Nightmare!! The staff is nice and the array of things crammed in this store is awesome, but the manager or owner I swear is slow! I custom ordered paper for my wedding invitations, they didn't have it in stock so i waited 3weeks for it to come in(that's fine) but the day before I was suppose to go in and pick it up she calls and tells me the paper color is discontinued! WTF!? Lame!!! She didn't wanna help me find something close, Ooh wait! She did actually!! too bad the color she recommended was teal when my wedding color is Ice blue and silver!! Color blind bat! Have you ever let your imagine run wild? Have you ever had the tools to make those thoughts come true? If not the latter, Creations By You doesn't undersell - it's true! I went half heartedly looking for a project and found myself wondering the modest footprint for over a hour. Nearly every imaginable item was available and when not, enough to spark your imagine down a new path. On top of it, everyone was incredibly nice. I think everyone in the store asked if there was some way they could help, though unbeknownst to them, I was simply letting creative thoughts take ahold. The parking lot is a bit hard to navigate, when it's busy. However, that they have parking at all is a positive. I've never considered the area as a hot bed of creative small shops, but perhaps it should be - in 1 or 2 blocks, I found everything I could think of and everyone was equally as nice. They have a wide selection but one of the ladies was not very customer oriented. I almost decided not to buy here. I think her name was Val (someone else called that name). She left me at the counter twice. I had to ask another lady her whereabouts. I'm thinking maybe she went to locate my request. The first time I found her wondering. The second time she told the lady that she was helping someone else. I thought this was very rude!!! If I'm getting on your nerves or just a little lost on what I want...have patience or get a new job. Totally disrespectful. The customers were more friendly. I have to pick up more beading that I ordered from another rep. So, I will not have much to say to her when I return. She cannot help me at all. I've been a fan of this store for many years. I used to work at another customer paper store called Paper Roses and the girls there would sneak to Creations by You just to adore their creative designs and swarovski crystals. Throughout the years I've developed a deep respect for the work that Debbie (Paper Goddess), Val (Crystal Queen) and their team do. They are innovative and in-tune with the up and coming products that will only upstage your invitations. This is also the only place on the island that offers an almost complete selection in colors, shapes and sizes of swarovski flat back crystals. I really appreciate how organized they are in storing them as it makes it easier on their customers. The place is almost always packed so it may take a while to be serviced but the girls do their best to at least acknowledge you and assist you in between customers. You have to understand that it takes time to do what they do. Cutting 5 different ribbons in 5 different lengths; color matching that shade of coral ribbon you have to a cardstock; custom packing a swarovski pack because they just received shipment in your shade of citron green; or counting 350 sheets of text weight paper for your DIY wedding invitation project. You just have to be patient and your turn will come. As far as product goes: the best one-stop shop and selection you will find. For myself, I look for quality ribbon, papers and crystals and I've always been pleased with Creations by You. =) read more

Creations by You is one of a few stores that have such a WIDE assortment of highly specialized crafting supplies (esp. for beads, ribbon, flower arrangements, jewelry, etc). For my wedding, I wanted to change my black grosgrain sash to a different color and texture. I "window" shopped on Etsy.com for vintage velvet ribbon, petersham grosgrain ribbon, and vintage lace. Etsy is well priced, but I wanted to support our local business. As expected, CbY had 2 boxes of assorted antique ribbons, 2 boxes of antique velvet ribbons, and dozens of lace to pick from. I definitely found what I needed and so much more! For my wedding center pieces, I wanted dupioni hand-dyed silk ribbons. Again, CbY had a nice selection of these ribbons in 3 sizes and at least a dozen colors. The price was equivalent to Etsy without the shipping!!! I visit the store on Mondays so it's not busy. Either way, I always shop knowing I will have to be self sufficient. The crafts there inspire me and often supplies the most unexpected interesting ingredients to create my best work! I spoke with the owner about their customer service challenges and recommended they put up signage to inform customers of craft class schedules and when appointments are in session. Also, the idea of a sign-in system (like restaurants) so customers have an idea on how long their wait may be. I'm DEFINITELY more patient when I know what's going on! In the end, they are a small business doing their best to make everyone's creation dreams come true and sometimes the biggest cost is a little patience on our end! read more

I came here for materials to make bracelets, with beads that have sentimental value to me. (I have never made jewelry before). After picking out all the tools, wire, and chains needed for this project, a very kind employee actually taught me, and made me a sample, of how to make the bracelet exactly how I described it to her. I left confident that I could make these bracelets myself. Well, that night I was frustrated and my confidence totally depleted after trying to make wire loops! I returned the next day to see if anyone could help me with my problem. I really wasn't expecting too much help (I know they are busy), but another (very patient) employee actually helped me fix the issue and allowed me to finish the bracelets in their adjacent room so she could check my work. This project was very important to me and without their help, I wouldn't have finished. I am so grateful for their kindness and will definitely be back! read more

This is super late and I apologize, my wedding was almost 2 years ago and I met with Deb and her wonderful ladies and they all was so amazing, I planned my wedding in only 4 months and Deb assured me I was totally fine, I came in and she gave me so many ideas and gave me her advice, I wanted something simple since I was working on a budget and looked at all the samples and finally made up my mind, I also had a lot of information to write on my 2 sided invitation and me and Deb would communicate via email on a certain look, I also wanted a floral look and she helped me see that it would be fine, the wording and of course the bling, they also helped us pick out some jewlery for my bridesmaids and a broach for my matron of honor, oh yes I am a touch it, feel it type of person and I couldn't do things on the Internet even though it would've been cheaper, I so loved coming here and cannot wait to make other invites here for formal occasions, miss and love you all @ CBY read more

My sister had a pair of earrings that I really liked, so she took me to Creations By You. Once there, Dannelle helped me fashion a pair that captured the main design elements of the originals. I was so pleased and inspired with these, that again with Dannelle's help, I made two more pairs of earrings! I cannot speak highly enough of Dannelle. She was so patient with me, and has an unerring sense of color, design, and proportion. I only had to pick the pieces, and she did the wiring. I came away from Creations By You, with THREE pairs of earrings, that are one of a kind; perfectly complement the shape of my face, are my "style", and I have to say, WAAAY cheaper than what I would have paid for them, had I bought them in a department store or boutique. I had stopped in looking for some buttons for a knitting project I had just completed. Not quite the most forwardly helpful, but if you actually go up to someone and ask them for advice or help finding or picking something, they seemed helpful -unlike the reviews I had read. Managed to find some nice antique glass buttons for my knit. I will probably be going back again soon. They had enough buttons to suffice my knitting needs as well as a pretty decent selection of beads, crystals, paper crafts and items to bejewel and bedazzle- everything from trays of beads, buttons and crystals to key chains, mirrors, barrettes, etc to start your bejeweling projects. I may end up with some new crystallized projects in the near future! read more

In looking for somewhere to do my printing for our wedding, we were able to get so much more done with Creations By You! It is a little shop with so much in it! If you need help, all you have to do is ask and the women there are more than happy to help! It is informal, which feels like you are visiting a friend's home or business versus a major store... which is so nice. We ended up having ALL of our printing done with Debbie and her husband... the invitations, envelopes, rsvps, escort cards, favor cards and programs! They even designed our card based on an idea we had which they didn't have in their samples. They were so easy to work with and the prices and turn around time was fantastic. The quality was beautiful and perfect, from the font to the color to the graphic to the paper! We had soooo many compliments on everything! Because it's also a craft store, we also got most of the supplies to decorate the favors as well there. It was such a relief instead of running around everywhere. All of our guests commented on how neat the favors looked... we used the ribbon that looks like red ti leaf... It is so unique. Debbie and her staff helped calculate exactly how much ribbon and flowers etc that we would need almost to a tee! It came out pretty much exact, even with a few mistakes and trials! Do not sleep on this place if beads are needed, including Swarovski bicones & Swarovski pearls! I went to three other bead stores and the prices were insane. I came here and not only was the selection much more than the other stores, but the prices were on par with what I am accustomed to in Las Vegas. I absolutely love this place! Creations By You is an awesome find in Liliha that I purchase items for personal and business use. I have been coming here for years and have had nothing but excellent service. For everyone that is new to this store, the parking is on Liliha St, the first driveway on the right, right passed the store. If there is no parking there, there is another small parking lot. It is the last parking lot on the right coming up Liliha St just before Kuakini. I have always had great customer service here. It is better to schedule an appointment for a wedding or celebration consultation, or even if you need help with a project. They are also willing to help you if they are available and not helping other customers. Debbie, Val, Bruiser, and Rachel are all wonderful staff that give excellent service to all of their guests. read more

Been going there since 2017 when I was looking for more than flora dec, sorry to see them gone, they where lil cheaper than this store, small bag of plastic beads $7 when Walmart charges $2 for same. I like the store, its not the store but the SERVICE** 1st Woman kept changing prices and gave higher price then what was marked on items or box that had single items. Then other women finished sale & she started to change prices too. What horrible service. First off, I walk in to have the lady behind the counter just look at me and not even say hello! Come to find out, that was the owner. I went in specifically looking for paper. I did a walk through the whole store and couldn't find it. There was another girl there who I thought worked there and I was ready to ask her for help. When she looked at me, she didn't offer any "hello" or "welcome" or "Can I help your find something?" Again, just a dead stare. So I thought, "i guess she's a customer." After 10 minutes of watching me look completely lost, the same girl and the lady behind the counter both finally asked me if I needed help. I guess these two workers can only function as a pair. Anyhow, I found the paper and stood at the counter for another 10 minutes. The 3rd worker in there knew what I needed but stayed on the phone to gossip about her upcoming trip. The 2nd worker at the counter continued to help a lady look through a box of beads and the owner was dealing with a salesperson at the door saying telling him how she didn't need advertising for her store. I came to Creations by You to get some loose beads and hemp. I walked in for the first time and was not even greeted by any of the workers even though they looked right at me. I perused through the small crowded aisles for about 5 minutes, obviously not knowing where I needed to go to find what I was looking for. And yet, nobody came to help. Finally when I was able to get a word in with one of the girls (who in the meantime was chatting away with coworkers) to ask about the hemp, she tried to brush me off, instead of showing me where it was! So. Much. Things. To. Look. At. I have come in here a few times. The first was to buy some beads, glue, and pocket mirrors and lipstick holders to bling out. I felt a bit crafty, so I walked through out the whole store checking it out, and I must say that you HAVE to take a stop here for any crafting needs. The second time I've been here was to check out some stuff to decorate my graduation cap. I found a nice bag of flat pearls (assorted sizes) for a very reasonable price. I showed a worker a picture that was my inspiration. The picture had diamonds, and not pearls. Unfortunately they didn't size diamonds that I would like, but the worker recommended the flat pearls and I couldn't have been happier! My cap came out beautiful and I had many compliments on it! The store is small, but its packed with so much stuff! You'll definitely find what you're looking for here, and the workers are friendly and always willing to help you out! read more

This place is fabulous. Debbie is a craft genius. You can tell she really loves what she is doing and as a result when she helps you, she really helps you. She has a great eye for detail and excellent taste. Michael's in the mainland has nothing on this place. The prices are excellent, but better yet, Debbie and Val are super helpful. If you have an inkling of an idea, they will run with it and make it cohesive and even better than you imagined. This place is a treasure trove. Although it is jammed pack with goodies, it is also well organized. We visited this place a total of two times while I was visiting and it was well worth it.. Much more productive than all the times I've spent aimlessly wandering Michaels. My wedding favors are going to be spectacular!!! read more

Debbie is awesome and super nice! She's very attentive to detail. My husband and I got our wedding invitations made here and it turned out gorgeous and exactly how I wanted it! Everyone who received the invite called it "fancy". My friend comes here for swavorski crystals and decorations which she said is cheaper than most places....so they now see me more often for the same things! This place has tons of stuff for making invitations, favors, and crafts. I came here to look for ideas for my wedding invitations. The staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't really know what I wanted, so they let me browse and take pictures of samples. If you have a special vision in mind, or you want to be very creative and hand-made with your invitations or other papers, you have to check this place out. For me personally, I realized that I am not quite as creative as I thought I was, and I really didn't have the time to glue rhinestones (even if I had wanted them) on my invitations. I think every bride chooses what's most important to her. I would say that visiting this store was a good experience and I would visit again. They had a very diverse selection of paper and bead crafts supplies. It's nice to check out local places like this, and not just always stick to the huge mainland chain stores. read more

An assortment of beads, flatback resin, rhinestones, and other craft items. There's a room in the back with cards, invitations, and wedding related things. Do you have to pick up ribbon? They sell ribbon by the foot so you don't have to buy the roll. It's cheaper that way especially if you like to buy the nice material ribbons. They also sell other stuff for people who like to do crafts like scrapbooking. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went in today looking for some ribbon for my wedding invitations and although they have a huge selection of ribbon and crafting things they have no idea what customer service is. I work in retail for a company who prides itself on excellent customer service so my standards are pretty high but this place was as worse that walmart. First I was not greeted upon entering the store even though there was an associate right at the counter. Second when I asked for advice on what type of ribbon to use and different ways to tie bows since I assumed they would know how to create something ascetically pleasing, I got, "oh the one you have (satin with gold trim) won't work." ummmmm any suggestions or guidance? then the lady just walked away. Large ribbon selection that snakes around the store and, my favorite, a beautiful collection of lace tucked away in the back room. I was in HEAVEN! This hole in the wall is filled with all types of beads and craft supplies. They had a variety of paracord and even sold the buckles for the bracelets in all sorts of different colors. I went for flatbacks to decorate my phone case and the organizers filled with them were never-ending. Before I stopped by the store I read reviews and was nervous because of the terrible customer service they spoke about. After going in, I can see why people would think they are rude. The workers leave you alone to shop, which I appreciated. When I had questions I simply asked and the workers were more than happy to help. I will definitely recommend this shop to all my friends.
