and claimed he had 10 cavities and possibly a root canal. We asked for copies of our x-rays, promptly left and never went back. I found a new dentist, and wouldn't you know it, what they had claimed was not true. They said the X-rays they took were so poor they couldn't have possibly made those diagnoses from the images. While I did need a couple of fillings and one crown (which I was aware would need to happen due to a crack) my experience elsewhere was much better. My son only had one cavity. To think that those people would have drilled into my child's teeth that aggressively and set him up for failure later in life is appalling. And to think they wanted to essentially remove half my molars for crowns that will ultimately need to be replaced more often was appalling as well. Moral of the story is beware of this place. read more

This Dental office doesn't even deserve 1star. Don't make the same mistake I made going to this Dental office. They replaced a crown last year and it fell off over the weekend. Crowns should not be falling off. I went in to their office so they could fix their shotty work and they said it would be $50 to cement the crown back on. They don't even stand by their own work. The Dental Assistants will also question you about why you're taking specific medications since they have access to your MyChart. Super awkward and judgmental. Going to the dentist isn't fun to start. Needless to say, I am going to another Dentist going forward. read more

I had a dental emergency over Easter weekend and came to Dentists of Paradise Valley on Monday. They quickly scheduled me and gave me treatment. I was so impressed that I scheduled my normal preventative and cleaning with them. Dr. Jacobi and her team are outstanding. They also have specialists in-house, and I was very satisfied with Dr. Lee, their endodontist. The entire staff have been most professional, from setting appointments, treatment plans, insurance billing, and overall care. Very clean facility. read more

Horrible! They are only trying to get your money and they recommend very unnecessary cleanings and procedures. They wouldn't take my xrays from my last dentist at a different state which was done in the past 6 months. Dentists of Paradise Valley is a great place! Starting with the front office, Jenny and Jen are very nice and patiently answer any insurance concerns. Then, Brittany, who is the assistant to both Hygenist and Dentist gives you a very pleasant X-ray experience all the while super happy, sweet and efficient. Usually X-rays hurt my mouth as I try to chomped down on a hard piece, this office is ALL State of the Art latest equipment and I wasn't uncomfortable! Martina, the dental Hygenist was also very nice and knowledgeable. After a pleasant cleaning I mentioned a tooth/gum area that has been sensitive only when I brush and I'm glad I told her. Martina looked over the X-rays and brought the tooth to Dr Brown's attention. Dr Brown came in and showed me the X-ray of that tooth.....cracked right down the center and it also had a cavity! Dr Brown is awesome! She carefully gave me all the details on my tooth and what it needed. Having had a few teeth which needed crowns in my lifetime, I knew the tooth was headed for infection if I didn't act fast! Dr Brown was able to fix my tooth that afternoon, so I made the decision to have it taken care of immediately. I've never had such an easy and comfortable dental experience!! And I was thrilled to find out that Dr Brown could place the real crown on ...not just a temporary crown. I didn't need to make another appointment! As I said...All the latest equipment, so my crown was made at their facility! No having to deal with a temporary which invariably falls off during the normal two week period while waiting to have the real crown placed. I'm super happy I found Dentists of Paradise Valley on my Medicare insurance plan! read more

I use to go to this dentist back in 2019. It was my first time to the dentist in a few years. (I've never had braces or cavities in my life! I was 26 years old) they told me I needed retainers for bottom and top. Then switched it to a night guard and bottom retainer...then magically I got a cavity too smh. Fast forward to present day, I moved back to the area and decided to go back for a 6 month cleaning and they told me they are unable to do so as I need to have a deep cleaning/scraping of my gums as I was in the stages of gingivitis...so then I leave and schedule an appt to get this done later. Well I canceled the appt and then a couple days ago I was hit with a large bill for things the did at that appt that my ins didn't cover....I called and they said there was no balance. I'll be following up. Then I went back to old dentist ( even though is really far) and there is nothing wrong my teeth. read more

THE BEST! From making appointments over the phone with Shannon (Office manager) to getting what I need to get done, everything was a pleasure. I've been having swollen & bleeding gum since the beginning of my pregnancy. I wanted to get it checked out and get cleaned. I had my OB/GYN to fax over the restrictions on X-rays. The tech did follow the restrictions and double shielded me (I was at 19 weeks pregnant). Dr. Teiman and Martina (Hygienist) said that I needed a deep cleaning. Dr. Teiman worked with my OB/GYN to be sure what local anesthesia they can use - only took them 2 days to call me back to book an appointment! Dr. Teiman made me feel comfortable before the procedure. Martina did a great job on the cleaning! She made sure I was ok the entire time. After the treatment, no more swollen/bleeding gums! I would never recommend this dentist office to any of my family or friends... I was seen because I needed a dental cleaning and a filling. I already new I had a cavity that needed repair but when the dentist (Dr. Tiesman) did her exam, she recommended a demi-crown (~$1000-$2000) instead of a routine filling ($50) I was shocked!!!! I followed my gut-feeling and refused the procedure and asked for a second opinion with a more experienced dentist at another clinic. The next day, I found a marvelous dentist at PERFECT TEETH and the doc confirmed easily that only a routine filling was needed as my cavity was not that big at all! I'm outraged that this inexperienced dentist (Tiesman graduated in 2018) tried to upsale some complicated and costly procedure to me without a valid reasoning. Anyways, I don't understand the lack of ethic when it comes to upsaling services just to make money on the back of clients (and insurance). Is that how new graduates are trained nowadays ? read more

Recently moved to AZ and have had a hard time finding a dentist as good as the one I had back home. After going to a few around the Valley, I have found my forever dental practice! I had a wonderful experience! Beautiful office & professional staff. The office was very clean and everything was thoroughly sanitized before and after my treatment. Brittany, who took my x-rays, was a delight. Visiting the dentist can cause some anxiety, yet she actually made it fun with her bubbly personality. Martina was one of the best hygienists I have had. Very thorough, yet gentle and explained everything she was doing. My teeth have never felt so clean. And I love the way I was shown pictures of the front and back of my teeth prior to treatment.
