This place is awesome!!! The service is always fantastic and the food is always fresh and delicious. The ceviche with mayo is absolutely fire. They have all sorts of beers and other drinks to enjoy while either stopping by for a quick lunch or a gathering with friends and family. Great vibes

Super A's is a Mexican restaurant located in Costa Mesa with a large parking lot. It has Taco Tuesday which includes $1.99 tacos all day along with $2.50 beer and $5 margaritas. I got the asada fries ($15.95) and the carne asada burrito ($12.95). The fries had guac and sour cream on the side but the fries could've been crispier. They were pretty soggy which made it hard to pick them up especially with the melted cheese. The burrito had a little cheese and onions but was mostly meat. This means it was on the smaller side. Note that both of these dishes normally come with beans so if you don't want them in your meal you should ask to remove them. They provide chips and salsa if you dine in as well as when you get takeout. The food came out fast and they accept card.

This place is a homey local Mexican restaurant. It's a little rundown and the margaritas are weak. But happy hour drink specials make up for it. Get beer, it's not watered down. The winner here are their massive wet burritos available with a good selection of fillings and sauces. The rice and beans are supporting members not stars. Service was sweet and attentive. A decent place if you are in the area.

Super A's serves the absolute best Chilaquiles in town. Plus their shrimp cocktail is phenomenal. I love family owned businesses with great food and great service.

Amazing place. Seen it a thousand times but never thought of stopping by. Don't let the outside fool you. Food inside is delicious

    Menudo

If you are looking for Menudo this is 100% the place to be! Super A's only has Menudo available on Saturday and Sunday so plan accordingly. The Menudo portion is huge! You get a big bowl with all the fixings (dried chili, Mexican oregano, onions, lime, and cilantro) which is a must. The amount of meat is impressive. The bowl was filled with meat up until the very bottom so if you love tripe this is the one for you. The waitress told us it takes them almost a whole week to make this dish (from the cleaning, prep, and cooking of the soup). You can tell just by all this processing that it leads to the quality of the dish. Some places make shortcuts to making menudo which makes for a unclean tasting soup but this place preps it so well you do not get any of that. Whether you eat this for the cold weather or the day after a night of drinking, I highly recommend this place for their menudo alone!

The staff was kind and helpful and there appeared to be a lot of locals enjoying their meals out in their outdoor seating area. While the market had a bunch of fun fermented offerings, the food that I ordered from their cafe was not exactly what I expected. I ordered the chili and spicy kraut grilled cheese combo. The portions were on the smaller side but given it was lunch I didn't really mind. I was more let down by the lack of flavor in their grilled cheese, the spicy kraut was neither spicy and just didn't really add much aside from texture. The chili on the other hand was delicious so that partially redeemed the meal for me. My boyfriend got their bone broth which was very very light and needed additional seasoning though. While I love what they're trying to build here, I'm not sure if I'd go back.

Honestly wish we had more of them, to be honest! The menu was short, which was helpful in its own way. I have such chronic decision paralysis, meaning the more options I have, the more ordering conflicts I'll have, lol. Forever petitioning for every establishment to have tasting flights!!!! We ordered the Grilled Octopus Al Pastor and Ora King Salmon entrees. The octopus was a unique take on the dish, but I don't think I would order it again. Very decadent and kinda had a nice tiramisu taste to it -- order this! The service was excellent and very attentive. Was very hydrated during this meal because my water cup was never empty! Now that I've tried the food, felt the service, and enjoyed our meal, I can see why it has a line and a high star rating! The service: super friends and accommodating! The place itself is a small/medium size with lots of tables for seating multiple small/medium sizes of parties. We were a party of 5 (4 adults, one baby/toddler with a high chair). I loved how they accommodated my child with their children's menu in addition to providing us with scissors to cut up noodles. Upon stating our allergies, they helped us with food suggestions and limitations. It's honestly the little things that go above and beyond, as well as their friendly service. They weren't overtly checking up on us, and had just the right amount of interaction and help. Food: 3 of us got the beef belly pho and one got the beef rib, my son got a kids mean. Upon receiving our bowls you'd think by looking at the clarity of the broth that it wouldn't be super flavorful, but it absolutely was. It's not overpowering, but the right amount of savory with a hint of sweetness from the added o green onions. Each pho came with the garnishes of basil, lime, and bean sprouts as normal. We did have to ask for small side plates For those who wanted hoisin and sriracha on the side, but not a big deal and quick to get. I'm also a huge fan of the lychee lemonade at vox, which they had here. Not refillable, but still loved it! My son got their chicken nuggets with fries since the pho broth had some sesame oil which he's allergic to, but he loved it. It came in the cutest kid "happy meal" type of box and we used the scissors given to cut the nuggets and a few "washed" noodles. Overall, would love to come again for a great bowl of pho if the wait isn't too long!

The person taking our order was patient with us as we ordered even as we were dealing with our toddler. Our requests were accommodated respectfully and to the best they could! Upon first glance, the gyoza looked good, like it was a family recipe and made from scratch! The spicy garlic ramen had thick, and a tasty looking broth and the portion sizes for the ramen looked like decent enough for the price. The taste for the gyoza was good, but the spicy black garlic ramen definitely stole the show!
