Blueberry matcha latte, Cappuccino (6 oz.)

Only reason it's not a 5 is the whole parking situation. Had to circle a few times before I decided to park a few blocks away and just walk. Noticed they had a good crowd of students and remote workers so assuming WiFi is good there. Got to sit outside and enjoy the day while having a productive meeting. Loved the coffee and matcha we had they were delicious.

Nice coffee shop just one street down from all the cute stores and boutiques in downtown Homewood. Parking can be a little tricky, but the coffee is delicious! I chose a seasonal Iced Cookie Butter Latte when I came here. They had a good number of seating inside as well.

Blueberry Vanilla Latte is actually so fantastic. The flavoring doesn't overpower the espresso at all. Mwahhhh. Plus it's cute inside and lots of tables.

It has such a cute, homey atmosphere! It's the perfect spot to study or catch up with friends, and they even have a nice outdoor seating area. The coffee is always so good, and every visit has been a great experience. Plus, they have a drive-thru for when you're on the go or running late, which makes it super convenient!

This place is so cute and cozy! It's in a nice little downtown spot, not much parking. There is TONS of seating and it's very spacious. The coffee is so good. I got a hazelnut iced latte and it was shockingly amazing. They have a ton of creative specials too. I wish they had more food options, but my friend loved her cinnamon roll!

    Matcha Latte, London Fog

Atmosphere: Located in Homewood, Caveat Coffee is a cozy, relaxing coffee shop to get some work or studying done. There is a surprising amount of seating options, from an outdoor patio to upstairs and downstairs seating areas. Service: Our barista promptly took our order and the drinks came out hot and quick! Food: We ordered a London Fog and Matcha Latte. Neither of the drinks impressed us. They both mostly tasted like milk. The London Fog barely had any tea in it, and there was not a speck of sweetness to it. From what we could see, the matcha powder used did not look very green or vibrant, and that was reflected in the drink's dull taste. Overall: We've heard great things around Caveat Coffee, but unfortunately, our first experience did not live up to the hype. We'd be willing to come back and try their coffee, but we wouldn't recommend their tea-based drinks.

This was a great find to get some work done. They have free speedy internet and plenty of outlets. Other coffee shops were stuffed, but this one had plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. I had the gingerbread latte that was very affordable and it was delicious. It wasn't the fanciest latte I've ever had... no latte art here, but for $5 it was great. The only disappointing thing was the absence of food. They have a shelf of what looks like Costco danishes individually packaged for $4.50 each and some kind bars. But I'm not docking any stars since it is a coffee shop after all. Everyone was very friendly and the bathroom was clean. There were several larger tables which would be good for study groups.

    So good.

This place is a tiny coffeeshop on a somewhat congested block in Homewood and there are only 2 parking spaces for it. So I've never been inside. That's ok though because they have a drive thru and it's easy to just circle around and get coffee without having to get out of the car. Prices are about average for the quality. Made 3 or 4 bucks for a macchiato or cortado. The coffee itself is excellent. Service is quick, friendly and efficient. So, if you're looking for really good espresso drinks and you're not feeling the whole idea of going inside for the full cafe experience, you can get in amd out of here really quick with your beverage and without a lot of stress. Definitely worth a shot. I'm sure I'll be back.

The place itself is a relaxed environment where you could study or catch up with friends. I tried the iced Aden latte (espresso, milk, pistachio and lavender) and it's the best coffee off of lakeshore. None of the flavors were overpowering the others. I also ordered a biscoff crepe and a sabaya. The sabaya was flaky and crispy, smothered in delicious honey. It wasn't the thickest sabaya but I enjoyed it! The biscoff crepe was so decadent. The crepe itself was soft and chewy, the perfect texture for such a delicious crepe. The fruit given with it also paired well with the drizzled sauce. I am looking forward to supporting this locally owned spot more often!

I was excited to try the baklava as they looked beautiful. However, while the flavor was very good, the texture was all wrong. An authentic baklava is supposed to be crispy, flaky, and crunchy, especially on the top layers. While it is heavily soaked in sweet syrup, it should never be soggy, mushy, or completely soft. Unfortunately, the ones we had tonight were indeed soggy and completely soft.

I, however, was anything but cute while eating my sandwich I don't want to speak too soon since this place is still new, but the hot Italian sandwich might be the best sandwich I've had in the Birmingham area so far. The bread, sautéed onions and peppers, and whatever sauce they put on it took it completely over the top. I also love that they're open for Saturday lunch! It's worth mentioning that there's a park nearby if you do visit with your kiddos and need something to do after.

The staff was more than happy to accommodate, and the additional syrup made a noticeable difference. While I probably wouldn't order *The Southern* again, I'm definitely interested in coming back to try the **Bootlegger** or **First Lady**--both sounded much more up my alley. The standout of my visit was the customer service. The staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and genuinely invested in helping me find something I'd enjoy.
