I'm a local and frequently dined at Cayton's. Latest menu is outrageously priced, but was willing to pay the price for their Fish and Chips. Well, quality was great, portion size was pathetic. Stellar and friendly service as we celebrated our 1st anniversary. Really enjoyed the casual vibe, cozy atmosphere and tasty burgers and fixings. Good if small curated local brews. Burgers were hearty and tasty (try the crinkle sweet potato fries) - and excellent starter of spinach arugula salad. They aren't lying when they say the milkshakes here are to die for! We had the pleasure of dining here during a visit to the Ritz and I am very happy we did! This is a part of the country club portion of the Ritz, so it's along the golf course and a little drive from the hotel itself. They are known for their savory burgers and mouthwatering milkshakes. We dined on the patio as the sun was setting and the weather was just about perfect. It's such a serene environment and they do an excellent job of creating a similar ambiance in the restaurant. While sitting by the fireplace, we both ordered burgers. I went for more of a classic burger with cheese and avocado and then we split the fries. Typically, you think, well a burger is a burger anywhere you go and so I wasn't expecting anything much different. However, there is absolutely something different about this burger. It had the perfect flavor and was just the right amount of juicy inside the brioche bun. It was hard not to gobble up every bite! For dessert, we splurged with their famous milkshakes. They come out in a glass, along with the metal milkshake container with extra shake. I ordered the peanut butter chocolate and loved every minute of consumption. If you're in the area or staying at the Ritz, I highly encourage you to stop in for a visit. read more

Tranquil and enjoyable either after a round of golf or just because. This is the clubhouse to the beautiful Jack Nicklaus golf course at the Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain. Cayton's serves up "American Comfort Cuisine with a Southwestern Flare". They have a nice Happy Hour from 3-6PM that locals should really head out there to enjoy. The fish and chips on the menu is A-MA-ZING!! it is slightly spicy with a light crispy breading and the dipping sauce is tangy/spicy... definitely has the "Southwestern Flare". Any of the food we tried was great! Great patio to enjoy the cooler weather months in Arizona. Very romantic in atmosphere, makes for a nice weekend date. read more

Came to Dove Mountain for ladies member guest this weekend. Couldn't get a seat to have celebration drinks after the tournament because we were told they have to save tables for Ritz guests "in case someone shows up". Place was very empty and looking at the prices and bad food ratings I guess that's understandable. As an Icon member we are very disappointed with this treatment. read more

Wow, this place was fantastic! My friends and I were staycationing at the Ritz Carlton and someone suggested Cayton's for dinner. After a long day at the pool, it was perfect! We took the shuttle over and were immediately greeted. We were told the sunset from the patio was amazing, so we asked to be seated out there before dinner. We were quickly served our drinks and thoroughly enjoyed the view. Truly worth catching! We then were escorted inside to the private wine room where I had the most phenomenal short ribs ever. Everyone's meals were great and the service was amazing. If you are out that way, Cayton's isn't to be missed! read more

The atmosphere is somewhat snooty. Nice looking, but you can feel the attitude of the employees and the patrons. Our server maybe thought he had seen me before and called me by someone else's name. (This was our first time there!) The server was reasonably attentive otherwise. While my dinner (crab cake burger) was really good, as were the tater tots, my wife's sliders were inedible. She asked and confirmed catsup on the side, but it was on the burger anyway. The meat was dry and there were peppers which was NOT stated on the menu. (Big No-No!) But here is what really had me annoyed: we both ordered margaritas, on the rocks, with NO salt. My wife watched closely as the bartender made them. He loaded the rims of the glasses with salt and poured the drinks from the shaker. Then, after discovering his mistake, he poured the drinks back into the shaker allowing much of the salt to go in there with it. Then poured it back into new saltless glasses. Guess he thought no one was watching. When the server brought them to us, we mentioned the action. He offered us fresh drinks, but we declined. While he did offer new drinks, we do not know if he said anything to the bartender. Given the feel of the place, and the actions of the bartender, we will not return. Grossly over priced. You are paying for the pleasure of dining with the cream of society. I'll wager my tip was far greater than the guy with the $90 golf shirt. read more

For of us went for dinner last night. The house potato chips were excellent, though some might find them overcooked (I like them that way). Shared an order of the mussels, which is one of the reasons why I rated 4 stars instead of 5 - they were small. The bison burger was very good, but I ordered medium rare and it came out medium. My wife ordered the crab cake with the recommended whole wheat bun and she thought the wheat was overpowering. The best thing on the menu is the sweet potato fries - crisp on the outside, soft and sweet on the inside. One order will easily do for two people. The view from the patio is one of the best in Tucson, and the happy hour prices are really quite good. I'd go back for the happy hour and enjoy the view with a half-price Dragoon IPA. The server was very attentive without being bothersome. Overall, the ratio of employees to guests was very high, no wonder they have to keep prices high. Our bill was $56/couple, a lot to pay for burger, a fries, a beer and an appetizer, but considering the setting its a nice special occasion destination. read more

Spent a few days at Dove Mountain and had dinner at Cayton's. The food was excellent and the views were incredible. Had some nice music and they even turned the TV to the hockey match for us. The chili roasted chips were great. We loved the White Russian milk shake and the burgers. The only reason they get four stars instead of five...The bathroom was a mess with 1/3 a roll of Toilet paper for the whole bathroom. We come every year and will be back again. We had a few less than perfect things at the ritz this trip, and we come every year at this time. Our server apparently got a call from the front desk because she would have given us whatever we wanted. Service is beyond incredible and the people at the ritz always try to make it right! read more

Since CoVid-we went to Cayton's as they are open for limited seating for dinner. As our first real venture eating in a sit-down restaurant setting, we were, once again, able to enjoy the most amazing Tucson sunset on their outside patio. Had one of their wagyu burgers and an amazing cocktail -Canyon Cosmo! Joe our waiter, provided exceptional service, while keeping all the distancing, mask, cleanliness standards in place. What a great, hidden out of the way gem. Food was great, service superior. The problem with this place is it's nearly impossible to find. Follow signs to Caytons golf shop, go across the way, under arches, keep going and there is a small sign on top of the building. It is definitely worth the search! read more

Favorite burger place. They have nice views of Dove Mountain golf course, so definitely come here for a nice sunset and sit outside by a fire. A very nice place to eat. We had the Blue burger, which was 1/2 lb. burger with blue cheese crumbles and fried mushrooms on it. It was delicious. along with that we enjoyed a huge basket of sweet potato fries and a White Russian Malt that was really good! The White Russian malt is Vanilla ice cream and Coffee Ice cream combined to make a really tasty treat! My husband and I shared one malt and it was a nice amount even though we shared. Love this place especially on the outdoor patio for the view ! The service is excellent as it is always at the Ritz, the menu is casual as this is the golf restaurant, and the atmosphere is casual! I've eaten here at least 20 times. Occasionally the flies from the watered golf course can be pesky- other times they are not around. If it's a problem the staff will move you inside. My family and I LOVE Cayton's! Anytime we want to feel like we are on vacation in a nice place with amazing views, we go eat at Cayton's. We recommend this place to all our friends and once they try it, they understand why we love it. We had a large group for dinner on Friday Nov 23rd, including 5 kids under the age of 8. Although the hostess was not very friendly or helpful, our server, Ky, more than made up for it. He was incredible with the kids and was very helpful for the special dietary needs of 2 of the adults. Everyone enjoyed the meal but it was really Ky who made the whole experience so special. Great view, bar and food right next to The Golf Shop. Our family wanted to grab a burger before leaving our staycation for Phoenix and were glad we stopped by. This is part of the gold course, so it was a very dead atmosphere when we went for dinner. The service was terribly slow. It was known for burgers and shakes, both were so rich and gross I could not eat them. Sadly, I would have preferred regular fast food. The shuttle system is extremely slow, so make sure you take your rental car or prepare for a long walk. read more

We went to dinner at this restaurant last night. We were a bigger party seated in a lovely, separate room. That was the best part. The service was not great. My daughter's gluten-free burger was mixed up with someone else's and they started eating so it was a bit too late to switch them. She did not get her sweet potato fries. My Caesar salad was sad. There was just iceberg lettuce thrown in a bowl with a piece of grilled chicken. It did not get tossed with the dressing. I had to ask for the dressing and there was not a piece of Romaine lettuce. I have had better Caesar salads at Buffalo Wild Wings. Go there and save a lot more money. This place is hiding behind a facing name. read more

This Ritz Carlton Bistro located a short distant from the hotel property used to be on of our favorite destination restaurants. We live year round in Dove Mountain and frequented the restaurant throughout the year, not as occasional hotel guests. Hamburgers are $20. A glass of Decoy red blend wine is $17....this wine sells at Costco for a little under $16 a bottle. But this doesn't matter to us because the atmosphere is wonderful. We made a reservation tonight for 8 people that included our kids and grand children visiting us from Cape Cod, along with our best friends and next door neighbors. We waited about 15 minutes after being seated before our server came to our table to get our drink order and apps. When the drinks and apps arrived, they were quite good. Likewise our entrees were very good and delivered as ordered. Our major complaint is the service, the lack of attention, and the feeling we were really not important.....certainly not in keeping with the Ritz Carlton tradition of service. In short, is was a very disappointing experience and it's doubtful we will ever go back. read more
