I had a rock wedged between my caliper and rotor causing an unbearable screeching noise. I a received a call just after lunch letting me know that a rock was the culprit and it was removed and ready for pick up. The mechanic also gave me a handful of other repairs to consider but delivered without pressure. I especially appreciated the bedside manner of all personnel as no tried to tell me that it was time to trade in 2013 S60 rdesign with Polestar at 83k miles as others service departments do. 5 star team. read more

Took my Volvo 240 here recently as it was driving pretty rough and it wasn't clear to me what part was the culprit. Car is now running 100 times better. Revising review and rating after learning they performed the tire rotation and did not notice / notify me of two tires with dangerous wear conditions on two tires. (Worn to cords showing). Potentially life threatening. Friendly adviser with detailed knowledge about a service I was thinking of adding. All promises kept. Fair price. Returned as I left it. (clean) It's reassuring to see all the other Volvo's around their lot. Assures me they probably know which wrench to grab by instinct. The only shop I can trust with my car now. My experience with them started about a year ago when I took my car in for some noise while braking. The shop took a look at the brakes, and while they had every opportunity to sell me on new brakes and rotors, they didn't. It turned out that my brake pads (put on by a shop while I was living in NY) were not a complimentary material to the rotors, making some noise while braking. Ever since I have taken my car to Scott and his guys at Cech Brothers. Scott is honest and will take the time to explain what the issue rather than throwing a quote in your face. His prices are fair (I've always compared for my own peace of mind), and was timely to a warranty repair based on a part his team installed just a few weeks prior. The waiting area is nice and clean, clean bathroom, and large TV, most often playing ESPN. All of my repairs done while waiting have consistently been complete between 1/2 to 3/4 the amount of time he has told me it will take. For as long as I am in Central Florida, I will be going to these guys for all of my car issues. Friends I have sent here have had nothing but good things to say. read more

I was on my way to the VA Hospital driving the 417 when all of a sudden my Volvo C30 flashed every panel light on the dash and smoke hurled out from under the hood! My radiator cracked at 156000 miles, no warning. I love this car, though most would buy a new car, I couldn't bear to bury it, so I called USAA and had it towed to Cech brothers. They called everywhere for another engine, a new one would cost me $6859.00, but Cech brothers found a decent one for $1500.00. Every part around this burned up engine was melted, and those mechanics had their work cut out for themselves, electric harness replacement etc. In 5 days they had my car engine replaced with a 5 year warranty on the parts, and it drives just like it did the day I bought it, off the showroom floor. For far less than the cost of a new engine alone, I had my car back for another 100,000 miles. Anytime I have ever taken my Volvo's to Cech brothers, they were able to give me heads up on any possible upcoming issues. My departure from having them look it over, due to my moving so far from Winter Park, cost me. I've been a customer of Cech Brothers for over ten years, and after today I'll not be going back. Years ago they were the best in town, and I had complete faith in their work and their honesty. Now they've gotten so big that they no longer care about quality or customer service. The last three times I've had my car in for service the problems haven't been fixed. This last time, not only was the car not fixed, but they had actually broken something else. I had to call it to their attention and have it repaired before I left the lot. Also, the past two times I've picked up my car there have been greasy fingerprints not only on the outside, but on my leather upholstery as well. I actually ruined the dress I was wearing because the armrest was covered in grease. I spent almost $1,500.00 there today, and certainly don't think it's too much to expect to not have to take my car in to be detailed because the mechanics can't be bothered to wipe their hands. Two years ago I was singing their praises and referring everyone I know to Cech Brothers. Now I'm telling them to avoid them like the plague. So sad. read more

I recently bought a used car here and had a really good experience. My son was looking for a specific car, and of the 4 we looked at the Cech Bros car was in the best shape and was very reasonably priced. And I definitely appreciated not having to pay a $700 "dealer's fee" or worry about getting ripped off on Craigslist. I have been taking my Volvo to Cech Brothers for over 5 years now and have not had any issues with their service. Just one time I had to go back when I let them re-surface my front light covers to make them clearer. The tint was still a little yellow, but they tried to fix it. I think I just need to buy new light covers, but at least they tried. I always go to get my oil changed there since they are the only place that seems to have my filter in stock. I'm pretty much in and out in 30 minutes without an appointment. Plus, they always recommend other services I may need and keep records of my previous services. Word count had to be shortened for this site. Other sites have full review. My family bought a used Volvo from Czech Brothers Volvo. The short story: we were scammed and sold a defective vehicle, for the long story read on. What enticed us to buy from Czech Brothers was that they specialized in Volvo, the car had new spark plugs and a brand new timing belt/water pump just put on and they had lower prices than we were seeing elsewhere. We were told the car they received the car thru a trade in and that they had made all of the necessary repairs. We learned the hard way that you get what you pay for OR WORSE. Hindsight is always 20/20 but on that day I must admit I realized the car was running a bit ruff and rumbling when sitting still but it went away once we were driving so I assumed it had sat for a bit and needed to warm up. I later learned the term is surging and it was improperly idling. It turns out that the mass air flow assembly was not working and causing the rough running engine. I will come back to this shortly. Later, I noticed a burning/engine running hot smell and the engine light came on. I lifted the hood to find NO oil in the car. I initially added a full 5 quart jug but found I had to continuously add oil to the car however I never saw any leaks under the car on my white driveway. Next, the car would barely run and kept cutting off. I took it to a highly recommended mechanic near my home. There they told me that the car had massive oil leaks and the leaking had caused further damage to the car. SURPRISE the spark plugs and timing belt among several other/connecting components required replacement due to oil damage. The spark plugs, wires, coils etc were ruined from the oil and that is why the car was sputtering and cutting off. Also, they said that the timing belt was saturated with oil and must be replaced. I said that this can't be, it had a new timing belt put on when I bought it. But the truth was still the truth, the timing belt was saturated with oil. The mechanic said that one of the MOST COMMON and MOST COSTLY repairs they see on Volvos is oil leaks. (It is costly because it is very labor intensive, there are several different seals the oil can leak from and for instance just one of many seals requires pulling out the transmission and other engine components taking 10 hours labor to replace) Then, there are the other oil seals too. But how can this be Czech Bros said they made all the necessary repairs... Or DID they?!?! When I called I tried to explain to Czech Brothers that I felt that they knowingly sold me a car with an expensive oil leak cover up. As I was explaining the situation the call disconnected or they hung up. You decide. I tried calling back but no one answered. Anyway, before the "disconnect" they said that the car could not have been leaking because they fixed all repairs. I ask that if that was the case then why didn't they replace the mass air flow assembly, which was broken at the time of sale. And why is it the exact items associated with maintenance and not repairs replaced prior to us purchasing the car. He said that they also completed all the scheduled maintenance for the cars current mileage. Do small car dealerships change out expensive timing belts prior to a sale if nothing is working improperly? I know not! If so, then why didn't they do other typical maintenance such as replace the transmission fluid, brake fluid, or do a radiator flush etc. The air filter was filthy dirty! That should have been the first thing for them to change. BUT ABOVE and BEYOND all THAT!! The timing belt replacement schedule is 10 YEARS OR 105,000 miles!!! Replacing the timing belt was NOT a part of the scheduled maintenance, It still had several years and thousands of miles to go for a scheduled timing belt replacement. FYI: I personally called and verified the schedule with the Volvo dealership. The "effort" or so called work that was done was not to make repairs nor to satisfy scheduled maintenance but to cover up a COSTLY and NECESSARY repair. The leaking oil caused MORE DAMAGE...and has KEPT CAUSING damage to the car. If we had known that the car needed repair (and continued with the purchase) we could have saved ourselves thousands of dollars in additional repairs from the further damage the oil caused. So far it has cost $$$$ in repairs and maybe still more untold damage. Otherwise, they did the paperwork quickly and efficiently for us to purchase the car. Once we decided to purchase we where in and out without delay. What does AS IS sale mean? There is no warranty but it does not mean that the seller can cover up required repairs. The seller, in this case a dealer and professional, meaning held to a higher standard, more than just withheld information that would have caused/allowed us (lay people, nonprofessionals, who rely on professional guidance) to reconsider the purchase of the vehicle......Concealing damages is entirely different than saying no known defect. read more
