Francisco Daniel Edwards Lopez is a scam artist. He left our project unfinished and owes us at least $10,000 in damages. He doesn't keep his word and lies about everything. The work he did on our house looks like shit. Most of our kitchen cabinets are crooked and sloppy, mind you this is supposed to be a "Custom" kitchen. Daniel delayed the project by 6 months before we had to fire him. He wouldn't show up and never answered our phone calls. ** DO NOT WORK WITH HIM!! You will regret it!! He has changed his company name multiple times but we will continue to come after him. I bought a new home and wanted the kitchen updated and new paint throughout the house. I did my homework reading countless reviews on remodeling companies and interviewed 5 different companies before deciding on CBB. They performed exceptionally! Very high quality and detailed work at a very competitive price. They resurfaced my cabinets (kept cabinet boxes, replaced fronts with new cabinet doors and soft close hardware) painted them, even moved one of the existing cabinets up to give it a high end offset appearance. They absolutely look new - at a fraction of the cost. They also changed the height of the existing island and put in a beautiful new granite countertop as well as added hanging lights above the countertop. They also reconfigured my fireplace in the family room (raised it off the ground) and built a new mantle along with changing out the tile surround. As they worked and continued to prove the quality of their work, I would throw other things at them that I wanted done. Next, I asked them to design and build my covered patio. With the benefit of it being screened in, this area has become an additional living area and it is absolutely the main gathering location for family and friends. This is where their flexibility shined. Some of the additional work I ask them to do would have been a nightmare for other companies, but Daniel and his team were very patient, flexible, and fluid with me Update - last month I had CBB add a full bathroom to the guest room upstairs where there was an existing closet. This included a full shower build and all required plumbing, relocation of the existing closet and electrical. CBB continued with their history of remodeling excellence with me. The bathroom is fantastic, provides flexibility for guest / parent's short term and potential long term lodging needs, and significantly adds to the value of my home. Excellent quality work all at a reasonable and very competitive cost. I can't speak highly enough about how satisfied I am and would recommend them without reservation. read more

Totally chaotic - had his granite guy come out to install countertop and Daniel had the wrong size sink on the job site for over 4 days. Job was supposed to be completed in 3 days - i hired them because of this promise - NEVER did complete - just walked off job and never came back or answered calls! Required more than 50% down - DO NOT pay them this!!!! They should be and I will report them to the Better Business Bureau. CBB Brothers Construction is in the process of remodeling our Master Bathroom. I was concerned when calling them because we were working with a very limited budget. They have worked with us to stay within our budget from the start. They have even offered us cost saving advice and it is turning out beautiful. No surprises or unexpected expenses. The constant and open communication is superb. If I have a question, they are only a phone call, text, or email away. They always reply back within minutes. If they tell you they will arrive at 8:00am you can expect them at your house at 7:50am. I am also impressed with the long hours they put in even on Saturdays. The entire process from the first day has been incredibly satisfying. The step by step process they use is exactly how we like doing business. They are thorough, detailed, and customer-oriented. We enjoyed working with the entire staff. They totally complement each other and work as a team. What has impressed me the most so far is how the project has been kept so clean, every day. They clean up the area before leaving and take great care of our home. We sincerely recommend CBB Brothers Construction and hope to have them back for other projects in the future. I selected CBB from multiple proposals received for various renovation work. They were midrange in pricing, and seemed knowledgeable. The contract stated that work would take 6 weeks to complete. After signing, they got to work right away. Things seemed ok initially, but then little deviations from what we agreed upon started occurring. However, given the initial conversations, I continued to trust them. The first project dragged on....took them 2 months to complete a room that they said would take 2 weeks. Several conversations and unexpected change orders later, all work was finally completed (2 months behind schedule). Throughout the entire process, there were several moments of miscommunication, misunderstanding of initial conversations, and futile attempts to cover up wrongdoings with freebies. We spent $61k with CBB. While some of the work they did turned out good, there were several issues that we experienced (some of which I had to remedy). They claim to warranty for a year, but I can't get them to come out and review an un-leveled kitchen counter. If I could do it all over again, I would have paid the additional 9k to the runner-up bidder. The workers were very respectful, worked diligently and were meticulous. They cleaned up after themselves and only left a stunning kitchen that looked brand new. CBB Brothers remodeled our patio to make it larger and much nicer than before. They also installed drainage for our back yard and pavers in the side yard. We are very happy with all of their work. I've never done this before and I hesitated a lot to do it but I realized I don't want to mislead people when they are going to spend a considerable amount of money on something important for their home. Unfortunately, I wrote my review before the job was 100% completed. I asked Daniel several times to come back and finish some very small details and it was never done. I had 6 drawers with no handles on them and a light fixture that was hung but not working properly. In addition my range was never sealed back properly to my counter so the edges are lifted up, making it look like it's sticking out of the counter. I also had several scratches and paint splatter on my floor and finally, the paint on my island chips easily. I've had to retouch it several times in 8 months. If he sent the guys back for just a couple of hours of work, I would not have had to revise my review. read more

I have used CBB twice for my painting needs. My neighbor has used them as well. Each time, the guys did a great job. Anyone can paint a wall or trim. You have to look at the details from the painting to judge the work. The CBB guys did an excellent job with paint lines where the walls and trim meet. They also did some minor work on the sheet rock and wood trim. They came and left at the time we agreed. When I had them do the first job, Daniel gave me a paint bid that was a lot lower than a big name painting contractor in Sugar Land (who also had a very long project start time). The rooms I needed painting had very high cathedral ceilings (20 ft.). They did a very good job. The second time I requested CBB painting services (bedrooms), I never looked for another bid. Why should I? As I expected, the second paint job was just as good as the first. Before he left, Daniel (owner) made sure the rooms looked good. He also gives you a written warranty on his work. Do not use these painters! I had them paint the interior of my home and the owner seemed nice and professional, at first... After deciding on a painting job the owner left two unskilled, not-english-speaking laborers at my home to paint. They did a terrible job! The biggest problem was over painting. They painted over light switches (which were supposed to be removed), bathroom light fixtures, trim, and even the blinds! There were paint drops on the tile floor around my house and they moved things around without washing their hands so we now have paint hand prints on some household items. The thing that bothers me the most is the level of unprofessionalism from the owner himself. After the painters left we discovered they had broken the glass part of a large picture frame. I called the owner on his cell phone and he never called back. Then I called the company and finally got through to him. I told him about the picture frame and he came over to replace the glass. After taking the frame away for about an hour he returned with a seemingly fixed glass frame. After he left we noticed he had replaced the glass with plastic!!!!!!!! I attempted to recontact the owner, but he never returned my call... Again, do not do business with this company! read more
