Good spot for breakfast. Initially wanted to go to The Duck but they were closed for renovations. Cedar Street Grill was full and they recommended coming here. So had a party of five and they were able to accommodate us in the back room by putting a couple tables together, where were not flush but oh well. The back was fine because we had a three month old with us so worked out well. Food was good. Sister had a wrap. Brother had the three little pigs. I had a breakfast burger. I asked for the home fries to be crispy and they made them that way. Wish my egg was more cooked as I asked over medium. Bacon was crispy too Service was good too. read more

Stopped here on a whim with my mom while running errands. I don't live in the area anymore but was visiting. We had dinner at Cedar St Grille around the corner some years ago and really enjoyed. This is really cute place with a great menu. I had a Reuben and it was excellent (and I've eaten a lot of Reubens in my life, good and bad). I don't know when I'll be back but if I find myself in the specific area again, will definitely consider. read more

Food: I got a hot chocolate which was very good, one of the best I've had in a while actually. The chocolate chip muffin was dry. Marble rye bread was really really good, with not too much butter. Fruit cup was a good size, however a strawberry had mild right on the top of it. The pancakes were golden, but also dry, and was ordered with chocolate chips but there were not a lot of them in/on the pancake. Service: The staff were very friendly and food took a reasonable time to come out. Went at 9am on a Sunday morning and there was not wait. Ambiance: Music was not played too loudly, and was perfect for the setting. Table and chairs were clean. I overall recommend this restaurant if you are in the area, and highly recommend getting the marble rye toast. read more

I was considering having the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding here, I found the space to be very quaint, comfortable, and just the right size for our group of 40'ish people. We visited for lunch on a beautiful Saturday afternoon to get a better feel for the space. I was very impressed with the friendly service, and the quality of our meals. I couldn't resist ordering the breakfast, even though it was lunchtime. Everything was excellent. We had the rehearsal dinner here and I can't say enough about how wonderful it turned out. Dakota and her staff were outstanding with helping to coordinate all the details. The food was very good- we had steak tips, chicken Parm, two different kinds of salads and a pasta dish that were all cooked perfectly! Pricing is very reasonable. Breakfast was mediocre at best - food was cold, scrambled eggs were flat and utterly tasteless, and 1 piece of stale toast. The smoothie was just water and foam. We used to love the breakfast here, but it was never as good on the weekends- today was the worst ever. It's like a totally different breakfast on weekdays ( or used to be). You'll find them inside the Wight Farm complex at 420 Main Street, but be sure to enter the big parking lot from Cedar Street to get there. Don't make the same mistake we made and look for a Main Street entrance! Our server Rachel was super cool - funny, engaging, professional and quite awesome. We walked in a little after noon on a Saturday and went right to the breakfast menu. I ordered the Southwest Burrito, a big serving with scrambled eggs, sausage, roasted jalapeno, onion, red pepper, and corn for $10. The menu said it would be served with a peppered cheese sauce that I declined. It was served with an equally big serving of grilled potato chunks. I loved my meal - half of the burrito and potatoes were quite delicious and filling, so I'll enjoy the other half soon. At $10, it was excellent and a helluva great value. My wife ordered The Cafe Breakfast of two eggs with home fries and toast for $9. She ordered her eggs "Over Medium", but she said they were cooked a little too long to qualify as "Over Medium" because the yolk is supposed to be slightly runny instead of stationary. That quibble aside, we really enjoyed our visit to the Cedar Street Cafe. Our two breakfasts and an iced coffee ran just $22,50 before tax and tip, and we did take home half of my dish and half of her home fries. read more

Good selection of traditional egg-based dishes, skillet options (the cheeseburger skillet looked great), wraps, etc. Great bread. Try the marble rye! I found this place while looking for something to eat for lunch on a work trip. In a small little town this is an absolute gem. It is small and quaint little cafe with amazing baked goods and even better sandwiches. I've had the turkey cranberry panini and it was delicious. The only downside is that I found this place too late.. however next time I come back into town I will be stopping here. This morning I had a mocha latte which is just YUM. I had not intended to get a muffin however when the clerk told me they were fresh from the oven, how could I resist?? I ordered the cap cod muffin and it's truly delightful. My wife and I stopped in Sturbridge for lunch while en route to Boston. We picked Cedar Street cafe as my wife has a gluten sensitivity. She ordered a chicken salad sandwich on gluten free bread and loved it, they didn't drown it in mayonnaise and used lots of chicken to make a thick sandwich. I ordered a Reuben- delicious! My niece got married in Sturbridge (right behind this restaurant) and they ordered brunch prior to getting dressed etc. unfortunately the order got screwed up and they had to leave (after an hour) so they could get ready before their food came. However, I tried her blueberry buttermilk pancake she had gotten (as she was nervous about getting married) and it was one of the best pancake I've ever had. So fluffy and thick but not dried out or anything. So the next morning when leaving to go home I made my husband stop so I could get a pancake for breakfast. read more

Lovely old building, pleasant grounds, and the cafe staff couldn't be nicer. I recently ordered the Reuben sandwich and, sadly, was mostly disappointed. The sandwich itself was nicely grilled on a marbled rye. However, the corned beef was diced up corned beef, not slices, and kept falling out of the sandwich; and there was almost no sauerkraut in the sandwich at all. I'd go back (very nice staff, pleasant ambience), but definitely wouldn't order the Reuben sandwich again. read more

The cook refused to accommodate a garlic and onion allergy. She said she was not going to turn on the second grill JUST for us. We got there at 10 am. They made us wait 30 minutes before we could place an order (one order from the lunch menu. Cook offered a tuna sandwich for breakfast!! ) We have been going there for years and have taken friends and family as guests. We will no longer recommend this establishment. This place Looks great. It's clean, it's modern, it's minimalist. But nothing we ate (grilled muffin. a burrito, a waffle) was very good. The burrito was kind of dry and crispy because after filling and rolling they put it in a panini press. Also, the burrito allegedly had cheese but I couldn't detect it, giving the whole thing a dry finish. The muffin had a lovely texture and was the closest to what I expected but for a strawberry chocolate muffin it had only a smidge of each. Despite the tepid review I would go again but would try different things and hope for the best because the atmosphere and staff were great. read more

Pretty cute place with lots of local vibes. I've been here twice and each time my sandwiches were very good. I recommend the chicken blt and the brie grilled cheese! Sandwiches come with generous amount of thick cut potato chips. Plenty of seating inside, and there are also a bunch of tables out on the patio when it's nice. Coffee is just ok, I wouldn't come here solely for the coffee. The address is Main street but parking and access is off of Cedar. I came here yesterday for breakfast and it was so delicious. I ordered the special Vermont Maple coffee, it was delicious. I would have bought a bag to take home but it wasn't on their wall. I ordered the corned beef hash with an over medium egg instead of sunny side up. The egg was cooked perfectly and the hash hit the spot. The cheese sauce added the perfect touch. This restaurant is absolutely Awesome!they advertise that you can eat breakfast all day! Well once you sink your chops on those delicious French toast you'll be glad that statement is true. My wonderful wife had the bacon egg and cheese crescent sandwich which just melts in your mouth. Coffee was excellent as well. My only complaint was that my bacon was burnt.Normally I would deduct a star for that,but because of the Awesome company that I was with And those delicious French toast I decided to give them five stars anyway.
