I grew up around Chicago and I have missed the pizza! I work pretty close to Nancy's , so I had to pick it up and try it out. I know I'm biased to this style of pizza, but it was delicious! It's a small pizza joint that I think is mostly for pick up? I didn't see tons of places for seating inside unless I missed it. We got a small stuffed pizza (or deep dish) with pepperoni and sausage just to try. It's the only time I eat pizza with a fork but dang is it tasty. We also got a simple cheese/pepperoni and then the Uncle Tony's in their normal, tavern style crust. It was good and reminded me of pizza that I grew up on. It amazes me that being so close to Chicago it is hard to find deep dish pizza in the STL. I got the stuffed crust which is your traditional Chicago deep dish. I'm in St Louis so, about 4 hours away. Thanks to the Pizza Connoisseurs of St Louis Facebook group, I came across this place. Everyone gave rave reviews. Ordered online using their App was a pretty easy and straightforward. Ordered a Medium Uncle Tony's. It was so delicious. That sauce was amazing, fresh, tart, thick, and spicy. The crust and all of the cheese were satisfying. Sausage and Bell Peppers were a great. Came with about 6 slices. I was stuffed with 2. Tried their buffalo wings as well; they were great! You say that cracker and wax and red stuff is pizza, no. So we bought our time with fast food pizza, and occasional trips to Chicago. It gave us that gum rubbing fix we could not get any other way. Yeah there are a few stuffed places here and there, but they were low grade. You know enough to get you by. But tonight the heavens opened up over pizza purgatory, there was a light. Faint at first have you tried this pizza, you need to try this pizza. What do these southern folk know about pizza. I was in Chicago this weekend. I could get it any where look on that corner it's Uno's, there Lou's, girrodano, the mom and pop place here and there, have you ever had Nancy's, they have pretty good pizza. Wait you said Nancy's they have one but us. The wife worked late and wanted dinner, I say let's try Nancy's. I try to order, I was out of their area, but at last my night in shining red and white armor. It was the 21st century, I did not need the companies people to give my pizza, some rando can spot...... huzah we march at morning light. I placed my order, it was was 60-88 mins. I can't even fly to Chicago in that amount of time. So we wait, times ticks by. Was it worth the delivery fee was it worth the tip, mind you in my day of delivering pizza we got on average $2 for a tip, and I get this man $15 for some thing untried untested or untrue. Woof woof woof all the sudden the dogs bark, lights enter the drive way, was it the wife, no, was it the oldest no, and the youngest nah basketball game is still goin. All the sudden I am transported back to my youth, when we would drive up to my grandparents and meet them at the pizza place. It was heaven, it was my youth. Was the sauce my favorite, not really, was the cheese, sausage, mushrooms and crust in the right place at the right ratio yeah, so we will let it slide. Been wanting to try this for months - went last night and didn't realize they don't have seating/dine in. After a bit of a wait (no one acknowledged us standing at the counter) we ordered and were told it would be 45 minutes. Ran an errand and came back to find they couldn't find our ticket (?) but eventually "found" our pizza. So it was more like an hour and 10 minute wait. Got home with the pizza to discover it was a cheese deep dish (with extra cheese) and not at all the specialty meat pizza we ordered (and paid $50+ for). Called to address with manager - no offer to fix/correct at all... only offered $10 credit for next purchase. The cheese deep dish was just ok - crust was hard and wayyy too much cheese (and missing the toppings we ordered). NO ambiance - as there isn't even a place to sit and wait for your order or even share an appetizer while waiting. read more

Always wanted to try this place. Unfortunately, the day I decided to go, my service dog and I were rudely told no dogs were allowed in the restaurant by some 40-50 something guy. Even though to my knowledge, it's carry out only and we were the only ones there. I didn't feel like explaining to the idiot that denying access to me, a person with a disability, accompanied by their service animal... violates federal law. In that short conversation between he and I, I knew that outside of pizza toppings, he wasn't going to understand anything coming out of my mouth. Stopped in on a recommendation for a Chicagoan themself. Ordered a small Uncle Tony's deep dish pizza and was so happy they even offer small! It comes with 4 huge slices and takes about 30 minutes to cook. This place is take out only- they may deliver not sure- so we ordered ahead and it was waiting when we got there. It was absolutely phenomenal. Fresh and full of stuffed cheese and crust with a thick layer of tomatoes on top and sausage, pepperoni, onions and green pepper under that layer. It was incredible. The only reason for not 5/5 was price- a small was $25 which I felt was a bit steep for a small 8-9 inch pizza but it was super filling, quick, and fresh. Nancy wouldn't get 5 stars in Chicago. But it's by far the best I've had in the STL area. Pizza is classic Chicago style and extremely good. The crust is a little softer than I'm used to, but it still hits the mark. I drove almost an hour and a half round trip for this beast and it was still hot and delicious when I got it home. Next pizza will have more toppings than just pepperoni and sausage. Their sauce is pretty sweet, I like a bit more POW in my sauce so I sprinkled on some garlic and red peppers. Overall this pizza makes me very happy. And it reheats the next day to maybe better than first day results. So glad I found you Nancy! read more

My rating for this take out order was less than I had hoped due to the thin crust pizza. I ordered an x-large thin crust (chicken, banana peppers, giardiniera, and garlic), a small cheese deep dish, and an order of garlic breadsticks. When I arrived, the pizza had just been taken out of the oven. The shop is very small, but the smell was heavenly, the cashier was friendly, and we were on our way quickly. The thin crust was a decent thickness, not as thin as St. Louis style but more thin than a traditional pizza. The toppings were flavorful and a-plenty, other than the garlic which I did not even notice. However, the crust was not even baked. Cheese and toppings were detaching from the crust and the bottom was extremely soggy. The deep dish was free for a birthday pizza with the large order. The small deep dish was large enough to keep two people full for awhile. Even though we didn't get any toppings, the pizza was delicious. The crust of the deep dish was buttery, just as it should be. The breadsticks were hot and fluffy with the smell of garlic and parmesan penetrating from the box. They also reheated well the next day. There are much better places around town to get my thin crust, but next time I want a Chicago style deep dish I will be back here for another. read more

Tried to order a pizza online at Nancy's pizza on hwy k. Placed order and got confirmation. Website said ready at 9:21pm. Left house to go pick it up and got phone call 6 minutes after placing the order just to have the guy say sorry we can't make your pizza. "We don't accept orders after 8:30pm". Told him it would have been nice if the website stated that. Why have hours posted as open until 9pm if you don't take orders past 8:30pm. Wanted to try it as lots of people said it was good.
