Called on my way from work to the store. Was put on hold, and was left on hold the whole car ride there (10 minutes). Im thinking "Oh it's a Friday and the day before the 4th of July. They must be busy." Nope they weren't busy. Just a blond high schooler sitting behind the counter and said my pizza would be done in 10 minutes. I order here all the time with no issue. Last night I ordered pizza for my family. An hour after I ordered I called to check on status, I was put on hold for over 5 minutes. I called back, and was told "they were just going to call me". Turns out their driver/manager gave one of my pizzas to a different house. They said they'd remake the pizza and he'd bring the rest of the order though after he delivered what he still had. The driver arrived about 7 minutes later and apologized. I asked about some sort of refund, he said yeah and he'd be "right back" with the other pizza. He arrived AN HOUR LATER with the next pizza. I live about 8 minutes away from the store and it takes that long to cook a pie. What took so long? When he got there he apologized again and said I'd get a $20 credit on my NEXT order. What?! I waited two hours for my pizza and you can't give that one to me free, at the very least. On top of all of this the boneless wings I ordered weren't even cooked through. They tasted good but had a weird texture, I was starving so didn't think much of it. When I looked, all of the remaining 6 were undercooked significantly and I had to put the in the microwave for 45 seconds to finish the job. So I had to pay full price for salmonella and a two hour delivery! See the story below for the time I ordered before. Needless to say I won't be using the $20 credit. I also tried to order from them a few months ago. Delivery. Over an hour after I placed the order I called the store to see what the deal was. Delivery drivers car (who was a manager) had a flat tire that a coworker was changing it but they didn't know how long it would take. Apparently there was only one driver. Told them to cancel the order. I get things happen but call your customer, why did I have to call! read more

The food was great as always, pizza was fire and the mozzarella stix did not disappoint especially on the cheese pull however the sweet tea tasted a little funky. The server was okay, she did the bare minimum of her job so I can't really complain. Ambiance was okay as well not much to look at but usually you take pizza to go instead of sitting in the restaurant. Overall still my fav place to order pizza from! read more

This is the pinnacle of St. Louis style pizza, and it's not particularly close. Many will have you think that *a certain competitor with a larger geographical footprint that rhymes with Teemo's* is somehow in the conversation, but rest assured that people who think this are objectively and technically incorrect. As a matter of fact, when people say they don't like STL style pizza, they typically point the finger at said competitor, and there's a reason for that. Cecil Whittaker's has the best crunchy crust, semi-sweet sauce, gloriously melty provel cheese, variety of fresh toppings, and that magical seasoning. It's really just not fair how good this pizza is. For those curious how el presidente would rate this: 8.4, not his style, but elite nonetheless. As for this specific location/visit...amusingly my buddies and I stopped at the Wentzville location first only to find that it's a carry-out only store. No big deal, roll down to O-town at K & N for a sit down experience. The folks had 2 pies out in no time with the typical STL appetizer treats (toasted raviolis, fried shrooms, and that heavenly garlic cheese bread). One buddy loved the bacon/pepperoni offering while the other buddy was enamoured with the buffalo chicken pie. It's impossible to beat phenomenal pizza (at very reasonable prices btw) with great people and top notch service. Easily a 10/10 experience. Sidenote: Please come to KC. read more

Consistency is the most important thing in kitchen/restaurants. Ever since the current owner took over this location, the food has gotten progressively worse, different, or unavailable altogether. This is the third time I have ordered where items have been substituted entirely. I didn't complain until tonight. Our potato skins were inedible, undercooked, had provel cheese instead of cheddar, and a few specs of undercooked bacon. I have ordered the charbroiled chicken sandwich probably 200 times over the last decade or so, from several locations. Tonight is the worst I have received yet. In the past, they have forgotten the side of honey mustard that I've ordered and often paid for, or the bread was entirely different, such as a hoagie, tonight not only was it a hoagie, but it wasn't even chicken breast. It was chicken breast strip. And it had disgusting provel cheese on it, which I specifically did not ask for (I said NO cheese). They retain salad dressings, their honey mustard used to be fantastic. The french fries were pathetic, soggy, undercooked crinkle cut fries, instead of the delicious battered crispy fries of the past. Barely even warm. At least 1/3 of the items on their menu were sold out tonight. And I'm sure it wasn't just tonight, but they probably can't afford to keep everything in stock. It's a telltale sign that this biz is struggling, and will probably be closing or selling soon. I truly hope that happens for the residents of O'Fallon so that somebody takes over who can actually run the place. It's a shame, as Cecils has always been my favorite place, and would order from them 9 times out of 10 compared to Imos. To make matters worse they tried charging me nearly $60 for what ended up being $43 because the employee was incapable of accurately ringing in the food into their system. Only when I questioned her did she get a manager to make sure it was right. This will be the absolute last time I order from this business. Luckily for us we are moving to South St. Louis County in the spring, and I will be glad to be able to order from a different franchise owner who can actually maintain the reputation that Cecils has established in St. Louis. I will be reaching out to corporate or at least two other store owners to get a phone number of someone I can report all of this BS to. Shameful. Robbery. Disgusting. read more

I used to enjoy Monday Night Madness before Covid. Everything was 1/2 off on Monday nights and the place was packed. This then became a carry out only option and with shortages of help - it is now empty - with lots of carry outs. My favorite now is the late night pizza special. A large 2 topping carry out is only $7.99 which is a bargain. I love the sausage and pepperoni or the Canadian ham and pineapple. Order a couple! read more

Order 8 pizzas from the Hwy K O'Fallon location. Paid over $115.00 for pizza only to get it all home and had to cut all the pizzas. After cutting the pizzas, I called the manager. His response to the problem, oh well I guess I will have to talk to the guy in the back. Will not be spending my money there again. read more

I hadn't been here in awhile and used to really like their buffalo chicken salad but this time was underwhelming. You can definitely get a better quality salad pretty much anywhere else for $10. Poor service. When I ordered my food the cashier looked at me like I was crazy for asking for a pepperoni pizza at 7:30pm. I also ordered crazy bread with sauce. After sitting for 20 mins in the lobby the cashier tossed the pizza on the counter and said "good to go" forgetting my bread and sauce. The bread mins you had more than likely been there all day as it was next to a lunch special. I don't think I should have to remind the person who put my order in what food I'm expecting and when you advertise hot and ready you shouldn't expect a 20 min wait in dinner ours. read more

I've probably gone to Cecil Whittaker's a few dozen times over the past year or so. In most cases, I have had a pretty pleasant experience. In my opinion, their food on a scale of 1-10 is a 5/6. Sometimes the floors are super sticky when you walk on them. I am kind of a germ freak, and it's obvious this place isn't the cleanest restaurant there is. But, that isn't what their known for. They seem to be known for their pizza - and that, is just a typical thin crust pizza. Nothing super special about it. On Tuesdays, it's only $4-5, so that's a perk. They have a variety of options on their menu. Some of which I enjoy are the fried cauliflower, wings, baked potato skins, and mozzarella sticks. It's a place worth trying to say you've been there, but not somewhere I'd go for my first choice of a place to eat. read more

I hate to have to give these folks a review like this becase I really loved the place. Great staff, awesome drivers and just around easy on top of great food! However my last time was wildly disappointing. I placed an order through their website and got notification that the credit card transaction went through. I even got to choose my delivery window. But after about 2 hours after ordering I called to check on the status. The employee who answered the phone kept putting me on hold to check on my order, until finally saying "you're order isn't here so it has to be on its way and will be delivered shortly." I asked if she could make sure the order went through but she just kept repeating herself as if it was simple logic that if it's not in the store it is on its way. So I waited a bit more before calling back to talk to a manager to again check on the status. I had to call a few times bc the previous employee kept putting me on hold or disconnecting me, all the while complaining about me calling to whoever was in the background. Clearly doing this on purpose. And when she finally did call for the a manger, I could hear the manager complaining about me calling, and yelling "what does he want now!" Right away when the manager got on the phone she took a very terse tone with me telling me they were busy and she didn't have time for this. But after she calmed down a bit she finally looked at her computer and said the order didn't come through the system. Of course she couldn't process a refund bc she didn't have an order, but I asked who I should ask for if after a couple days the charge didn't come off my card, and she again became terse telling me that was not the restaurant's problem and I'd have to call my bank. After a bit of more uncomfortable back and forth, she told me I could call back and ask for the "owners nephew". My conversation with the manager took about 10 minutes and was a a super waste of time, simply bc they didn't take the time to check on my order properly the first time. Nor attempt to address the situation anytime in between! I totally get it that restaurants are under tremendous pressure, but there's no need to yell at customers - who are actually in the right for calling about things like this. And to not simply own up to a mistake and instead being down right nasty, that's not something I think is going to change. It is a real shame I don't feel comfortable attempting to order from there again. Hopefully ownership can work with employees on customer service and recognize, taking the time to do things right the first time will save them time in the long run. read more

Lunch buffet is a good deal, HOWEVER, service today was sad. Asked for sweet tea. Got super strong UNsweetened tea. Took it back and again asked for sweet tea . AGAIN got strong UNsweetened tea. Server spent all her time in the back of the store talking about personal business such as a shirt she bought for someone. So getting the drink I ordered was just not going to happen. Never once did she come to our table to ask if we needed anything. We had to chase her down. Very disappointing service today. Where is the girl that used to work Monday lunch? My family and I ordered from here quite a bit for years..... the last 2 times our experience was terrible. The last time we ordered on 10/30/2020 our order arrived nearly an hour later than what we were told.... and as we have little ones, it quite a pain. When we finally received our food, the pizza was cold, and not even completely done. Because this was our 2nd time having an issue I decided I would call. On the phone I was told they would reissue the order and give us a "credit" , which we were ok with. I ASKED SPECIFICALLY was there a confirmation code or anything I needed to keep and was told no. Welp...‍ I call today on 11/24/2020 and the manager Ken was extremely rude and unprofessional; claiming, "he can't just give away free pizza to everyone." I couldn't believe the level of attitude and for why? I even checked my bank and gave him the transaction information and was still treated with disregard. Pirreones is family owned and treats customers with respect. Needless to say that's where we will be going from here forward. read more

Not so many toppings. I ordered the pepperoni, sausage and pepperchinis and you could count the number of toppings. That's not good. It looks like they took three pepperchinis and cut them up for an entire large pizza. If you have to make two or three bites to get a different topping, I'd say something is wrong with that pizza. Yes I like Imo's better than Cecil's, but you just can't beat Cecil's value vs taste ratio. Cecils is what it is, a decent pizza at a decent price. But their lunch buffet is better than you would expect and they run several regular specials that leave you saying "you just can't beat that deal for good food". Now keep in mind the lunch buffet with a drink is under $10.00 so don't expect prime rib or crab legs and you will be pleasantly surprised. read more

I don't care what they say, I have a mad crush on Cecil's pizza and wings. The family meal deal is the way to go. It's a coupon that's been cemented onto the laminated menu and consists of 2 extra large 2 topping pizzas, family sized salad (it's super plain, provel,mozz, olives, peppercini, red onions), and cheesy bread. I like the ranch dressing they have...some might not...it has a very thinned out consistency...it's not thick at all. My wife LOVE'S the Italian dressing. Although Cecil's delivers I usually opt for take out...and even on busy nights they can typically have my order ready within 10-15 minutes. What I can remember dining inside, it feels really divey/sporty nostalgic. Cheap dining ware, friendly high schoolish staff, serving up hot food. Who can ask for more. They keep it simple. The food is good....I've just never had a terrible experience here. I grew up eating Cecil's over Imo's.....it's better. It's the simple, satisfying, St. Louis Style Pizza that I know and love! read more
