Happy Days Campground is a great Rustic Campground with tenting campsites as well as full hookups…read morefor RVs and campers at very reasonable rates ... The best thing, Happy Days is only 4 miles from one of the greatest attractions in New York ....Bethel Woods, the 69' Woodstock Concert Field and the historic Woodstock Museum (which is a must see... you'll thank me later). The campgrounds are covered in pine trees, so you awake to great, fresh smelling air. It's very clean. The showers, bathrooms and rec room were immaculate. I drove my RV here, but on the premises, you can rent well restored, classical 3-wheel campers for a minimal fee and spend the night in camping luxury (and instead of my gas guzzling RV, I'll bring my car next time, instead and still save).... Tim, one of the owners, is great. From his story, he had no intention of running a campsite. He was in corporate management. He came to Happy Days as a kid. When the woman who owned the site told him, he'd have to find another place to camp next year ... the wheels went into motion. This campsite is Tim and his brother's baby and the care and the high standards they have also shows in their appreciation of their customers ... and I'm sure that comes from having originally been a customer of the campsite. Make sure you make reservations in advance, especially when Bethel Woods has a concert planned for the weekend. I was going to stay an extra day but I waited too long. Booked for the Bethel Woods concert goers.

Great place to camp for the weekend! If you're looking for a local little getaway then I would…read morerecommend this campground. The campground is a decent size and very pretty. The owners are nice and accommodating. I called to make a reservation and was able to do so. It was $35.00 a night. The price includes your campsite, fire pit, access to kayaks, showers, and bathroom. To be clear, we picked a site where you can set up a tent and not an RV. But RV sites are also available. Check in was a breeze and was brought to our site once we checked in. Wood is sold on the site. Its a dollar per log. We did see a bear by the garbage and immediately called the owners to let them know. They did come and close the garbage bins and made a lot of noise to lure the bear away. Make sure after you eat you put all food and drinks in your car and leave nothing out once you head to bed. This will attract bears if you leave stuff out over night.

Long story short, my group arrived at dingmans just before sunset after…read moreleaving rivers-bend campsite because it seemed desolate and too remote for my friends and I. While we wanted space, we also didn't want to be the only campers for miles. We decided to go to dingmans campground in hopes that they would have a space available for my group. The two young ladies at the front desk of the office were so welcoming, kind, and accommodating. They had a few spots open (the campground is huge) we stood at lot 79.. which was a short walk to the river and close to two separate bathe houses. The campsites are decently spaced from each other, but I do advise you ask employees which lots have more space in between them, because some are more private then others. Most importantly the bathrooms and showers were kept clean, were moderately new, and always had toilet paper and hand soap. Alcohol is prohibited, the site is dog friendly, located an hour and a half from NYC, and surrounded by trails and and water activities. Only negative was that the river was closed from swimming because of high levels of bacteria as a result of the storm that the north east got hit by a couple days prior to our stay, which is not the fault of the campground. We plan on going back once more before the end of summer :)

Sites are not too close, lots of woods, easy walk to the river, VERY clean bathrooms and showers, lots of great waterfall hikes and a really well equipped camp store/front office. If you like to go into towns, Milford is very close and we found a wonderful cafe - Cafe Wren with Indoor and outdoor seating with WiFi. Thanks for a wonderful experience!!

The campground is spotless, which is something we really appreciate. The sites are well cared for, the facilities are clean, and you can tell the owners take pride in keeping everything looking great. We spent our mornings fishing, afternoons at the pool, and evenings roasting marshmallows or sitting by a warm fire. The arcade was a huge hit, especially when we wanted a break from the heat, and the snack shack was perfect for grabbing a quick bite without having to leave the campground. There was always something to do, but it never felt crowded or chaotic. What stood out most was how comfortable and enjoyable the entire experience was. It felt safe, family-friendly, and truly relaxing. We made some great memories here and were already talking about our next trip before we even packed up to leave. Highly recommended!

There was no shortage of things to do. The fishing was great, the swimming pools were clean and refreshing, and the arcade kept everyone entertained when we needed a break from the sun. Everything was easy to access, and the staff did a fantastic job keeping the grounds looking beautiful. If you're looking for a campground that offers fun activities, excellent amenities, cleanliness, and a relaxing atmosphere, this is the place. Highly recommend it to families and anyone looking for a great camping getaway!
