If I could get this place a zero, I would my family lived there for a little over a year. It was horrendous. Everywhere you went there were roaches. No matter how many times I bombed my apartment to keep the roaches out and away from my family. They only returnedbut worse. I would complain and would get no help from the front office. The front office has an employee named Claudia and she is a nasty woman, and she does not help you. She runs it like a tyrant. I'm sure the owners like this because she run a tight ship but as a renter, she treats all like crap. Everybody around the apartment complex talks about Claudia and her little minion Maria. Maria was nice at first, but quickly turned into a nasty woman like Claudia. Claudia on many occasions made my wife & I feel like we were less important because we're a LGBTQ+ family. Claudia made many inappropriate comments. I never complained for fear she would evict my family. There are no words what the hellish time my family had here. After six months, they made our apartment month month. They proceeded every other month to raise the rent exactly under the legal limit. In 16 months my rent went up $400. I couldn't wait to get out. Also, the pool is always cloudy, and in the 16 months we were there the hot tub never worked, no matter how many times, the renters called to complain. Also the Bathrooms surrounding the pool are constantly locked. Homeless people are constantly digging through the garbage and the complex does nothing to stop it. Also, the washers and dryers cost a fortune and never work. I complained once that after a neighbor moved in my entire kitchen had bo-weevils. I was told to just put my food in tight containers and they would do nothing about exterminating again dealing with Claudia and the situation drove me to almost having anxiety attacks on a regular basis. Lastly, my neighbor had a seeing eye dog. Claudia come knocking on her door and told her she had 48 hours to get rid of the dog or she worked evict her. Neighbor told her it was illegal, and Claudia told her she did not care. I got out and I hope you don't get in. read more

This has been sometime coming and I must say Cedar Glen staff are a breath of fresh air. I have been residing at this property for over Ten years. The reason for my current review is because I just renewed my lease at this property. It's a well gated and safe neighborhood. The property is well managed and the apartment manager Claudia and her assistant Myra are exceptional professionals who take care of all their tenants. Claudia and Myra are attentive and handle numerous request during my stay and have always gone above and beyond in the pursuit of taking care of my many different requests. The maintenance are also a very efficient team and during the course of my time here, there have been a few different personnel but the current crew have been exceptionally great in how they approach the apartment and then clean after they're done. They are very professional. I only have fond memories and I have seen my family grow and thrive at this apartment community during my ten plus years. I can recommend this property for families and singles alike to live and build a great future. read more

SCAM ALERT, PESTS, SNAKES, COCKROACHES When we moved in we were told we could only have a six month lease and then would be offered an extension at the end of six months. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it was the worst six months of our lives. The laundry room was broken for a straight month before we moved out and I don't think they ever planned on fixing it, we had snakes in our apartment TWICE, our apartment was near the dumpster so we constantly had cockroaches running through. There is no gate sensor or motion detector so in case of an emergency you'd better hope your gate remote is handy, or you're locked in. I was attacked twice by homeless men who cane in to dig through the dumpster. You only get one parking space and you have to fight the whole neighbourhood for parking on the street. When we moved out we didn't even ask for our deposit back because we just wanted to be out. Little did we know! We received a collections notice a few months later because they wanted $500 additional to REPAINT the apartment. They said they couldn't get in touch with us to send us the bill, even though they had emailed and called us a few times to let us know we had packages and mail at the apartment. This place is a malicious, lying scam out to get what they can. Oh, and on Halloween they will shut down the whole parking lot for a Halloween party, which is kind of cute but when there is NO PARKING to begin with it's super frustrating. Literally live in a box on the street before you live here. It's cheap but it's not worth it. read more

Normally I'm not really one to leave bad reviews. I've worked in customer service for years so I believe I have a very high patience when it comes to things. When I first moved to this apartment complex, I really didn't think it was a bad place. Location was good - close to a ton of shopping centers, Disneyland and close the freeway. When we first moved in, we asked if we could get our keys a day earlier. Because we're both working full time jobs, it was very hard to get time off to move. In order to get our keys early, we were requested to put conditions as "excellent". We didn't realize how much this was gonna bite us later. Things got progressively worst throughout time. I found a RAT inside the cupboards of my kitchen. Amenities from the kitchen were constantly broken - garbage disposal was leaking. During this time, there was also tenting for termites in the apartment complex. The apartment was always extremely loud with kids screaming and running around. Every time people were going up and down the stairs, you could hear loud banging. Parking was a whole another story. Parking was a NIGHTMARE. You get one garage spot, and the other spot is first come first serve. If you come home anytime passed 4PM, forget parking. You'll be parking about half a mile to a mile away walk just to get home. The last thing you want to do, coming home after a long day of work is walking a 15 minute walk. When I was walking to my car early in the morning at 5 or 6 am to work in my heels, you could smell trash around. I had a friend visited one time, parked their car and had their car broken into... I requested for move out paperworks in July so we could get everything situated by our move out date in August. We kept getting "renewal paperworks" which got sent twice to our door. When I finally went into the leasing office to get everything squared away, because I haven't submitted in my 30 day notice, they attempted to charge us another month of rent. Sounds like a lot of shady practices... By the time we moved out, keep in mind, this was only a little shy of a year that we lived here - not only did they strip us of our $750 deposit, they billed us an additional check of almost $1300 for additional damages?! Damages including a crack in the ceiling and change of an accent wall? You had two girls living in an apartment, so what in the world would we do to crack the ceiling. The walls were already painted as an accent color.. Based on other reviews left on here, it doesn't seem like it's the first time they've gotten an complaint like this or abused people's deposits. I HIGHLY do not recommend this complex, I recommend LOOKING ELSEWHERE!!! read more

Where to begin? Initially, it is extremely easy to be fooled by this complex. One freeway exit from Disneyland, a plethora of good eats and shopping centers a mile in both directions, The Outlets of Orange less than a 5 minute drive away, and almost directly between the 91 and 5 freeways. You can hear, and sometimes see, the fireworks from Disney. 3 pools, a playground, a decent fitness center, and laundry rooms in every building that are almost never full. But all of this is about to take a turn for the worst. Do you enjoy running water? Well, forget that. Once a month from the hours of 9 am to 2 pm, your water will be shut off for "repairs". When the water is running, it will never get hot. You can call maintenance about once a week if you enjoy having dirty work boots stomping all over your freshly cleaned carpet from their last visit. Then, you'll get an excuse about how they can't turn the boiler up because it will burn everyone else in the complex. So there's that. Maintenance is there to shrug and tell you there is nothing they can do. You can follow every direction given to keep your appliances running in the best condition but they're still going to break on you. Promise. 2 garbage disposal replacements, 2 dishwasher repairs, and don't even think about getting light bulbs and blinds replaced as promised upon signing your lease. Parking. That's another story. Each unit is given one parking spot (not a big deal, obviously) and a parking pass that is free game. Sounds great, right? Well, that is until you find out that there are maybe 50-60 spots total for over 200 tenants. There is zero chance of finding a spot anytime after 5. While you are warned about this when signing, there is street parking in quite abundance. Just try to ignore the tweakers and gang members following you around while you take that 15 minute walk to the complex. Or you know, you can always park at Wal-Mart across the street. And onward with parking, if you are moving maybe a new piece of furniture from your car to your unit, prepare to be towed. My car has been towed THREE times WHILE my hazards were on moving items in my apartment because guess what? Your given spot is typically going to be on the opposite end of where your unit is. Peace and quite will become a thing of the past. If it isn't neighbors having parties from 7 am to midnight, it's about 20 kids screaming their heads off with no parents in sight. Pool parties are a daily event year round with zero response from complaints. If you're on the second level, expect skateboards and bikes to be ridden in the walkways. Again, your complaints will do nothing. Neighborhood crime is rampant and rising. Every 3 weeks, you'll be prompted by a helicopter demanding that you stay inside due to a dangerous and armed subject in the neighborhood. Drunk drivers will crash into parked cars, police standoffs will prevent you from even getting onto the street, tweakers and hobos screaming in the riverbed will keep you up at night, and walking at night is just a no-no. I do not recommend renting this apartment to ANYONE unless you fit a very specific circumstance; a Disney Cast Member who is never home that wears earphones to sleep. Sorry but I can't wait to get out of here. 2 years of misery finally coming to a close. read more

Worst apartments ever. I was constantly locked out in the sketchiest neighborhood. Parking is VERY VERY limited. While I was staying here one of the apartments caught on fire and they had to put those "POD" dumpsters across MULTIPLE of those very precious spaces. When you cant find a spot (and your apartment is only given two clickers for the gate!) you have to actually wait for someone to open the gate to even get OUT, then you have to park in the gang infested neighborhood and walk only to be locked out again. I do have to say, once I was being harassed and a security guard actually came out to help me and escorted me inside. The pool is nice when you can actually get in it. Same with the Jacuzzi. Always filled with unattended kids, drunk people, and incredibly rude creepy men who stare... The actual apartment itself was really nice but every morning around three am the neighbors would either sound like theyre sawing something or dragging chairs back and fourth across the tile. One night around two a fire alarm went off for hours and I called security worried about my def neighbor. In the morning it was off so I checked in with the people in the office and they didnt even receive a report about it... The one lady in the office always seems like she could care less about things but Paloma is honestly the nicest lady ever. But usually when I complained about things it would get better for a day then continue as normal. For example. The kids in the neighborhood are OUT OF CONTROL!!! They run and scream and break things and knock people over and dont care. And the parents of these kids care EVEN LESS (with the exception of Anger Management Tweaker Mom upstairs who actually does the screaming for one of the slightly more behaved kid, and proceeds to call him names and comment on how stupid he is... seriously...) On a couple occasions the kids would scream IN MY WINDOW AT MY CAT! And once even broke my screen to try and get to her!!! Which leads me to the deposit part... We put (if I remember correctly) around 12hundred in deposit down and received less than $200 back... after six months of not being able to sleep, being locked out for hours, being stared at and knocked over and harrased and almost impaled by jumping the gate every night, and leaving the apartment SPARKLING and they decide they have to paint and recarpet (and replace the screen the out of control MONSTERS broke!) after only SIX MONTHS and all of that is going to cost $1000 is RIDICULOUS!!! I would have taken them to court if I wasnt so goddamn broke from having to empty my savings just to get out of that hell hole and into another apartment. Im giving it two stars. One for Paloma, one for the security guard who probably saved my life. read more

The parking is ridiculous- Be prepared to be towed!!! The only thing security and management cares about is towing cars...What type of secured complex/management team signs a contract with a private towing company to allow the tenants and guest cars to be towed. I've live here at Cedar Glen Apt for 8+ years and have had my cars towed 3 times...Each time the towing company stated that the placard was not displayed on rear view mirror, and when you get your vehicle the placard is on the floor - go figure! It's like they work strictly on commission to be split with management... The visitors parking is also a nightmare only allowed 4 hour parking at a time. Only 9 + 1 handicap spot for over 200 residence that's insane! Parking is unbelievably hard to find, you'll need to find parking on the streets. "Warning Audio & Video Surveillance on duty at all times" The security patrolling during the night is a joke. Twice I've contacted the office regarding my property being stolen or tampered with and was told that the video cameras were not working..So what purpose does it serve to have this posting if it's not being viewed? 8 years ago it was a really nice neighborhood/complex now It's a gang infested, the pool and Jacuzzi areas are nice but always filled with kids around the neighborhood... Lived here 3 years n just signed on for another year. Bottom line. If ur looking for a safe place w few if any bugs ull be fine here. I leave windows open at night n dont worry. Occasional bug but usually a small spider. Not common. Bitch named melody used to run the place but gone. Management much better now. They upgraded the washers n dryers n u can pay w ur phone. Overall quiet. If people have a party they quiet down late. Pools n gym fine. Overall i am happy w this place. read more

My daughter and I moved into Cedar Glen two years ago, and we just love it here. The grounds are well maintained. Should any maintenance issues pop up, one telephone call to either Claudia or Mayra is all it takes to have the issue resolved. The amenities are some of the best I have ever seen. There is a common area where there is a playground for children and charcoal BBQ's. Also need to mention there are three pools, a jacquise (sp) a fitness center, and plenty of laundry rooms. Have you heard of the saying "You get what you pay for" ? Well this place is the prime example of that. I've been living here for almost 2 and half years and its been horrible experience.. The manager Melody Breshears is rude,loud and disrespectful. How she runs this place without a law suit Ive been asking my self that question daily. Water gets shut off at least 4 times a month for "repairs". The security is unbelievable I actually had an incident with one of the security's to the point where the supervisor and manager came out to apologize Cars get towed daily. Its like they work strictly of commission my car has been towed 3 times $285 Twice when I was unloading groceries. Parking is beyond horrible your allowed 2 cars sometimes at night past 11 you cant leave to all the convenient stores that are around because everyone knows that youll either have to way for ab hour before anyone leaves. If that .. This place is horrible.. Pay the extra $50 somewhere else . Don't deal with crazy management here. Constant fees .. Don't mean to rant but I don't anyone else to experience what me and my family or visitors have gone through. Goodluck ! read more

Apartment was decent for the price (upstairs 2 bedroom for around $1700). Parking wasn't an issue only because I work from home so it was mainly my boyfriend coming and going, but if you have more than one car that is going to be used be prepared to fight to the death for any spot inside the gate. Had a couple times we had to call the maintenance people for a couple fixes. The simple things they fixed fine but when asked to fix our leaky dishwasher he just looked at it, looked under the sink, said "OK!" and then left. The leak was never fixed so we just had to make sure the water never sat to long in the kitchen. My biggest issue is what my boyfriend and I went through after we moved. $700 down payment and only getting $28 back? We only lived there 6 months and we got charged that much for painting and fixes? There were no issues with the apartment other than dents in the cheaply made kitchen counter (plywood with some sort of glaze on top so you can't put anything remotely close to hot on them and we're not informed of that when moving in.) Apparently after 6 months it costs over $400 to repaint the entire apartment?? There was only a few marks on the walls that we made sure to clean up before we left. No huge holes, no serious damage. So be prepared to not get your deposit back no matter how well you take care of the apartment. tl;dr Price was ok for what you get, parking sucks if you actually use your vehicles, maintenance people don't really understand what you're saying when you're explaining what needs to be fixed; you won't get your deposit back even if you leave your apartment like you never lived there read more

The main issue (which you are warned at lease signing) is the parking. You get one assigned carport and a pass for a 2nd first come first serve parking spot. This part sucks however if you use the veh parked in the carport after 5pm when going out your good to go. Management is just awesome. A Halloween party is hosted annually for the residents with food, music, fun games and raffled off prizes. No stingy gifts either... $100's of dollars worth of gift cards and other items are given out. It's also an opportunity to get to know your neighbors. I've had almost all repair requests which I've either called or emailed about repaired same day. They've even followed up to assure everything was fixed to my satisfaction. Kids can tend to be loud however what apartment complex with kids isn't? They do have a large play ground and multiple pools which help. The apartments across the street are sketchy... However this is a gated community. The location as far as shopping and two main fwys (5 and 91) couldn't be better. Honestly, if it weren't for the parking... I'd give 5 stars. But you can only do so much with the space provided... This is a large community. As for the previous review which mentions the inconvenience of having storage "Pods" taking up precious space...though that may be true....weren't those who lost almost everything in the fires worse off?? How great that management would allow them to store what little could be saved on the property while the units were repaired....management even passed out flyers asking for donations of clothing, household items, money, etc to assist those affected. I moved here with my boyfriend in October of last year. We've been here 6 months now and I want to post a review for others looking into moving here. If you're anything like me, you're researching like crazy right now looking for your new place. Well, here is my two cents. I like it, we have a 2 bedroom for $1520. We have 2 cats so our options were more limited when we were looking. I was a little worried about the neighborhood at first but so far there haven't been any issues. Everybody pretty much seems to keep to themselves. The apartment we moved into was clean and has no maintenance problems. No roaches, which is very difficult to find in this area. When we were looking that was very important to me. The apartments are right next to the freeway and you can hear it at all times but if you close the windows it's not too bad. Also, after a while it's just white noise. Parking is a nightmare here if there are multiple vehicles. Each apartment gets one assigned spot and a parking permit for a second vehicle for the open spots on the property. However, these spots are full before 6 PM every night and there's nowhere else to park for several blocks. This isn't an issue for my boyfriend and I because we carpool with the car in the assigned spot but if I worked odd hours and had to use the "first come, first serve" parking it would be a nightmare. Also, because of the parking situation it's a big hassle if anybody wants to come over. We just meet friends elsewhere or at their place. If this isn't an issue for you though I would recommend it. When I was researching this building I was put off by the amount of reviews I saw claiming that cars were being towed all Willy Nilly. Maybe that was a problem before I moved in but since I've been here I have never seen a tow truck. I frequently double park for a few minutes when bringing groceries home and it's never been an issue. Management and maintenance are very attentive. The few times we've had a maintenance issue it was dealt with immediately. The ladies in the office are friendly and I always see the maintenance guys doing their thing as I come and go. It's a huge complex so I can't speak for the whole property but our side of the building is quiet and everyone minds their business. So I had moved to Illinois for sometime, while being there I decided I miss Cali way to much but at the same time I didn't want to fly back with nowhere to live, so after about 3 months of calling several apartments and doing research I run into this apartment and started talking to Claudia who was offering exactly what I was looking for plus more. Although I have to admit I was a bit hesitant cause it seemed too good to be true but the price was perfect for what we wanted. Upon arrival to the apartment I was impressed how well organized and polite how the staff was, especially Claudia who made us feel very welcome. I figured the apartment would be so so cause it included most the utilities, car wash port, 3 pools, an ample amount of washers and dryers and even a gym. However we walking into an apartment with fresh two tone paint, new carpet, resurfaced countertops and the list goes on... I don't know many apartments that even allow you to place your tv on the wall without loosing your deposit but Cedar Glenn sure does. Now I'll be honest and say yes I had some issues but Claudia took care of everything right away. Even when I got a new fridge she sent someone the very same day to tap and install the ice maker to the waterline. Overall I am very impressed with what we found and absolutely happy here. Honestly we have no plans on moving out of here till I saved up enough for a house of my own and with the prices here, that goal wouldn't be hard to achieve. After reading all the reviews I felt like providing my experience with Cedar Glen Apartments. I have been here for about 4 years, its the lowest apartment location I have found so far. The management team is always keeping this place clean and are available to fix any issues in your apartment ASAP. I have never had any issues with bugs or noisy neighbors which was a HUGE concern for me on any apartment place I am in. Yes the parking is ridiculous and if you want to guarantee a spot you will need to be home early or you will have to park further... But I will take that over dirty, bug infested, loud neighbors any day! Since day one Melody has been nothing but nice, friendly and always made me feel like if I had any issues or problems to let her know right away. We are signing our lease again ( Even with rate increase ) because we love being here. The apartments where I am located are very quite and beautiful !!
