They are near it all downtown! Coffee and teas are the main attraction of course. I love their lattes year round, and in summer there are the beautiful velvet ices and iced coffees. I like to check out the rotating specials, which often are interesting and different. Last time I visited they were featuring honey lavender drinks, which make a most excellent velvet ice. They always have some nice baked goods on hand, from savory to sweet. There are also some other nice snacks on hand. My personal favorite is the dark chocolate covered espresso beans! The interior is cozy, and has a great view of the outdoors. There is a small courtyard outside with outdoor tables, but I think if one wants to be outdoors the Shaw Center Courtyard or Lafayette Park are the places to be.

They honed their craft in New Orleans and have managed to do the same here. Their New Orleans iced coffee was dark and potent, while their Japanese slow drip aka Oji drip iced coffee was pleasantly delightful. The cafe au lait is classic and a nice rendition compared to the many places that do the same throughout the state. The macchiato, cappuccinos, and americanos also deserve their own mention. Like any quality coffee place, they sell all kinds of different coffee brews by the bag both online and in store. They also sell food as well ranging from breakfast items to salads and sandwiches. Avocado toast seems to be a big hit here, but they have a wide range of open-faced toasts that includes smoked salmon, pimento and prosciutto. I am definitely eyeing their croissant sandwich for future visit. Prices are standard foodflation but I think the coffee and the ambiance will always be the central focus. The coffee, tea, and food choices are perfect. I grabbed an espresso shot and cinnamon roll to stay and an iced matcha latte to go. The espresso was nicely dialed in, the notes were present and the barista served it wonderfully. The cinnamon roll was warmed up and freshly iced before being served. I have hearing loss from how loud I like to listen to music however, not in a coffee shop full of other people who are also having to talk loud just to hear one another. However, for the atmosphere and size of the place I was expecting lofi, classical, instrumental or something else of that variety. I like the music they were playing, just not what was expected. The coffee was warm, not hot. The coffee was also not bold and I wouldn't have known they used beans from Reve Coffee Roasters. The coffee wasn't close to the coffee you can get at Reve Coffee Lab at Willow Grove. I am not sure if Le Reve uses a different roast or if it was the preparation. My Wife got a croissant, that she requested to be toasted/heated. When it arrived it had not been heated at all. Although, the flavor was good. I got a blueberry biscuit, which is not the same thing as their breakfast biscuits. This was more of a coffee cake style pastry. It was very good and I will definitely be back for it. We will give this place a second chance. I get it was opening weekend and some kinks may need to be worked out. However, next time if the coffee isn't hot, doesn't taste nearly as good as other local spots and the order isn't correct then we may stick to the other places we frequent.
