I decided to have overhead storage installed in my garage as opposed to building another shed in my backyard. It's made from steel enamel coated brackets that hang from the ceiling, all attached to studs. I originally planned on just getting a 4x8 unit but ended up creating a L shape and utilizing unused space and ended up with a 4x6 & 4 x8 unit. Looks amazing and can hold up to 1000 lbs. My garage was looking very dismal with boxes piled along the wall, I figured that it was time to get them up overhead and free up a parking space. Based on the reviews on Yelp, I went ahead and called CDR. Tim was running late from his previous install, but he gave me a call in advance to let me know, which was very appreciated. This showed me that he cared about my time. The actual install took about 40 minutes. The rack itself is very solid and seems like it will hold up for years to come. ***Not Reliable Service*** This review is more about their customer service than the product. I wanted to put two 8x4 shelves in my garage. Because of the many great reviews on Yelp, I called Tim and scheduled a date for installation. Then I got noticed that my city was closing my neighborhood to repave the streets. I called Tim and he told me he'll try later when the my streets reopened. I got a call from Tim at 5pm telling me it's late and he'll call me to reschedule. No call for one week. Finally, I called and left a message and email for him. He told me he was out of the country due to family emergency and will call me. Again, no call. I, again, called Tim and was scheduled to have him come today, August 6 at 3pm. I even turned down overtime at work to meet Tim at 3pm. No call, no show. It seems like they don't want to do any business and the customer has to chase them down instead of the other way around. If that's how they treat prospective customers, I hate to have them deal with any future issues ***I went with SafeRacks**** made the appointment on Thursday and had it installed Monday. CDR (Tim and Charlie) was my choice because of the excellent yelp reviews and when they showed up they lived up to their expectations. They were very professional and creative. The only disappointment was they showed up about 2 hours later than scheduled, I realize that it was the first day back from long weekend perhaps traffic was horrible. I've been wanting to see if I can add anymore storage to the house and this seemed to be a possible solution. The first call, my mom made the guy seemed to be fairly busy at that moment and told her, he'll call back shortly. And surprisingly, he actually called about an hr later and we set up an free estimate appointment about a week and half later. The estimate window was between 9am-11am and the day of the estimate, he came in shortly after 9am. Upon inspection of our garage, he was very honest and said that the racking while he could install it, would be roughly a foot in clearance for any boxes in the rack and that at the ends it would be slightly smaller than that due to the construction of the garage. I asked, if he sold that many racks of that size and he said no and that it was my decision and there wasn't any pressure and being honest and open was the company's thing. I very much appreciated the honesty and I told him it just didn't feel right at this time. Maybe when I more file boxes to put any in storage, I may change my mind. Overall, the technician was extremely friendly, honest and patient when he came in and answered my questions. Thanks again Tim. So far we have just put a bunch of boxes and various things on the racks but I plan on slowly emptying some old boxes and moving it again. I ended up getting 3 racks to pretty much utilize all the 7 feet and above space available in my garage. Very awesome and extremely high quality materials. Worth every penny. There was a total of (3) 8ft pieces and (1) 3ft piece able to fit. So much better having the stuff above instead of along the walls on the ground.
