This is our go-to spot whenever we're in the area! I honestly don't think we've ever had a bad experience or any complaints here. We love the character and charm of both the outside and inside of the restaurant. We usually try to get there right when they open to beat the crowd. I had the grilled teriyaki salmon salad, and I have to say -- it was one of the best salads I've had in a long time. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a slightly crispy outside, exactly how I like it. I requested the sauces on the side, and they complemented the dish without being overpowering. My daughter had the grilled cheese with sweet potato fries. She compared the grilled cheese to Starbucks' grilled cheese, which is a huge compliment coming from her -- definitely two thumbs up! My husband ordered the BBQ tri-tip and had zero complaints there as well. Overall, it's a great place to eat with delicious food, welcoming customer service, and a really great ambiance. Standard pour was are go too Tuesday night Taco fest.Great chicken tacos beer and wine.We had a great relationship with the bartender. We went Friday night for a birthday party and got our own room and the waitress was awesome. Unfortunately the food was horrible. Fish and chips black, tots dry, burger bun dry and crumbling.Not as we remembered. Before checking in at our Airbnb, we decided to have lunch first. After exploring Downtown Sonora and discovering it wasn't quite what we hoped for, I was relieved we'd chosen a restaurant farther away. The building itself is lovely, set in the historic Pickering Lumber office built in 1924. Since it was a weekday, the atmosphere was calm and there were plenty of seats available. Everything we tried was delicious. My daughter, who is obsessed with bacon-wrapped dates, spotted them on the specials menu and insisted we order them. Thankfully, they didn't disappoint--the sweet dates were wrapped in perfectly crisp, salty bacon. I wondered if there was an extra ingredient inside the dates, or if their sweetness was all natural--either way, they were outstanding! My man and his daughter split a burger and fries, which they both enjoyed. Planning to share with my own daughter, I asked the server how many toasts came with the avocado toast. She replied, "One." Expecting a small portion, I also ordered a beet salad with goat cheese, tomatoes, and pistachios - so flavorful! When my daughter's avocado toast arrived, it was so large it had to be cut in half. The toast was generously topped with avocado slices and various drizzles, making it look almost extravagant. She couldn't finish it but said it was tasty. Hopefully they will be able to tell me what it is so I can request the chef to leave it off.. the blt.. and fried sprouts were very good. Likely won't be coming back. UPDATE TO THE OWNERS: I appreciate your initial response to my review. This was a clear double lapse of judgement on two of your employees part and nothing to do with group size or reservations or anything else that could have been justified. We were passed over and after talking to one individual who seemed in charge we realized that she had no say in the management of the cue. We then found a second employee who was managing the cue but didn't ask if we were there prior. Both employees failed to respond to the situation and put us at the bottom of the list. I definitely won't be coming back regardless of what you say in your retort. It was insulting to us to be treated so rudely. Your team left a stain and we felt mistreated without concern for our feelings or situation. One of the worst feelings I have ever experienced in all my years of dinner waiting situations. read more

One of the best restaurants in town by far! I've had just about everything on their menu but tonight I decided to go with their Standard Burger with Garlic Fries and their Homemade Ranch (best ranch EVER) their Fried Cod Tacos, and of course their Strawberry Glaze Cheesecake because how could you not here! So yummy my burger was good medium to perfection and the bacon was cooked crispy & tasty! The service was wonderful per usual our server was an absolute doll, her name was Jewel she was busy but still SO nice and on top of it, always checking on us to see if we needed refills and everything and even gave me a Dr Pepper to go! Love her!!! The vibe here is always good. It's chill yet somewhere you can come to relax, a lot of people will watch the game in the bar area we happened to come before it got crazy busy but even when it is, you're ALWAYS well taken care of here!! We are just settling into our new life in Sonora and I suggested we go here for a quick lunch. My husband had the standard burger (he's a plain Jane kinda guy, just cares about the quality of the burger) and I'm more adventurous.... But nonetheless, our server Rochelle took perfect care of us! She had good suggestions, was attentive (refilled my glass without me having to flag anyone down) and also very friendly with all the other guests. I always watch :) she is great. The Standard Pour is the BEST restaurant in the Sonora area! The Food is off the charts. The Service is Amazing. The cooks get the food up and out hot and the way you wanted it. We have been here multiple times and they are consistent with everything no matter time of day or day of the week ! Season has even catered our event for us. This place was recommend by a shop owner in Twain Harte and since we were on vacation we decided to check it out. It's a pretty cool building that used to be industrial, so it has some real hipster ambiance. However, the service is friendly and the beer is pretty well priced. They let you choose between a pint or 20oz and the prices for their 20oz beers are sometimes less than what other places charge for a pint. We had a few beers, some good conversation, and then went shopping in Sonora. Lovely afternoon and this place helped. read more

We went for lunch with our daughter and son in law yesterday and were very happy with our experience. Great beer selection on tap and a really good wine selection as well. Food was delish. We started with the Brussels Sprouts and the Barbacoa fries. Brussels were good but the Barbacoa fries were killer! The meat was tender and juicy and the flavor was outstanding! I got the sharp cheddar grilled cheese with pesto and bacon with a side salad. The sandwich was so good! And it was a good portion size! Our waitress was super accommodating and sweet! She helped us with food and beverage selections and was very pleasant and punctual with food delivery. The inside of the restaurant was really cool! Burger will set you back $18 but the plates are large and the quality is very good. Nice atmosphere, lots of space. Loved everything about this place! Looks like it was an old bank building, so there's a nice open layout including a bar area with high top tables, as well as seating dining. The menu offers a great variety with options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. We got the brussel sprouts appetizer (ordered without bacon and they were still crispy with a nice light dressing) and I got the portobello mushroom burger on a brioche bun and sweet potato fries (are you drooling yet?) The portions were generous and the food was superb. To top it off, our server was very friendly and attentive. It's pretty at Christmas time with lights, decorations and a tree. High ceilings, lots of wood, not too loud- has charming rooms, separate bar area and lovely windows. Filled up quickly on a Friday night... best to arrive a little early. Delays in getting food, it didn't come all at once. I like this restaurant. Although I decided to try the Carolina Reaper fries and I swear it was so spicy, I think they must have used Cayenne Pepper. I could barely eat it. I looked at the description and no where does it say that it's spicy. The description was different, although it did have fried chicken pieces and bacon I didn't see cheddar cheese but I saw Parmesan and there was some kind of white sauce on it.
