I appreciated that she encouraged both my guest and me to pull dresses that caught our eye, while also selecting additional gowns based on what she was learning about my style. It felt very collaborative, personalized, and pressure-free. The entire experience was wonderful, and I felt genuinely well taken care of throughout the appointment. Another huge plus is that they offer dress rentals, which is a fantastic budget-friendly option for brides. 10/10 experience--highly recommend to any bride looking for a fun, comfortable, and supportive dress-shopping experience!

My experience with Masako Bridal was smooth sailing from first try on, thru fitting/alterations to…read moredress pick up. Olivia and Rachel helped me thru the process. It took total of 5 appointments and dress pick up. Initially I liked both Jenny Yoo Martina dress ( simple, elegant style) and then Lillian West dress ( Boho floral lace style) that Rachel brought out to try on last. But for 2nd try on appointment, Jenny Yoo dress I liked was sold before I could try it on again. Their summer sale event ( all dresses discontinued from their racks on sale, so they can make room for new dress inventory) was going to occur the following week. I knew at that moment that I needed to select Lillian West dress, as my other option since there was no other dress from racks I wanted to try on from inital appointment and this appointment. The style I liked was A line, v neck with nice dress train and not too gothic, over bling out. With that summer sale, they cannot hold inventory for customers as it first come, first served when the shop opens. I selected that Lillian west dress before it sells off the racks. Rachel honored, gave me the sale price $500 with tax. With the alterations too, cost for the dress was over $1600 with total price of just under $1,000 for both dress, dress bag and alterations together. What a steal compared to show" Say yes to the dress", all the dresses at Kleinfield cost way more and other dress shops on the island. With the fittings, seeing both the dress with wedding veil I bought from Etsy seller along with the pearl drop earrings from Amazon, image of me as bride was stunning and made me feel like I'm ready to say I do. Masako held onto the dress until day before my December wedding as I was nervous if my cats destroy my dress happiness. I got many compliments from friends, family and my husband's co-workers who thought that dress was beautiful along with make up, hair style I had done. Very glad I went with Masako and genuinely recommend to future and engaged gals to come here if you are budget friendly shopper as the managers will work with your budget and provide recommendations. Please make an appointment online as they are appointment only, no walk in are allowed. Parking is at Whole Foods parking lot and walk over. But if you are picking up dress or having it cleaned/preserved, you are allowed to park in their assigned stalls, that way you do not carry that heavy thing across the street.

Located on the corner of King Street and Smith Street, I parked in a loading zone which is free after 4pm. Inside, the store is filled with many gowns and even tuxedos! The variety colors and styles is overwhelming. I saw the arrows on the ground which help customers because a person could get lost in there! Service was friendly in the beginning, but cooled off in the end when I didn't like the dress that was suggested to me. I went in the dressing room, but didn't need help with the zipper. I did pull the straps shorter for a better fit, but tailoring the dress would be too much. If you need a wedding gown, suit, or prom dress, take a look here! Made an appt for the next available Saturday which was 3 weeks away. My wedding is 10 months away, so I knew I had to give enough time for shipping. If all goes well, the dress will be arriving 4 months to the wedding, to which we have ample time for dress fitting. There are 2 main waiting areas at Casablanca, downstairs and upstairs. We waited downstairs until the previous party was completed with their appt, to which we then moved upstairs. I showed Rowena pictures, she pulled a 3 options out. I already knew I didn't like the way some of them looked, she then pulled out 3 more. Then I tried them on. By that point, I already narrowed it down to that 2nd set of 3, Rowena had picked out. Came back the next day with my mom and sister for final approvals. Paid for and ordered a dress that Sunday. The process for trying on dresses was seamless and painless, thanks to Rowena. She truly is amazing at her job and makes you feel so comfortable. As for parking, there are a few stalls in their garage, or you can pull up on the grass up front if your car can go off-roading a little bit. There's also street parking nearby, but definitely carpool if you got several people coming by with you.

They were totally non-judgemental and made me feel beautiful no matter what dress I tried on. I ended up going with a fitted mermaid style dress that was not what I expected- I originally wanted an a-line dress but somehow I fell in love with a totally different dress style. The dress was about 1-2 sizes too small, so we ordered the dress in one size up per the owner and 6 months later, my dress came in. Now, the only thing they didn't do was measure me at my first appointment, so unfortunately when the dress came in, it didn't fit me perfectly. It was definitely too tight on my arms and my chest area. They did say they could take out the dress and make alterations, but my mom felt that there wasn't enough room to let it out. They ended up calling the owner, who allowed me to look at a few new dresses that just came in while she checked if they could order my dress in another size up. Mind you, this was 3 months away from my wedding date, so I was really nervous that it wouldn't come in on time. I ended up trying on another dress closer to my original vision, a-line, long sleeve, and totally beautiful. Now this new dress was 2 sizes too big, but because of the original dress mishap, they said they would provide alterations for free! I was stunned by their kindness and their need to make what happened right. So now, 3 months before my wedding, I now had a new dress, and they were able to alter it to fit me perfectly. And listen, their tailor is literally amazing- so don't doubt the power of a great tailor, because the dress literally felt made for me after being way too big. To wrap it up, on my wedding day, my wedding coordinator did not know/could not zip up my dress. I'm going to skip all of the crash out moments (lol), but long story short, we called Casablanca, and they a) tried to explain it over the phone, then b) facetimed us to try and show how to get the dress to zip up, and when that didn't work, they literally drove down to my wedding venue and helped me into my dress. When I tell you these ladies are angels, I MEAN IT. I could not believe how much they were willing to do to make sure I was able to wear my incredibly beautiful dress. THANK YOU Casablanca!!! I cannot recommend them enough. You all are amazing and helped me feel "like a million bucks"!

Be met with blatant eye-rolls, heavy sighs, and passive-aggressive comments! There is a huge difference between being busy and being outright rude! Some staff have ZERO basic respect or courtesy for the people shopping here. It's a shame because the location is great, but the hostile, miserable attitude of the staff COMPLETELY ruins the experience. Management desperately needs to step in and address their teams on fundamental customer service OR at the very least....BASIC HUMAN DECENCY. As a sales person, selling wedding dresses for the most important day in someone's life, you should be smiling and happy and making them feel beautiful. My stomach is in knots for the service we received. I hope she is better with other brides. Do not go here.

I would caution other brides. I have mixed feelings about this place because they were both helpful and pushy at the same time. I was here about 5 months before my wedding. I had no idea what I wanted and made it VERY clear that I JUST wanted to try on different styles to see what suited me. The main woman who helped me was VERY hard to understand. I could get bits and pieces of what she was saying, but over all everything she said to be was in a big jumble and I just nodded along. Next she asked what was looking for. I explained that I wasn't sure, just trying on. That's when I told her that my wedding was in 5 months. Then she launched into a loooong conversation that I could partially understand, the main gist was that 5 months was not a long time and if I wanted to order a dress it would NEED to be that day. I told her I was just trying on. THEN the topic of price came up. She asked what my budget was and I told her I did not know because, again, I WAS JUST TRYING ON. And that's where she stopped me and again a VERY long conversation that I could partially understand. But from the bits and pieces that I could understand, she basically said that having a budget is very important. If I only have a small budget and she has me try on a dress that is more than my budget then we are both at a loss because I wouldn't not be able to afford the dress I want. Here is where I was absolutely dumbfounded. She said she would not allow me to try on ANY dresses unless I gave her a budget. Then she stood there and looked at me, after I realized she was serious I said okay and said $500. THEN SHE PROCEEDED TO SAY "I'll bring out a $500 dress, then a $1000, then a $5000. So that you can see the difference. Okay? Let's get started" Why would you make me give you a budget if you weren't going to honor it anyway? The dresses were beautiful and I was able to have 3 of my bridesmaids watch me try them on which was nice. I tried on 5 different dresses that were all in the style that I had asked for. But then I asked to try on something that was completely different from what I had been trying on and they completely ignored my request. The lady said that I have been trying on the same style that I seemed to like so what was the point in changing? Overall my experience was confusing. But i do know that I would not go back there or recommend it to anyone that was like me and had no idea where to start. For any girl hoping to have a good time dress shopping for prom, this is not the store for you. I am EXTREMELY UPSET and TOTALLY REGRET shopping at this store! I came to Vows hoping to find the best dress and to have a good time dress shopping, instead I found myself IN TEARS AS I LEFT THE STORE! During my fitting, the dress fitter was telling me how my body was the reason for the problems with the dress. Who does that to a custormer?! Who says that to anyone?! Oh, and to add to that, I even paid for the dress already, and now she says my body makes the dress look imperfect! The fitter even dared to ADD EXTRA CHARGES on my alteration fee after such a horrible experience. IT'S LIKE YOU PAY TO HEAR SOMEONE SAY HOW YOU AND YOUR BODY MAKES THE DRESS LOOK BAD! No only that, but I ALMOST DID NOT GET MY DRESS. On the day I scheduled to alternate my dress, I found out they had closed earlier... when I got there in person. THEY DO NOT BOTHER TO CALL YOU EVEN THOUGH THEIR HOURS CHANGED. I was left feeling so scared that I would not get to alter my dress, which needed lots of altering. On the day I scheduled to pick up my dress, they suddenly said there was an emergency and tried to change my day of pick up to the day before and even the day of my senior prom! The store staff has HORRIBLE ATTITUDE. The store owner and dress fitter is EXTREMELY RUDE. They CHANGE STORE HOURS AT RANDOM. They DO NOT CALL YOU ABOUT ANY STORE HOUR CHANGES. PRICE - EXPENSIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE - HORRIBLE I would not recommend this store to anyone who cannot fit every dress they try on perfectly. I came to this store hoping to help my daughter find her perfect dress for prom. Instead I found how RUDE and HORRIBLE this store is. If you need alterations (which most of the dresses at this store needs), BE PREPARED TO ARGUE WITH STORE OWNER AND DRESS FITTER. You: "There's a mistake here." Dress fitter: "You're just looking for a mistake, if you stop looking for mistakes, there's nothing wrong with it." The dress fitter will even play the "I-have-more-experience" card and make you feel like you have no right to point out problems with the dress (even the obvious problems. For my daughter's prom dress, there was an obvious stain, and the fitter still said there was nothing there and that I was just making it up!) The dress fitter even BLAMES PROBLEMS WITH THE DRESS ON YOUR BODY! This store requires you to pay in full and there is no refund for the dress. However, after paying for the dress, I quickly realized that I had come to the WRONG PLACE FOR DRESSES. This store make you regret spending your money (I spent over $300 for my daughter's dress and was terribly upset and regret spend this much money at this HORRIBLE STORE.) If you are looking for a cheap dress, this is not the store for you (actually it's not the store for anyone looking for any dress). I went to a few shops before going to vows but vows is the only one I returned to. Honestly I saw really beautiful dresses at the other shops but the reason I returned to vows is because she actually cares about her clients. She is a seamstress not a sales person. Even if I found something from somewhere else I will buy my dress from her. I'll show her a picture of things I liked and she will find something similar and give me honest feedback of what looks good on me and show me how to make it look better and wow she was right every time. I'm pretty thin so I thought I would match better with a mermaid style looking dress but she made me open to trying everything and I ended up going to totally different direction with something more romantic princess looking which I thought I would never like. Now I believe people looking for a wedding dress should come with an open mind and find a seamstress not a sales person. The other places I went to before her just showed me different variations of what I had in mind and told me I looked great in all of them. She was always honest with me when she thought I could look better and wow she was right. I went to see her yesterday and found a dress that I really liked and told her I wanted to buy it and she told me to think about it first and if I can't stop thinking about it it's the one for me. I had no idea what I was looking for when I began searching for wedding dresses. I went to two other stores before ending up at Vows. The previous stores gave little help to me and I felt like finding a dress was going to be very difficult. The opposite scenario occurred at Vows. As soon as I walked in, an associate was happy to help me. And when she had to take care of a previous customer, I was then given to the store owner, Vicky. Wow was she a wealth of knowledge! You could tell that she really new her stuff and she was very willing to take the time out to help find the gown for my wedding. She asked me my price range and what I was looking for, then she proceeded to help pick out some dresses she thought I would like. I ended up finding my beautiful, stunning wedding dress and did not step foot into another store! Vicky took me in with no appointment and treated me like I was the only bride existing in the world. Poor customer service when I visited this shop for a wedding dress- I showed them a list of the dress characteristics I was looking for, but they didn't provide a single dress that matched any of my preferences. Now this new dress was 2 sizes too big, but because of the original dress mishap, they said they would provide alterations for free! I was stunned by their kindness and their need to make what happened right. So now, 3 months before my wedding, I now had a new dress, and they were able to alter it to fit me perfectly. And listen, their tailor is literally amazing- so don't doubt the power of a great tailor, because the dress literally felt made for me after being way too big. To wrap it up, on my wedding day, my wedding coordinator did not know/could not zip up my dress. I'm going to skip all of the crash out moments (lol), but long story short, we called Casablanca, and they a) tried to explain it over the phone, then b) facetimed us to try and show how to get the dress to zip up, and when that didn't work, they literally drove down to my wedding venue and helped me into my dress. When I tell you these ladies are angels, I MEAN IT. I could not believe how much they were willing to do to make sure I was able to wear my incredibly beautiful dress. THANK YOU Casablanca!!! I cannot recommend them enough. You all are amazing and helped me feel "like a million bucks"!

Before the appointment she was able to answer some questions about her desired wedding gown. May was a joy to work with. The appointment time was 90 minutes. We were told my sister could try on 4 dresses. She was actually able to try on closer to 6 dresses and also try on the dress she really liked. May was a complete delight and made the whole process stress free and fun. We were both offered water upon our arrival and escorted to the bridal suite. Parking is easy, just park in Hokua, they validate. The space is beautiful and clean. They adhered to Covid-19 precautions. My sister rated her favorite dress a 9/10! I searched high and low and asked employees at Nordstrom Rack in Kakaako, Nordstrom in Ala Moana, Macy's in Ala Moana and Pearlridge, Uniqlo in Ala Moana, Zara in Ala Moana, Saks Off 5th, Old Navy, Banana Republic in Waikele, Ross Dress for Less in Kahala with zero results. These are my reasons that I prefer to shop for gowns in person. Petite size needs some type of alteration(s) with common areas of adjustments in the length, shoulders, and so forth. She helped me select a few formal gowns while keeping in mind type of event and color(s). There's only one gown I found appealing that's befitting for my role. It was 50% off plus $9 extra off regular price. All sales and discounts final.

The reason that I went into her boutique was because I needed some alterations done on two pieces that I wanted to wear for a special occasion during an upcoming Thanksgiving trip to the Mainland. Anne Namba's designs draws me in because I feel that I can "relate" to the styles. The way the garments are cut gives me a feeling of simple contemporary elegance. I'm not tall nor thin nor young in age but her styles can be tailored to fit (ALL women) so I've not felt intimidated into thinking that I should look like a model. Even the vintage fabrics are meticulously put together that you can accessorize to dress up or down. There's a line of EuroAsian-inspired printed silk if you're not into vintage kimono or obi based clothes. The clothing here can be custom designed or fitted for men and women. Before stepping foot into the boutique, I called and spoke to one of Anne's staff, Mary. I wanted to make sure that I could just drop by to get my silk duster fit and to replace the elastic in a pair of silk pants. Her voice effused friendliness and warmth over the phone. I brought in my pieces, she fit (measured) my garment, gave me an estimate for alteration and said their seamstresses would do their best to get the items done within 7 days. I asked her for home silk care and cleaning tips as I had a garment that had been badly "age or rust" spotted. While waiting for the alterations, I tried Mary's recommendations. Within minutes, my damaged garment was sparkling clean! Oh boy, I just had to tell Mary about the success of her tip! To my surprise, my alterations were completed within 4 days (including a weekend) so at first chance, I rushed back to the boutique. We chatted for a few minutes and I got a couple of more tips from her. My eyes danced with glee just looking around at all the new styles, fabrics and colors. I even zeroed in on an outfit that I'd love to have but, my retired person conscious got the better of me. I would encourage men and women of all ages to visit this boutique...you will be amazed by the quality, beauty and wearability of the garments. You'll support a local designer whose one-of-a-kind designs are classic and timeless. You'll also be treated to personable, non-intimidating, knowledgeable and helpful staff...Mary, this is about YOU.
