One of my favorite pizza spots in the St. Louis area, as a person who loves full meat, lovers pizza, Pirrone's pizza is an excellent place for lunch or dinner, we ordered a pepperoni pizza and the Jerry's special, both came out hot and with full flavor, the service was friendly and our waitress gave my friends a good rundown of the menu as it was their first time. Used to work in the area and often got takeout. Have since returned several times. Always loved the food and the servers were always very nice. The decor is time worn but it only adds to the ambience in my opinion. Took my son the foodie there for the first time a few years ago and he has loved it ever since as well. read more

Now this, this is some St. Louis style pizza. Square slices, tangy provel, and charred crust. The pizza at pirrone's is wonderfully crafted. A thin crispy crust is complemented perfectly by the rich, thick provel cheese with the ever so slight spice of the pepperoni. Oh, yeah, this is some great pizza. I must admit, though, you come for the pizza. I have had quite a bit of pirrone's on my life. And, I have been underwhelmed by the other items offered. Nonetheless, they have pizza in their name, so I am glad they got it right! I know a lot of folks of that have worked here. It is always a good time coming in and seeing folks you know. It is never too busy so the ambience is relaxed and not too fast. They give you time to chill and enjoy yourself. It is one of those spots you can feel it is family owned. I grew up on St. Louis thinks crust pizza and Pirrones is one of the best! Started in Noth County, this is a family Italian restaurant with garlicy salads and other favorites. I originally gave pirrone's pizzeria a five-star on all categories, but it has changed. We went into pirrone's pizzeria in St Peters on Sunday December 22nd for my sister's birthday. We got there right when they opened at noon. We tabbed out with our Wonderful waitress (is the only reason I gave a 5 star on service) at about 4:30. There are two friends that walked in at that time and sat with us. The one friend went up to the bar to get him and his wife a drink came back to the table and ordered three more beers for us with the waitress. My husband walked up to the bar to ask to have the football game put on the television and before he even said anything the bartender screamed at him " we are busy you have a waitress if you need something ask her" he sat down and was pretty angry. (We all were surprised) When our friend asked where our beers were the waitress that hold on I will check on them. That's when the bartender Kendra walked over to our table and said to us "you have been there since noon and I don't feel comfortable serving you,". Now mind you we were not drunk or causing any problems, she just caught an attitude as soon as my husband walked up to the bar to ask about the football game, I guess she assumed he was going to ask where our drinks were. The two friends that joined us are regulars there and they were quite embarrassed of how we were treated along with people at the bar that they also knew. It's a shame because I've always liked the place and never had any problems and we've always had a good amount of people walk in with us. I've never been kicked out of an establishment we're just sitting there at a table with friends enjoying our day out. Kendra should not be working in an establishment like that if this is how she treats people that is not great customer service. There were 3 of us that entered together and 5 that walked out together and went to spend our money at Gettemiers. read more

I really like this place. I have been going to the one in Florissant for decades and. Ow I go to the one in St Peters. I don't know what's going on lately but one time they let me just stand at the bar for about a half hour and finally I called them out on it. The next time I called my order in and it was almost an hour before it was ready. On top of that they gave me the wrong order and the pizza was very dark, just short of being too done to eat. I know if I went in to eat in their dining room I would not have to wait for an hour after ordering to get my food so why does it take so long to get a carry out? It had been a few years since I had been to the Florissant Pirrone's and I had never been to this one. Stopped in on a weekday at lunchtime. I ordered the medium pizza with pepperoni and bacon. I was the first one in but was surprised and how many tables walked in after me. When they delivered my pizza the scent was intoxicatingly good. It was so hot the provel was liquid. How did North St. Louis County perfect pizza in this way? It's too good! Thin and crispy crust with a flaky texture and always rectangular. A sweet pasty tomato sauce that mixes with the provel cheese and turns into a molten liquid. It's fire if you like St. Louis style pizza the way I do. After 3 pieces I had to give up and ask for a to-go box. I enjoyed it 2 more times. It's great cold as well. Super nice pizza coma in the middle of the day. I'll be back! read more

Pirrone's is the only St. Louis style pizza place I could eat regularly. Simply put, I have never had a bad one...and they are always consistently great. I waited a while for this location to catch up to the Florissant spot - and I have to tell you, they a nailing it. My pizza, my salad - and service is terrific each time I go. They have taken pandemic precautions and tables are spaced well...and employees wear masks correctly. Plenty of parking, but definitely get there before or after the rush or you will be waiting. What a wonderful evening. Several of us got together for drinks, dinner and vacation planning. Our short wait for a table was excellently served by helpful and skilled bar staff. We were shown to the perfect table for all of us and our orders taken directly. Short time later our food was served hot and fresh with no mistake. So I told her I had a carry out order. She went to the back to check it out and instead of giving me an update, she went and sat at the table with another worker and was complaining about her ex for cheating on her and gaslighting her about it. Great pizza but service is not good. Nice kids work there but poorly managed. I also get no one wants to work but to leave negative signs on the server's stand to be seated is silly. The sign says "The whole world is short staffed be kind or patient (couldn't remember verbatim)." Making excuses for shortcomings is bad. No one honestly cares about excuses, they want good service and will pay for it. The pizza is always good but for the cost of $2.25 extra per topping then getting minimal amounts of each topping is ridiculous. Then the waiter kept rushing us out like they had something better to do like take a nap on the bar tops just like the other waitress & bartenders were doing. Finally, the ambiance is disgusting. Honestly, a lil paint and replacing the lights can go along way. I really hate seeing such a loved Florissant, MO long time brand get a tainted name from this poor representation of what they offer in North County. Stop making excuses and train your staff better. The rest will fall in place, I promise. Good luck with finding better management that truly cares about your establishment. We visited the St. Peters location on June 22 with a large group of family. My sister-in-law raved about how good the pizza is and that their family drives from SoCo to Florissant just for it, so my expectations were high. We ordered supreme pizza, meat lovers pizza, and salads and they did not disappoint. This is St. Louis Style pizza that I remember from my early childhood when we used to go to Poniticello's in Spanish Lake. The crust was crisp and the toppings were plentiful and delicious. The salad was good too and the portions were ample. We ate in the restaurant at lunchtime, our server was busy but attentive and friendly. At error was made in the kitchen and they brought us 2 supreme instead of one meat lovers, the error was corrected quickly and they let us keep the other supreme that was made in error. Pirrone's is one of the great family-owned St. Louis Pizza restaurants. In comparison to the most popular chain pizza st. Louis style pizza restaurants; here, you can find a perfect example of what makes St. Louis pizza truly great. The crust, while thin, is still obviously bread, and there is, for lack of a better term, a yeast characteristic that reminds you it is a crust made of bread and not a cracker. Their sauce is mildly sweet and the cheese is, of course, provel. They can, at times, be very busy, and the food can take a while; this is not for lack of hard work from the staff, but a testament to the popularity of the restaurant, and the general availability of staff these days. We eat at the St. Peters location, but I've been to the Florissant location which is also delicious. Highly recommend! read more

First, the pizza is amazing. Probably the best "St Louis pizza" in St Louis. BUT, the kitchen is slow as can be. We ordered at 11:00 over the phone, the minute they opened, and we were told 30-35 minutes (which is ridiculous). It took 57 minutes to receive our pizzas. This is unacceptable. Jay, you need to step it up. Pay some money to get some adults in the kitchen. I want to enjoy this place for years, but people Will stop coming. Step it up kitchen! So mixed review... Food (Pizza) gets 5 stars - one of our top three pizza picks in St. Charles County. Service gets 1 star - the gal waiting on us obviously does not like her job (or was having a bad day). We'd have to hunt her down if we needed something. She showed up to take our order, deliver food and deliver check without a smile or any type of interaction really. Restaurant condition / cleanliness gets minus 1 star. I've noticed the last couple times Ive been there how run down everything is from the carpet to the walls. I think I will be taking a break from here and finding another location to get my stl style fix.
