This is our go to Mexican restaurant in Crescent City. We are originally from SoCal so we consider ourselves decent Mexican food graders. Not Michelin here but Its good. A+ food. Our favorites are the fajitas, Chile Relleno, and they also have good salsa. I like everything on their menu. Have fun and eat well. read more

Cazadores is the best Mexican restaurant in town. It's run by a family that knows how to cook great Mexican dishes. The service is wonderful and the girls make you feel welcome. I have been driving by this dive of a Mexican restaurant in the city with a reputation of having one of the highest Mexican restaurants per capita! There are more restaurants than any others in the small coastal town. While Covid pandemic shuttered several shops these family owned Mexican restaurants survived. It shows how resilient the family owned business can be. I love the divey smaller family owned businesses where familiar waitresses are friendly and owners cook their home style dishes. As a result the prices are reasonable and quality of each dish excellent. This place is no exception. All of the dishes are home made style with large portions and reasonably priced. We loved every single dish, Super Nacho, Beef Steak Fajita, Flour Tortillas, Mushroom Cream Chicken dish. I give enthusiastic Five Stars. read more

Ended up at this lovely packed place and they seated us almost immediately ( we were only there for the drinks ) ‍ unknown if that had anything todo with anything. Once seated Lucy came over and asked us what we wanted we orders the Cazadores Margarita with everything! That drink was amazing. They gave use chips and dip the wife wanted guacamole instead of salsa which Lucy got for us in no time with the place being super busy. Server Was pleasant. Chips were fresh and warm, good mild salsa. Got the super nachos and made a request for chorizo as the meat but was denied and accepted ground beef. Ground beef was pretty bland. Cheese was as plain of a Jack mix that you can have. They had run out of hot salsa the previous day and we're still out at 3pm the day I visited. Decent overall experience and got some warm food. We have gone here a couple times a month since we moved here last summer. Everything we have ordered has been great. They remember me and my order. The staff is friendly and they always do a great job. My husband loves the salsa and the fried ice cream. The prices are also reasonable. I would recommend giving them a try. read more

The food was really bland and everything was $4.00 - $5.00 more expensive than the menu pics on yelp (my carne asada nachos were $18.50 and they sucked and my son got three ground beef tacos w/ beans and rice- $19.50!!!!). the drive through Mexican restaurant in town was better and a way better deal. Have you ever sat down at a meal where every bite was filled with so much flavor that when you were full you kept eating? Cazadores in Crescent City offers that meal. They are under new management and the chef is incredible. They have dinner specials and tonight I ordered polla grilled with a chille reallno and I'm pretty sure I butchered the spelling. After camping four nights on the Smith River, we were ready for a substantial meal. I thought a good Mexican dinner would do the trick. We asked around and checked reviews and decided on Cazadores. The Kicker was that one review said they had a good Mole. We decided to have to specialty dinners: Chicken mole enchiladas and Al Pastor Tacos. Both came with rice and beans. The Rice was fine and the refried beans were particularly good and creamy. I could taste the Chocolate in the Mole which was a plus. The Al Pastor was chunky and flavorful, but not too saucy and wet. The table salsa was so-so but the hot salsa we requested (thanks to another review) was excellent and not insanely hot. Overall a really good standard Mexican meal. My sense was that it was better to spend a couple extra bucks on the especiales. Often the standard combo meals (meats) can be a bit more boring. Anyway we came away with a very low priced meal and very satisfied bellies. Carmen, our server was warm and attentive--I look forward to eating there again when we return to Crescent city. read more

The restaurant has a charming setting they kind of takes you back to the 70s or 80s appears to be family owned and run. Warm smiles all around by the staff very pleasant and attentive. I had to burrito plate and an added shredded beef taco. The food looked amazing and some of it was but the shredded beef taco shell was extremely hard and did not taste like it was made in the restaurant or possibly even in this country wasn't impressed with it at all.The two burrito plate of shredded chicken and shredded beef was good but lacked flavor and the the middle of the shredded beef burrito had very little meat. The chips were hard and didn't appear to be made in restaurant. All that being said the service and food out kitchen time was fantastic. read more

Stopped in for lunch with my daughter. We both ordered the tostada. They were delicious. Staff was friendly and service was quick even though the waitress mentioned they were very short staffed. The place was packed so it must be a local favorite. Took away a star for cleanliness in the windows were some fake flowers that need to be thrown out or cleaned. It's just not appetizing sitting next to dirty fake plants while eating. read more

So we had a hair in our rice so I gave it to the waitress and she went to ask for more and the cook said no it's from "la Gorda" across the table. Don't talk crap, your not the only ones who are bilingual. That was my mom sitting across from me, that's absolutely not professional and her hair was tied back and not blond.
