Let me start off by saying that the ladies who work here are literal ANGELS. They are patient, kind, accommodating, and are truly there to help you find a dress that, in their owners words, "make you feel like a million bucks!" I visited Casablanca over a little less than a year ago now, and from my first visit to my very last, they were amazing. First off, don't be fooled by their smaller boutique, they have many dress options and were super accommodating on me wanting a long sleeve dress to cover my arm tattoos. They were totally non-judgemental and made me feel beautiful no matter what dress I tried on. I ended up going with a fitted mermaid style dress that was not what I expected- I originally wanted an a-line dress but somehow I fell in love with a totally different dress style. The dress was about 1-2 sizes too small, so we ordered the dress in one size up per the owner and 6 months later, my dress came in. Now, the only thing they didn't do was measure me at my first appointment, so unfortunately when the dress came in, it didn't fit me perfectly. It was definitely too tight on my arms and my chest area. They did say they could take out the dress and make alterations, but my mom felt that there wasn't enough room to let it out. They ended up calling the owner, who allowed me to look at a few new dresses that just came in while she checked if they could order my dress in another size up. Mind you, this was 3 months away from my wedding date, so I was really nervous that it wouldn't come in on time. I ended up trying on another dress closer to my original vision, a-line, long sleeve, and totally beautiful. Now this new dress was 2 sizes too big, but because of the original dress mishap, they said they would provide alterations for free! I was stunned by their kindness and their need to make what happened right. So now, 3 months before my wedding, I now had a new dress, and they were able to alter it to fit me perfectly. And listen, their tailor is literally amazing- so don't doubt the power of a great tailor, because the dress literally felt made for me after being way too big. To wrap it up, on my wedding day, my wedding coordinator did not know/could not zip up my dress. I'm going to skip all of the crash out moments (lol), but long story short, we called Casablanca, and they a) tried to explain it over the phone, then b) facetimed us to try and show how to get the dress to zip up, and when that didn't work, they literally drove down to my wedding venue and helped me into my dress. When I tell you these ladies are angels, I MEAN IT. I could not believe how much they were willing to do to make sure I was able to wear my incredibly beautiful dress. THANK YOU Casablanca!!! I have to start off with Rowena, who is amazing at what she does! I came in with an idea, a vision, a budget range, sample images, and although I didn't get exactly what I had envisioned, I came out with an equally beautiful dress within my budget. Made an appt for the next available Saturday which was 3 weeks away. My wedding is 10 months away, so I knew I had to give enough time for shipping. If all goes well, the dress will be arriving 4 months to the wedding, to which we have ample time for dress fitting. There are 2 main waiting areas at Casablanca, downstairs and upstairs. We waited downstairs until the previous party was completed with their appt, to which we then moved upstairs. I showed Rowena pictures, she pulled a 3 options out. I already knew I didn't like the way some of them looked, she then pulled out 3 more. Then I tried them on. By that point, I already narrowed it down to that 2nd set of 3, Rowena had picked out. Came back the next day with my mom and sister for final approvals. Paid for and ordered a dress that Sunday. The process for trying on dresses was seamless and painless, thanks to Rowena. She truly is amazing at her job and makes you feel so comfortable. As for parking, there are a few stalls in their garage, or you can pull up on the grass up front if your car can go off-roading a little bit. There's also street parking nearby, but definitely carpool if you got several people coming by with you. read more

I went to a few other bridal shops first, and most of them didn't seem too optimistic about my $1,000 budget--they basically told me I'd have to settle for something I didn't love. Anyone feeling nervous or insecure about wedding dress shopping - this is the place for you! I am a plus size girlie, a size 20, and I was so nervous that nothing would fit me. I tried a different bridal store first and nothing there was able to close all the way, making me feel so disheartened and not excited about something that should be one of the best experiences ever. So I figured, let's try Casablanca and see if they're better, and I'm SO happy I did. I worked with Regina who immediately was so warm, welcoming and attentive. I gave her my budget (2k) and my preferences, and she had me go into a large private changing area and brought me different dresses that fit what I asked for. Regina took pictures and videos for me since I went by myself, and she was the best. I was honestly spoiled for choice on her picks, the dresses were all so beautiful. I ended up narrowing it down between 3 dresses, then 2, and had additional help from Rowena and Gladys (the owner!) on choosing the best one. All three of them made me feel so beautiful and comfortable in my body. The prices were very reasonable, I ended up paying 2200 for the dress and veil altogether! When I go back again closer to the wedding date, I will pay for my alterations which they estimated would be 200-400. They also store your dress for free so you don't have to worry about it. :) Such a great service. I have been waiting to write this amazing review. When looking for my wedding dress I was so certain I knew what style I wanted. Casablanca was the 2nd bridal store I had gone to, to look for my wedding dress. I was assisted by Rowena (Manager) and another associate (sorry, I don't think I got her name). As soon as I got there I filled out a form regarding budget and style. As soon as I finished, they got to work and started pulling every dress in that certain style I was looking for. All the dresses looked amazing, Rowena brought out this stunning dress! Totally opposite of what I was looking for. I agreed to try it on, as she's the expert and I thought.. WHY NOT? as soon as I put it on... I could not stop staring at myself... I walked out into the show room a bit unsure b/c it's definitely out of my comfort zone... my bridesmaids and mother were speechless. I got compliments of how "beautiful" or "wow, now you look like a bride." I took one look into those mirror in the show room and I instantly fell in love! It was not what I was looking for but I knew this was my dress! Rowena even gave me the option to think about it, but I absolutely had nothing left to think about. I said "yes to the dress." Rowena has been so helpful throughout this whole process. If there's one thing I did not stress about the wedding... it was my dress. Rowena answered questions even after while I was waiting for my dress to come in. From long to short sleeves, veil recommendations, where to get bridal heels. The list goes on and on. As soon as I started the fitting process Rowena asked me questions and prepared me for things I haven't even thought of. Each time at the store was a wonderful experience. They also knew I'd be traveling with my dress and made sure to package it well and gave me instructions on what to do as soon as I got to my destination. I had no issues with traveling. I would NEVER in my life ever recommend anyone to go here. My experience at Casablanca bridal was the worst experience of customer service I think I've ever had. I was APPALLED by their lack of professionalism, knowledge, and manners. Before making an appointment, I had called Casablanca to ask if they have dresses within my thousand dollar budget. They said yes so I made an appointment. Keep in mind this is by appointment only, we were the only ones in the store at the time of my appointment. Upon arrival with my bridesmaids, we were asked to sit downstairs and fill out a paper with general information about my wedding. There wasn't A welcome, a congratulations, a question of what style I was looking for, or an offer to look around at gowns. We sat downstairs for 10 minutes before a staff member finally came down and asked us to come upstairs. When we got upstairs, we again sat there for 10 minutes with no employee direction or greetings. There must've been at least six employees there at the time. After we waited, we asked if we could try dresses on. One of the young employees pointed toward pointed us toward the dressing room where they had placed dresses that were within my budget. But never told me they were there... I tried on one dress after the other with absolutely no employee help. They were plenty of employees, but no one offered a helping hand to zip up or zip down the dress, no one helped explain what designer I was wearing, what style I was wearing, or any information at all about the dresses I tried on. I tried on about 10 dresses, hated every single one, and not a single employee said a word to me throughout the entire time except when I had to ask them to zip and unzip me for every dress. I even raised my budget up to try to get a better selection of dresses and they only pulled out one additional dress. At this point, I was extremely irritated. In my opinion, if I am visiting a wedding dress shop by appointment, there should be a staff member who is there to help. I should not have to ask to try on dresses, or to have help zipping up or down address. A staff member should be explaining what kind of dress I am trying on and what the benefits are of it. Me and my bridesmaids were so frustrated that we straight up walked out of the store and went straight to Vow's instead. They took us immediately and I had an experience that was 500% better than my horrid experience at Casablanca. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANY FRIEND, FAMILY, OR BRIDE TO EVER GO TO CASABLANCA. read more

I loved every moment of my wedding dress shopping process thanks to Rowena and the team at Casablanca. It was nothing short of magical, and an experience that I feel every bride deserves to have. To start, the dreamy space and atmosphere-gorgeous chandeliers, high ceilings, and massive mirrors-are stunning and create such an impactful first impression as soon as you step inside. I went on a weekday afternoon, so we were the only appointment in the shop at the time. It felt so private and personalized. Rowena is truly incredible, she's so warm and genuine and makes you feel so special. I found a dress that I loved amongst the ones she pulled, and couldn't have been happier wearing it on my wedding day. I got my dress, veil, and alterations from Casablanca, and felt that I was in such good hands the entire time. The entire process was handled smoothly and professionally, and I never once felt pressured or rushed. After my initial appointment, I already couldn't wait to come back for the fitting. The quality of everything, from the dresses themselves to the level of service, is exceptional. To be honest, at first I wasn't even planning to buy a dress; I initially wanted to rent. I came to Casablanca by the strong recommendation from my wedding planner, and I'm so glad I did. Even though I didn't end up selecting my wedding gown from Casablanca, I wanted to still leave a review because they had such excellent service! I was able to make an appointment via email several months in advance. The boutique is gorgeous with a spiral staircase leading up to a mirrored wall with seating for guests of the bride. Stacie and Sonia had such an amazing system where one of them would help me into a dress while the other would be looking for more dresses. They have gorgeous styles, both classic and on trend, and allowed me to try on dresses with a veil and a bouquet! The appointment is an hour long and they only do one bride at each appointment so you get the whole place to yourself! All of the gowns I tried on were less than $3000 and were beautiful! I was able to try on about 12 dresses in 45 minutes which sounds crazy but they have a system that clearly works. Everyone there was kind and sweet, and if there's a style you like they'll keep it on file for you if you don't purchase that same day. This review has been long overdue. My husband and I got married back in 2019, right before the pandemic, and I've wanted to thank Casablanca for their wonderful service for a long time. Rewind to January of 2019- I've worked with Casablanca for other events and knew that Gladys and Rowena provide friendly and amazing service. I made an appointment prior and brought my bridal party with me. Parking is tight but every time I've gone, it has never been a problem. I'm just terrible at parking When entering the location, you walk up a beautiful staircase and get a glimpse of some dresses in the back. I was very nervous, since this was my first wedding dress location. I'm also very indecisive, so I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. I brought a few Pinterest pictures of dresses that I thought were for me. I showed it to Rowena, who kindly asked me what kind of dresses I was looking at and what my budget was. This was helpful because she could narrow choices down for me. (Perfect for an indecisive bride) After confirming the type of silhouette I wanted, she went to the back. The first dress she brought out surprised me at first. I didn't think I would like flowers on my dress and The color was not white white. I was open to just trying on any style at that moment. But after putting it on and walking to the floor to ceiling mirror that they have, I immediately fell in love. I couldn't believe it. I was in denial and thought, "Do I just think this dress is beautiful because it's the first one I'm trying on?" I decided to try other dresses to make sure and explore other locations. (Indecisive remember?) After exploring a few more options, the image of my very first dress always stuck in the back of my mind. It was after an unpleasant experience at another boutique, that I realized that Casablanca and that gorgeous first dress was the one for me. They even gave their professional expertise about certain aspects when I asked. I made sure to order it over 6 months in advance, so that it had enough time to come in. Then I got fitted twice. Amazing AMAZING experience at Casablanca..from day one, Sept 2020, to end, August 2021. The timeline is so long because I had to postpone my wedding because of the pandemic. But through it all, Casablanca was sooo helpful, loving and attentive! After my dress arrived, they kept it at their climate controlled facility because I told them I had to postpone because of our gathering regulations. Long story briefed, I was going to have my moms friend alter my dress. Went to Oahu, oh I live on Maui, to pick up my dress and Gladys (the owner) understood so she packed the dress for me to travel with perfectly (triple protection). My moms friend was gonna charge too much so did a day trip back to Oahu to have Casa fit me. Can I just say AMAZEMENT!!! I did a day trip to Oahu and they altered my dress in ONEEE day!!!! That is serious skills! Gladys knows Pronovias as a line so good she knows how to alter the fabrics correctly and teaches her seamstress and team how to too so it's perfect. I am completely happy with my dress. Even more than the original because I customized it to what I wanted and Gladys and her team executed it to a T! Casa has the best team but they also give college students opportunities in the industry. Okay. Maybe it was just bad timing and day that we went in because of the whole corona virus pandemic going on... BUT walking into this store, we did not feel very welcomed. The employees had no eye contact and no smiles on their faces. They were not there for the future bride fixing the trail and trying to sell their dresses. No drinks were offered. Nothing was offered. Also, parking kind of sucks here. Try carpooling! So, I'm pregnant and nauseous.. I tend to cough when I'm nauseous and try to hold in my vomiting. Lol. I had a mini cough attack and had to go to the bathroom incase I would puke! When I got back up to the gallery, there was a lady who pulled the bride aside and told her, "We just got the place disinfected. Is one of your group member sick?" Meanwhile we are waiting and can hear everything.. very rude. I know people are scared for their healths but we are too! We aren't trying to get this stupid virus. We are so happy we chose Casablanca. We actually stopped by a second spot in the Kaka'ako area after visiting Casablanca. We left after waiting for a few minutes. The vibe just didn't feel the same. It felt like we were waiting in a Ross store. Casablanca just felt more inviting and upscale. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We found a beautiful dress at a great price. Our plans were to have a wedding a at 53 by the sea. Unfortunately due to the pandemic our wedding at 53 turned into an elopement wedding and finally just a photoshoot there. What we didn't anticipate was another shutdown. When the shutdown was finally lifted we were sad to find out the wedding planner that works with 53 went out of business during the second shutdown. I know my fiance liked to look of the grand staircase at 53 and remembered Casablanca had a nice staircase. I called them in desperation to see if we could snap a few photos there with my phone. Luckily the said yes! We were really just expecting a few quick snaps with my phone when we got there. To my surprise they took a bunch of photos for us and even moved stuff around in the shop so the photos would look better. They really went above and beyond what were were expecting. I won a jewelry piece of choice from one of the wedding expo's and came to pick it up. I didn't plan on it, but I asked if I could stay and try on a few dresses. The service here is like no other and they truly treat you like family. They take the time to go over the dress designs that you're interested in and never pressure you into picking something quick. They're so patient with the fitting process and will take all the time to help you find "the one". I'm glad I went with Casablanca Bridal & Formal and highly recommend their services. They never disappoint. Two of my cousins bought their wedding dresses here, and I finally joined the bandwagon and got mines here too. I'm so excited. Little things that you should know though, parking is limited to 3-4 stalls. So if you plan on bringing your bridesmaids, I suggest carpooling. They helped me to select the perfect veil and accessories. At one fitting, Gladys even took the time to pin my hair into a quick updo to get the full picture of myself as a bride. Dream Dress Journey I wanted something classic, simple but elegant. I remember trying on a dozen dresses, stopping at two locations, with only two months to spare, & I couldn't really find anything, honestly shopping for my dress was extremely stressful. Just a note this is my experience back from October 2009. Casablanca is the first and only wedding dress shop I went to. I was picking up my mom from work and she asked me when I was going to try on wedding dresses. At this point in my life, I was the first one in my group of friends to be getting married. To be honest I didn't really know what kind of dress I wanted. But I've passed by Casablanca so many times, and my mom insisted we just stop in for a peek. We decided to pull in, not knowing it was by appointment only. It also looked like they were closing up for the day. Instead of turning us away Gladys (I think she's the owner)said we could come in. That alone sold me. We walked in and the place is gorgeous, huge chandelier and beautiful staircase heading up to the second floor. Gladys takes us up the stairs, looks at me, and say she's has the perfect dress. Mind you, both my mom and I had just gotten done with work, so we weren't looking our best. She had me sit down, did my hair in a quick updo and brought out this gorgeous dress. I put it on and oh it took my breath away. As I was trying looking at myself in the mirror I realized I was keeping them past closing. So told Gladys that it would probably be better if we made an appointment. I was back the week after with my sisters and my mom and I was the only bride trying on dresses that day and it was great experience. I didn't get the first dress I tried on but it was still so hard to choose. Their collection they stock are amazing. When I ordered the dress they had to rush it. I was told because the dresses are made to order and that specific dress I ordered was being made in Spain it usually takes 6 months to arrive from the time of order. My wedding was just under 6 months away ‍. They took my measurements and sent it in. Fast forward 5 months and I get the call that my dress came in. I've been to 3 bridal gown stores so far and this place has the most inventory so far that I've seen and that has my size to try on! It's never fun trying to look for the gown of your dreams and only finding a few choices because they don't have your size in their show room. The staff was very friendly and knew exactly which dresses to pick for me. I've tried on probably about 15 dresses today and almost all of them looked amazing on me. Shopping here was one of the most enjoyable parts of my whole wedding experience! Amazing service from start to finish that was all about ME, since they essentially do one appt at a time (not true of other stores I visited). Their dresses are gorgeous, plus you know they're quality when you feel them (I'm big on the texture of clothes). Rowena helped me find my perfect dress, but what's noteworthy is that my fiancé and I unexpectedly MOVED to San Francisco a few months before the wedding (the wedding was still in Waikiki) -- and the whole Casablanca team did an amazing job getting my alterations done in just a few days! I felt like part of their family. They chatted with me about coordinating my jewelry and hair-piece. They had me practice walking around their boutique on the carpet so I wouldn't trip down the aisle. They recommended angles the photographer should photograph the dress. They talked my squad through getting my very beautiful (and VERY POOFY) dress safely transported back to Waikiki. In summary: You should really, really get your dress from Casablanca! read more

I haven't had my wedding yet, but I purchased my dress from Rowena, Gladys, and Sonia over a year ago. We're in the fitting stages now and they have paid attention to my every need. They are patient and accommodating. What I love the most about Casablanca is the time they spend with you during your appointment. They take one and, on rare occasions two clients per appointment period. It's a stress free and beautiful environment! When I tried on my dress during the hunt, Rowena did my hair up and threw a veil on me. I went to 3 other dress shops and I stopped at Casablanca! Prices are a bit higher than some other shops around town, but you get what you pay for!!! I'd like to mention that although I did not get my wedding dress from Casablanca, I was thoroughly impressed with the level of customer service I received at their boutique. Casablanca has some of the most beautiful styles and designer names on the rack. And even though it was a bit higher than my price point, it's still worth a look. I was completely new to the dress process. I didn't have an appointment nor did I call ahead of time. I went on my own just to dabble my feet in the wedding tide pool. I was greeted by Rowena, who has worked at Casablanca for years helping women find their perfect gown. She was extremely encouraging and supportive of me, never once giving me the impression that I was going into her time for the next appointment. Her assistant Jerrica was also very helpful and would aid in getting me in and out of my dresses. I must have tried on about four or five dresses and was being waited on hand and foot by both of them with the utmost care and attentiveness. Rowena listened very carefully to things that I liked and didn't like about the styles, and was very perceptive to my needs. When we found a style that I took to, she even went above and beyond by styling my hair and creating the "package look" of the veil and headband all within five minutes! When I looked at the floor-to-ceiling mirror, I was blown away and it was the first time it hit me, "OH MY GOODNESS...I AM GETTING MARRIED!" We all chuckled as they probably saw the "Eureka!" moment in my eyes. It was definitely imprinted in my mind how much these two made a positive impression on me. Not only were they supportive during my most vulnerable moment as a new bride-to-be, but their thoughtfulness and professionalism made an impact that made me so grateful to have walked through those gold accent doors. read more

The experience was great and nice during an otherwise stressful event planning period. After making an appointment with them, you can try on a wide variety of dresses till you find the one. They have a large variety of dresses, and, if you have no idea what you want going in (like me), they have a lot of books of dresses to flip through to get an idea of what you do/don't like, and the employees there are also there and great at helping you narrow it down. For me, I went from a bride skeptical of finding a dress knowing only what I disliked, to finding the dress that made me smile and a bit more excited for the big day. Casablanca also takes care of fitting and alterations, and work with you to make your dream dress. You can also buy accessories, from veils, crowns, lace vests and more. They remind you of your fitting appointments, and to bring our shoes and undergarments before your fitting. Once the dress is good to go, you can arrange for a pick up, and they'll steam the dress before you get it. Service is also great. Rowena and staff were sooo helpful in me picking my dress. I had a style and look in mind but couldn't find one that I wanted. Rowena suggested I try on a certain dress and when I first saw it, i was very hesitant. It was opposite of what I wanted but when I tried it on and looked in the mirror I was surprised that I liked it so much. It was unlike any other dress that I have seThey have a great eye and they definitely know what looks good on certain body types. I had my wedding on Maui so they were able to get everything and packaged nicely for me to take onto the plane. They were super helpful in my fittings and even were able to expedite everything so I could have it in time for my wedding. I love Casablanca. I bought my wedding dress and bridesmaids' dresses here and I couldn't be happier with our choice. Casablanca was the first bridal shop I visited and I was lucky enough to find my dress on my first visit. Actually it was the 2nd dress I tried on. My bridesmaids were also able to find their dress very easily . There's just something special about this place. The shop is also very beautiful and clean, and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. It's the kind of experience that every bride should have. They're like the "Kleinfeld" of Hawaii. Previously, I was going to go to a different bridal shop because of a particular designer they carry, but I didn't even bother going in the shop once I saw how old and dingy it looked from the window. There was also a scruffy looking dog laying all over the dresses. I won't mention the name of the shop but it wasn't even worth a visit IMHO. The staff at Casablanca are also very warm and sweet. I had made a number of visits and was actually sad when I finally picked up my dress because I knew it would be my last visit there. The owners and dress consultants treat you as if you're a good friend. We also got some great deals. Since I came in during the Bridal Expo time, I was able to get the bridal expo deal which was $150 off towards a veil and $100 off for jewelry. I picked a beautiful cathedral-length veil and I was able to get a crystal bracelet thrown in. Alterations for our dresses were also easy and came out perfect. read more

I loved the whole experience at Casablanca. From the first day that I went to the store to check out their dresses, they really help you envision how you'll look on your wedding day by putting up your hair, recommending accessories, and more! I only tried on 3 dresses there. It was a very simple process-- I kind of explained what I was looking for and Rowena would search for a gown that matched my description. It was stress free not having to go through racks of dresses myself. I was so happy when I found my gown. Rowena was very thorough and explained the entire timeline on when I should receive the dress, and how soon I should start doing my fittings. I thought it was also really nice that when the dress arrived, they gave me a courtesy call and were more than happy to let me go in and try it on again since it was about 3 months since I last saw the dress. After that, they were continued to help me throughout the fittings and even worked with me through stressful times when I thought the dress wouldn't fit! They were always so encouraging and tried to take off any worries and stress and ensuring me that they could always alter the dress to make it work. In the end, the dress fit perfectly and it was such a pleasure to work with the team at Casablanca! I truly felt like a valued customer there. read more
