Eclectic coffee shop with food. Choices of seating both inside and out. Despite the long line to wait and place order, it was relatively quick. Easy enough to find seating for 6 at 10:00 on a Saturday. Food was good but very disappointed I didn't get to try the homemade peanut butter banana honey toast due to the peanut butter running out. Seeds is known for this being a house favorite.

Food first, thoughts after... I visited Seeds for one of my study days and overall a great experience. Spacious seating and delicious food and drink. With earphones in I can study anywhere but when I entered an online meeting my instructor said it was a little loud on my end. Overall a solid study spot with earphones! Plenty of parking spots with ease!

Kept seeing this coffee shop at the farmer's market and wanted to finally try them. I ordered a basic oat milk latte because I was quite unsure what I wanted that day lol and because I didn't really want any food I also didn't want to have 2 sweet treats. The latte was smooth and the art was beautiful as you can see. It got a bit too noisy in there after a while though, but the inside was cozy with multiple tables to sit at plus outdoor seating. I got the pumpkin muffin which wasn't my fav. I will be back to try out more drink though esp iced because the ones everyone kept walking past me with looked so good.

Amazing outdoor working space. Open air, comfortable seating, spacious tabletops. Perfect for working on a beautiful day! I had the honey cinnamon iced latte from the seasonal menu. Loved it! Not overly sweet or milky. Perfect for a mid-morning brew. I also tried the orange cranberry scone. Not the most amazing pastry I've ever had, but certainly did its job. Seeds offers some more fleshed-out breakfast plates, too! You could totally eat a hearty breakfast here with the eggs plates. They sell their own beans and some other home-brewing merchandise. Definitely worth checking out and keeping it local. This place gets busy! The parking lot fills up fast, but there's usualllyyyyy a spot to be found. There are a ton of employees!! And they're needed! The entire time I was there, there was somebody at the counter ordering. Most all of the tables were full on a Tuesday. There is a co-working space next door so I wonder if some of that overflow leaks into Seeds. This section of Homewood is developing into a wonderful community! The new entertainment district across the street, The Edge, is worth checking out too.

Wonderful as always! This place is always busy it seems and packed with everyone from families to students to business professionals. Their coffee is some of my absolute favorite in Birmingham and I love the additions they have to their food menu from Birmingham Breadworks.

The coffee here is great! You can find just about anything here- hot or cold. They also have a full breakfast menu. I came here on a Saturday morning before work. The line was out the door, but it gave me plenty of time to figure out what I wanted to order. I got the iced vanilla latte. It was so delicious! I highly recommend Seeds!

Great menu, delicious coffee. They definitely know what they're doing. Lots of seats to camp out for studying or just hang out. I wish they provided better hours - closing at 3 mon-sat makes it really hard to visit when you have work during the day. 4 stars because of limited hours and I asked for light ice so barista made my latte like half full.

First time at Seeds and it seems to be a popular place in Homewood! The parking lot was packed and lots of people sitting inside and outside. There is plenty of space to fit everyone. I got a vanilla latte which wasn't bad but not anything crazy. I was hoping they would have more flavored syrup options to pick from. There was a line but it moved and they got my order out fast.

The iced lavender citrus latte was great-- subtly sweet and floral but not overpowering. The to-go plastic cup lids seemed to leak with every sip (same for my wife's iced latte as well). I took the lid off, cleaned and reapplied, but still leaked. The drinks were great, though and we appreciated the fast service!

The coffee shop itself was super cute with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, which was really nice! It's definitely a popular spot. I got a caramel latte and it was pretty good, and the service was great too :)

Next up on my coffee shop bucket list.... SEEDS!!! I came here kinda midday after my lash appointment. Still relatively crowded but seats available. I sat by a window and took in the ambiance. It was peaceful. I placed my order at the counter with a nice lady. I couldn't resist not getting that beautiful chocolate chip cookie that was on display. It's like this cookie was smiling at me and only ME!!! Needless to say, the cookie was amazing and went VERY well with my drink. The Cortado here did not disappoint! It was soooooo delicious, pretty and my fav thus far! I really enjoyed it!!!! I highly recommend! I don't love the parking situation here. The parking lot is just weird to me but it's doable.

Great food and great service! Waited maybe 2/3 minutes to order, food and coffee came out fast. Loved my lavender latte, nice balance of citrus (I was a little worried.) Also got a HUGE biscuit sandwich, and I mean HUGE, with a runny egg. My friend got a burrito and she said it smelled funny? but tasted good. So, just be aware of that if you're sensitive to smells.

Best iced coffee in Homewood! And the price is reasonable too. Recommend! Only caveat is that it is not organic.

What sort of food items are offered here? We'll be in town for one morning and I'm looking for great coffee (sounds like Seeds fits the bill) AND somewhat substantial breakfast options? Anything healthy besides just baked goods?

Seeds has expanded their kitchen and now has a pretty great breakfast menu now with lots of different options.

Are you guys ever open ?? Can you let me know what your times are ? I went here last Friday and Saturday -both times closed and you're closed sundays. I tried calling today and no answer.. is this place closing down?

Hi! Sorry about that. It appears that our entire staff was in Destin on a staff get away while you tried to come by. I'm not sure why no one answered your call so I️ apologize for that. Thankfully, Seeds is not closing down.…

The place itself is a relaxed environment where you could study or catch up with friends. I tried the iced Aden latte (espresso, milk, pistachio and lavender) and it's the best coffee off of lakeshore. None of the flavors were overpowering the others. I also ordered a biscoff crepe and a sabaya. The sabaya was flaky and crispy, smothered in delicious honey. It wasn't the thickest sabaya but I enjoyed it! The biscoff crepe was so decadent. The crepe itself was soft and chewy, the perfect texture for such a delicious crepe. The fruit given with it also paired well with the drizzled sauce. I am looking forward to supporting this locally owned spot more often!

I was excited to try the baklava as they looked beautiful. However, while the flavor was very good, the texture was all wrong. An authentic baklava is supposed to be crispy, flaky, and crunchy, especially on the top layers. While it is heavily soaked in sweet syrup, it should never be soggy, mushy, or completely soft. Unfortunately, the ones we had tonight were indeed soggy and completely soft.

A bold claim, no? Maybe that's all you need to know... but I love writing about coffee shops so don't stop here. I love real deal coffeehouses (yes, in a house) and it's so cozy in here. I didn't stay to work because every seat was taken both times I came in (late morning), so get here early or perhaps late, if you want a seat in the middle of the week. The baristas couldn't be nicer. They took their time and chatted with customers, a rarity in those crowded coffee chains. Do check out those seasonal lattes (I mean, for February, a cherry blossom latte? Say less). My favorite is on the regular menu, a salted rosemary latte and it's literally perfect. I adjusted the sweetness level to be less so, and I loved the notes of floral rosemary and coffee. Pro tip: skip the line and order ahead!

Other than that, there is street parking on the one way next to the building, or on 18th (main drag through downtown Homewood). They have a drive-thru, but it's a bit odd at first glance. You either enter from the one way street paralleling it or from the alley that runs behind the building. It looks like you're driving up onto the sidewalk! If the line of long, it might be a bit of a wait, so I wouldn't count on it if you're in a hurry. I always get an Iced Blueberry Vanilla latte, and it's ~$7. I ordered the seasonal latte, **The Southern**. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite for me. The flavor felt a little muted, so I asked if they could add some extra Roosevelt syrup. The staff was more than happy to accommodate, and the additional syrup made a noticeable difference. While I probably wouldn't order *The Southern* again, I'm definitely interested in coming back to try the **Bootlegger** or **First Lady**--both sounded much more up my alley. The standout of my visit was the customer service. The staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and genuinely invested in helping me find something I'd enjoy. They asked thoughtful questions about my flavor preferences and made recommendations instead of just taking my order, which I really appreciated. The shop itself was clean, welcoming, and located in a convenient area. Parking is plentiful nearby, though you may have a short walk depending on where you park. Overall, even though my drink wasn't a home run, the excellent service and inviting atmosphere made this a positive first visit, and I'd gladly stop by again to try another latte.
