    Champagne list

Highlights: *Intimate, Elegant, Michelin "Pedigree" Dining *Not for the cost conscious: Expect to spend $250++ per person for food and wine/champagne, plus tax/tip *Delicious and artistically presented creations Behind a white curtain in the Four Seasons Building lobby is a small, gilded gem with only 10 or 12 tables, large leather chairs, round marble tables, a chandelier, small marble bar/open mini kitchen, and a level of haute dining not typically found in Miami. Caviar Russe is in its fourth year in Miami following a 20+ year tenure in Manhattan with one Michelin star in NYC for the past 6 years. You can spend an unlimited amount of money on various caviar tastings and/or proceed to the lunch/dinner tasting menu where you select three small courses for $150 plus uncharges on several items (lobster, snow crab, foie gras are an extra $25 each). There is also a seafood tower with caviar for $350. We started with a half bottle of Billecart Salmon Reserve Brut, $70, although full bottles of Champagne can be had starting at only $105 for Perrier Jouet and go up to $1,100 for 2006 Cristal. There is a relatively large selection of white, red and dessert wines all over $100, as well as wines by the glass and cocktails. To complement our Champange we split a glass of Paul Autard Chateauneuf du Pape for $28. Some wines BTG are served via a Coravin which provides for better wine conditions than most other restaurants. The two of us choose six dishes to sample and our favorites were, in order: 1. Lobster, Caviar, Hollandaise, crouton. 2. Foie Gras Port, Pear, Almond. This is served cold, shaped to look like a red apple. I always thought of foie gras pate as ok but nothing spectacular, but this dish hit it out of the park. It is served with A delicious brioche. 3. Blue Fine Tuna, tomato foam, burrata, cucumber. 4. My guest listed the Halibut, pork belly, chanterrels, parsnip as one of her favorites, to me it was good, but the first three outshined it to my taste. 5. Octopus with wilted romaine, romanesco, chorizo, not bad, very tender, cooked sous vide for about 7 hours if I recall. 6. Snow Crab with Caviar, Avocado, Aioli. The least favorite of my guest, but I found it ok. There is not a full kitchen, so many dishes are pre-prepped and finished at the small kitchenette that's part of the bar. Somehow, they manage to deliver them with amazing style. We wanted to try a dessert so ordered the chocolate dessert, only $20, which was decadent and rich made from premium Venezuelan chocolate. As a complimentary accompaniment to our meal we were presented with a basket of warm Madeleines. They were exquisite. The eight or ten pieces disappeared in a flash. Service is professional but very aloof. Some may misinterpret it to be snooty or cold. Being that some diners are sociable I would ask the management to think about training staff to connect more with diners who might be looking for some interaction. A white coat chef was present in the restaurant but did not seem to connect with anyone except a couple at the bar. On a Friday evening the restaurant was about half full. Final bill for two was $635 including tax and gratuity. Overall it was a nice experience, but the restaurant could be doing more business (if they want to) with a few tweaks.

I hate this restaurant, and I'll tell you why, because it ruins ever other dining experience in Miami forever. This restaurant is sublime, exquisite, and exceptional, perfectly curated dishes at an elevated level. We celebrated our anniversary here on Friday night and it was incredible. We've been looking forward to dining here for quite sometime, and this was the day. I can't say enough great comments on the preparation, and service. The two David's treated us like royalty, and the chefs we interactive and inviting, often presenting their dishes directly to us with an explanation of what we were getting ready to enjoy. If you like fine dining gourmet, this is a treat, and highly recommended!

I love this little gem so much!! It's quietly tucked away in the Four Seasons Hotel. If you're not careful, you will definitely pass by it. It's a small and quaint space. The food and service is certainly an experience that one should try in their lifetime!

First time trying this cute restaurant out , it's very very small inside the Four Season Hotel First Floor The plates and the decor are very beautiful. Our servers were very attentive with our questions about the menu. We had the $150 3 course meal which was phenomenal (you get to choose 3 dishes from their menu) , we both got to share 6 plates + appetizers + dessert Definitely recommend to come to this place for a special occasion , the restaurant has very few tables so it's very private. The food was served in decent portions enough for 2 people to be able to taste it together. Not a lot to leave you full but not too little to make you want to order something else afterwards Our favorite favorite dish of all night was the Parmesan egg and the butternut squash soup. It was super delicious , the caviar was amazing and the little crepes to eat it with were also a nice touch (not pictured) We will definitely come back when they update their menu to try dishes.

This place is great. I really love their happy hour special where you get 50 grams of caviar and a whole bottle of champagne for only $100. What's not to love about that? Aside from their power hour, the food is great. They don't have a large selection, but what they do make is really good. You can choose a 5 course meal that the chef will pick for you, or a 3 course where you pick what dishes you'd like. I really loved their foie gras and oyster dishes. Those had to be my favorites. I definitely want to come back for the happy hour, and to try the few dishes that I haven't tried yet.

Listen, if you want to spend as much money possible for as little food possible this is your spot. I figured I wasn't that hungry so paying 150$ for a three course meal wasn't something I wanted to do, so I ordered the filet al a carte.... big mistake $60 for two strips of steak MAYBE 3 ounces total. Tastes great tho, but wow I almost choked from laughing when they set it down in front of me.

I'm absolutely in love with this decadent little hide away! The restaurant is small, cozy and discreetly located inside the lobby of the Four Seasons. The service is friendly, highly attentive and seamless from the moment of arrival until leaving. They have a stunning selection of caviars (which are also available to take away from the store in Four Seaons) Our favorite is the Gold Osetra served with Billecart Rose. On our last visit the chef was kind enough to bring us a sample of a new dish he was preparing which was a beautiful king crab stack with caviar and it was exceptional. The tasting menu is fantastic. Each time we visit it gets better and can't wait to go back again. It's always nice to find quality food, service and value for money in Miami.

4.5 If you walk by Caviar Russe (right off the lobby of the Four Seasons Tower), you could easily mistake it for just another ritzy lobby bar instead of a one Michelin star restaurant import from NYC. A couple of decorative iron panels attempt to define the entrance. The openess of the space and the tables just outside of those panels can be misleading. Once inside, it's clear this is the real deal; one that is ambitious enough to come to Miami and join the march towards a possible starred future. You know, in case the Michelin guide ever decides we aren't as aloof as we seem and realizes we can be serious about fine dining. While I'm not holding my breath for that, I will give Caviar Russe props for delivering an impressive first dinner. Having worked at two of my long time favorite restaurants (The Modern & Catch), Chef David Valencia* brings plenty of knowledge to the table. Did I mention he also worked for Alain Ducasse? White furniture, glistening gold accents, and a beautiful glass chandelier center the room. The staff takes great pride in offering a five star experience. I later learned that the team actually works without a full kitchen. The ingredients are prepared and served raw or sous-vide. As expected, the menu revolves around caviar. While there are different types of caviar available by the ounce, the type served with the courses is the mild and nutty Caspian Sea Classic Osetra. What I tried: Steak Tartare Caviar Caesar Bone Marrow Toast Octopus Carpaccio Black Cod Foie Gras Cafe con Leche dessert HIT: The Caviar Caesar, Foie Gras, and the Steak Tartare impressed me the most. Paired with the classic caviar and warm bone marrow toast, the cool, rich and tender Steak Tartare easily stood out from the rest. At no point did the caviar overpower the dish. Not that I would object to caviar overpowering ANY dish, but I digress...The toast was a delicate, yet hearty addition. MISS: The corkage fee. Bringing my wine in to dinner and paying a corkage fee is something I do on a weekly basis. However, the corkage fee here is $75 per bottle, making it the highest I've found in Miami so far. This time, I chose not to bring mine and order off the menu. The problem? They do not have a properly refrigerated cellar yet; the wine arrived at room temperature. Our waiter did go out of his way to make sure the wine we chose was chilled down to our preferred temperature rapidly. Given they are still very new, it's forgiven...for now. Because of its size, I'd say Caviar Russe is perfect for an intimate romantic dinner and for the serious gourmand. Must. Love. Caviar. Wishing them much success. Miami is NOT an easy nut to crack. Overall, I loved this restaurant and will be back again later this year. Update 9/04/2016 Chef Valencia is no longer with Caviar Russe.

The food was all freshly prepared and all of the options on the menu were readily available. We each placed our order and decided to eat inside because it was a pretty hot day. The restaurant was also very clean from what I could see, and of course the food was fresh and tasted delicious, however the steak was overcooked. It's located right across the road from campus, making it an easy win for students or anyone in Sweetwater looking for a reliable, healthy-ish meal. The interior is pretty standard--a nondescript, counter-service setup designed for efficiency. However, the outdoor seating area is where this place really shines. It is well-shaded and shielded from the Florida sun, creating an inviting space whether you're meeting up with friends or need a spot to pop open the laptop and get some work done. The menu is surprisingly expansive, but the best way to describe the experience, at least for what I ordered, is an elevated Chipotle bowl. I went with the Jerk Chicken bowl over black beans (no rice). The Chicken had a nice, clean flavor. It wasn't seasoned to the extreme, so if you're looking for a massive spice kick, you might want to ask for extra sauce, but the quality of the meat was clear. The black beans were cooked perfectly, and all the veggie add-ins were crisp and fresh. The staff here is incredibly friendly and they clearly pride themselves on the "heavy hand"--the portions are huge. You definitely won't leave hungry. It's a great local alternative when you want something fresh, fast, and substantial.

We tried the Chicken Shawarma Pita Pocket, and it clearly is better than any other sandwich option. The soft pita wraps around warm, creamy hummus (honestly one of the best in the city), pickled red cabbage, Mediterranean pickles, and that well-seasoned chicken shawarma. The mix of lemon tahini, mango aioli, a touch of spicy relish, caramelized plantains, and roasted red pepper sauce gives it a really layered flavor without feeling heavy. Everything works together, and nothing competes. We also had the Cilantro Falafel Bowl, which comes with a base of hummus and lemon cabbage salad. The falafel with lemon tahini is crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the bowl is packed with roasted cabbage, cherry tomatoes, English cucumbers, chickpeas, pickles, pickled red cabbage, and pita wedges. It's simple, very fresh, and filling in a clean way. One thing that stands out at Happeas is the personalized attention, you actually feel taken care of, and there's a good chance you'll meet the owner while you're there. The vibe is relaxed, not rushed, and they've thought about small details, like having a self-serve water machine with still and sparkling options, which is a nice touch. Overall, Happeas delivers honest, well-made food with flavors that feel intentional but not overdone. Great spot for a quick lunch that doesn't taste like a compromise.
