The fish dinner is really good, the side dishes as well. Nice atmosphere, friendly people, pretty quick to serve. I'll be back!

A husband and wife own this place and they couldn't have been more friendly and hospitable. They had. A nice selection of dry and some sweet wines so there was something for every taste. We each did a tasting and really enjoyed the Chardonnay and the Riesling. They also have a space here for events. It's beautiful so it's defiantly a perfect spot for that if you are in need.

We made it to the other side of the lake! Our adventure today took us to Izzo's White Barn Winery,…read morea small but welcoming spot tucked into the beautiful Finger Lakes wine region. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with a cozy, down-to-earth atmosphere that made us feel right at home. We started our tasting with their unoaked Riesling, a bright and lively wine crafted from grapes grown along the shores of Seneca Lake. It had an enticing aroma and a clean, crisp finish that really highlighted the natural fruit flavors. Next up was the LaCrescent, a white varietal that was refreshingly dry with a subtle citrusy edge and just the right amount of acidity--perfect for sipping on a cool afternoon. After that, we moved on to the Cayuga White, a semi-sweet offering that had a beautifully smooth mouthfeel and a well-balanced sweetness, making it an easy favorite for those who enjoy wines with a hint of fruit-forward character. Finally, we wrapped up our tasting with the Maréchal Foch, a deep, dry red with rich notes of black cherry and a velvety smooth finish. This one stood out as a great example of how lesser-known hybrid grapes can still deliver bold and elegant flavors. During our visit, we had the pleasure of chatting with the owner (at least, we believe it was the owner!), who shared some insight into the winery's operations. He explained that they grow three to four different grape varietals in their own vineyards, while supplementing with additional grapes sourced from other vineyards throughout the Finger Lakes region. It was clear that there's a strong sense of community among winemakers in the area--he described it as a "big happy family" that collaborates to support each other through every step of the winemaking process. One of the most interesting tidbits we learned was about the live musician performing that day--not only does he provide entertainment for visitors, but he also plays a huge role in the winemaking process, handling 80-90% of the work at the winery! It was incredible to see such a hands-on approach, where passion for both music and winemaking came together in such a unique way. As for the owner himself, he had an infectious sense of humor--quick-witted, engaging, and full of personality, he made our experience even more memorable. The winery is relatively small and appears to have limited hours, especially in the winter when it's only open on Saturdays. If I remember correctly, they may extend to two days a week during the busier months, but it's definitely one of those hidden gems that's worth navigating to if you're in the area. All in all, Izzo's White Barn Winery turned out to be a fantastic stop, offering a delightful mix of great wine, warm hospitality, and local charm. It's the kind of place where you don't just taste wine--you get to experience the heart and soul behind it.

I'm not sure if customers are able to walk the vineyards because it was raining when we got there. We stopped in for wine tastings - $20 for the preset menus and $25 for selecting your own wines. The tasting includes 4 wines and I thought the pours were generous. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza with hot honey to share and it was delicious. The service at the vineyard is a little strange because we sat in the main room upon entry but were told to go pick up our pizza in a different room. Thankfully they weren't very busy and the sweet lady that poured our wine ended up bringing the pizza over to us. They have 3 or 4 different rooms you can sit in. We chose the main room with both low top and high tops, one room had a fireplace to snuggle up next to in cooler months, and then the outdoor seating where they had live music allowed you to feel the breeze and see some views. The wine was good - our favorite of the day being the Cayuga White so we purchased a bottle to share which is a much better deal than buying by the $12 glass. This is a great place to hangout with friends or go on a date. It wasn't too busy on a Saturday afternoon but steady and very enjoyable. We played cards while we sat and drank and it was a wonderful time.

Super cute spot with lots of unique cider options and great cornbread/desserts!…read more We tried the Funkhouse, Sparkling Cab Franc, Fruit of the Bloom, and Persici (in order from dry to sweet). My favorites were the Fruit of the Bloom which is infused with ginger as well as the Funkhouse. I liked how crisp the funkhouse was and I loved the ginger note in fruit of the bloom. The others were okyay too, persici was very sweet but paired nicely with the ginger hazelnut baklava which was incredible! I am allergic to pistachios, so I loved that I could eat their baklava! We also tried the cornbread with strawberry and jalapeno butter- absolutely incredible. I am from the south and have had a lot of cornbread but this truly stands out. It came out warm with a slight crunch from the crust while maintaining the perfect crumb inside. Just crumbly enough and not too try! I also really enjoyed the jalapeno and strawberry butters- you can tell they use high quality butter, they almost reminded me of goat cheese. I preferred the jalapeno butter a tad more but both were great! The exterior is beautiful- the views are very nice. I would highly recommend coming on a warm day and sitting outside. We initially sat on the balcony but moved due to the bees. The tables underneath the white tent were shaded and bee-free. Service was pretty quick- our ciders came out almost immediately. We had to wait ~10-15 minutes for the cornbread though, but I didn't mind especially given it was warm! Overall, I would highly recommend!

Rustic, somewhat isolated house solidly built. It's excellent for souvenirs (jams, butter,…read morespirits, and of course, cider). Prices aren't the best, but considering everything is made in-house, I'd say you're getting decent value. Houses about 25 people for seating comfortably. I'd suggest trying a flight (4 samples) of cider. Can't go wrong with anything but we went with the sweet cider flight. We ordered the pulled pork, choripan, soup, turkey pesto melt, and farmers salad, along with an immunity (ginger) cocktail. We liked the soup, melt and pulled pork, but would pass on the choripan and farmers salad, esp since all meals came with the same salad anyway. While I don't think you should go here just for the food, it's nice to grab some cider before heading off on a hike and enjoying the natural scenery.
