Only reason why I give it a 3 is because I was a bit disappointed. I was the only one who was told that the drinks were self serve and everyone else around me was getting their drinks served to them! Not sure if ya because I was brown and everyone else around me was white... Nonetheless gotta give credit where credit is due!! My hamburger was top notch though!! read more

We, and all the tables around us, waited over an hour for our food after ordering. While we understand the food is scratch food, it's not worth an hour wait. The apple pecan salad tasted good, but the club sandwich was just okay. The fries were very undercooked. There server never once apologized to any table for the wait for the food. read more

While we were on vacation and we decided to stop at Elise's Eatery. Let me tell you they did not disappoint. The service was over and above better than anywhere I've ever been. The menu was full of great choices and we decided on chicken fingers basket with fries and BLT with fries. Both came out faster than we expected, and the taste was so amazing. The chicken fingers were crispy and tender, and had a great flavor. The BLT was one of the best I've ever had and the prices were reasonable and you got way more food for the price we paid. They had seating for about 25 people which was cozy and friendly. The inside design and atmosphere was really well done and welcoming. This is the place that I would definitely come back to frequently if I lived in the area. We stopped by on our trip to the beach and were not disappointed! I ordered their version of the party melt and the curly fries. I would definitely recommend getting this meal, curly fries were seasoned and fried perfectly. I really like how the sandwich was fried, the bread was crisp and it was delicious . Our party of 4 arrived at 7:30 pm, knowing that they were closing at 8:00 pm, but hoping they would be able to serve us. We would not have tried arriving closer to closing than this. As we were waiting to be seated (and it appeared that they had room), we saw a girl hurriedly rush over and unplug the "Open" sign. She then walked over to us and explained that "anything on [their] menu requires 30 minutes to prepare, and [they] were closing soon" so they couldn't possibly serve us, but we could "come back tomorrow." Call me crazy, but I think if a restaurant wants to stop receiving customers at 7:30 pm, they should publish their closing time as 7:30 pm, not 8:00 pm. And if you turn customers away once under these circumstances, don't count on them returning. Elise's food may be great (as other reviews attest), but their understanding of customer service is strangely lacking. read more

Elise's was hopping on a the evening we visited! We had a bit of a wait, but it was absolutely worth it. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was delicious from start to finish. The highlight, though, had to be the chocolate chip cookies! Based on other reviews, we drove here for lunch from Brookings, OR. Glad we did! My husband ordered the Chicken Strips Basket which came with 6 huge strips perfectly fried, onion rings, coleslaw, Mac n Cheese, and a biscuit. All kinds of dipping sauces are available and they are not stingy with them either. I ordered the Redwood Burger with Fries and coleslaw. The burger is huge and tasty and I loved the brioche bun. The chicken was very hot and all the food was very good. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant is very basic and clean. Not too many (decent) eateries we could find for dinner in Crescent City, but glad we went with Elise's. We arrived around 7:30pm and they let us know it was takeout only with a 45min wait. Everything else closed at 8pm so we were stuck. We picked up our food around 8:15pm and since they were closing, they threw in a mac & cheese for free. So nice! Food: The chicken tender basket was exactly that. Good ol' chicken tendies (good portions). The curly fries were kinda soggy, but the to-go box may have steamed them during transport. Overall, not memorable, but satisfying. The fried chicken was delicious and crunchy. If i ever found myself here again, I would get that as my entree. It's good the mac & cheese was free because it was okay. Kinda dry and bland so we added some pepper and buffalo to make things interesting. We waited over 1 hour and twenty minutes from the time we ordered food to when we finally received it. I am honestly in shock as to how 1 burger and 1 chicken sandwich can take that long. When we did finally get our food, it was overcooked and the bacon was chewy and gross. Also, the cook with a very large beard was not wearing a net. Road trip 2025 Day 4 We made it to California! We ended the day at this awesome little eatery, in Crescent city, the burgers were Great and were a generous portions size, everything came out fast and fresh/piping hot, we met the owner operators who were just 24 and 25 years old and we're wowed but their professionalism and desire to provide excellent food products and service.
