Found this place with a buddy of mine after the place we were looking for was closed and I'm glad that it was. This place is great, easy in and easy out with plenty of parking. The waitress we had was marvelous all the way around. The food was great and came out super fast. I had a tuna melt with curly fries that was delicious and the fries were wicked crispy, which I love. My bud had a hungry man breakfast which he couldn't finish because it was huge. Definitely worth a revisit.

Build Your Own Omelet--2 eggs with kielbasa, broccoli, mushroom and cheddar cheese, hone fries and marble rye toast.

Had a "Build Your Own" omelet. This was a two egg omelet with kielbasa, broccoli, mushrooms and cheddar cheese. The omelet was perfectly cooked (no browning of the egg). The home fries were quite tasty and marbled rye toast. Everything was delicious. Very pleased (and I'm hard to please with omelets). It's a small, place but don't let that fool ya. The food is excellent and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommend this place.

    Chicken quesadilla yummy

From the outside it doesn't look very enticing. We were on our way back home from doing our taxes which are never fun lol and we were so hungry I yelped for a spot to eat that wasn't the delicious Monson pizza. Came across the mug n muffin & cake inside to a quaint and homey location. Definition of a mom and pop spot! The menu had a bunch of options from soup and salad, breakfast, wraps, sandwiches, mug n muffins & more! I'm not usually the type to order Mexican food ever but I saw chicken quesadillas on the menu and thought eh why not? The waitress was very nice & helpful & gave suggestions to my fiancé to try the burgers! There aren't many words I can say about how good the food was but it was delicious! Curly fries were so good and seasoned well along with the impressive seasoning of the quesadilla. Filled with Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses YUM! My fiancé thought his burger was just the right amount of juice, crunch & overall flavor. Order it pink & it's pink like he likes! Super happy we stopped in to try this spot and will make it an annual visit to try more!!

Great western omelet sandwich, one of the best.

The meal I received (Eggs Benedict Florentine, a regular menu item) was not what I ordered (Tara's Benedict, on the specials menu), but by then I was so hungry that I just ate it. It was good. However, after a runner delivered our food, our waitress never checked in with us, or even made eye contact with us, until we were done eating. When she finally came, I told her (politely) that I had ordered Tara's Benedict but had received Florentine. She seemed to not know what to do with this information - but she did want me to know that she correctly submitted my order. Okay, I said, I just wanted to let you know that there was a miscommunication somewhere. She brought us our bill promptly (the incorrect meal was not taken off the bill), but then there was more waiting for her to come back and take our credit card. Finally my dining companion went up to the register to pay the bill. While there, they tried to explain to him what happened - apparently the chef had a different specials list than the specials menu that was given to customers. This does not really explain the mix-up. Plus, it was 11am on a Saturday - near the end of the breakfast period. How did they not realize sooner that the chef and the wait staff had different specials menus? This establishment is a little off the beaten path; you have to make it a destination - something I will not be doing again.

We had an unfortunate experience this past weekend. I had scheduled a birthday party for about 45 guests at a local venue with a private room. About one hour before the guests were to arrive I received a call from the venue saying there was a catastrophic electrical failure and the facility had to close- including the kitchen, bar, and restrooms. I was now faced with 45 people milling around a closed facility waiting for a decision on how to continue the celebration. My stress level was the highest on record. I was considering a few places to move the event to, but being 6PM on a Saturday night I knew the chances were slim. It was then I thought of Steaming Tender and gave them a call. The hostess who answered was incredibly compassionate and spent a tremendous amount of time with me on the phone. She assured me that they would be able to accommodate us and started to reserve several tables. The entire group arrived about 25 minutes later and we were all greeted like old friends. We had to wait less than five minutes for the tables to be arranged and menus distributed. The evening couldn't have gone better. The food was as excellent as it's always been and the waitstaff was incredibly attentive. The guests were amazed at how quickly we were taken care of, and the quality of the food and service. The drinks were made perfectly and the food was served hot. About two thirds of the guests had never been to the Steaming Tender and were saying they would be returning. Kudos to the entire staff and management of the Steaming Tender at their professionalism and compassion at saving us from a total disaster of an important event. We will always be grateful and will continue to extend our recommendations. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

It seemed as if most people on the patio were there for the trains. We were able to watch an engineer switch tracks so he could pick up a load of cars stored nearby. We also were able to watch a long freight train go by. Lots of people were photographing, videoing, many with professional cameras and tripods. They gave a dog friendly menu. And bring water bowls for the dogs. We ordered burgers. Choice was "pink or no pink". I think they were understaffed. It took 90 minutes from arrival to departure.

Especially the older lady with orange hair, who was seating the people who walked right in front of us. she had short orange hair and an unwelcoming demeanor. we were not impressed with her customer service at all. she only acknowledged the people she knew and ignored us for a good 45 minutes. we literally stood there for 45 minutes curious as to why she wouldnt even look at us. a simple "hello well be right with you" or something along the lines of that would have been suffice. even after finally being seated, i never recieved a text from the automated waiting list saying they were ready for my party. im discouraged about the last few times ive gone here. only because of the service and inaccurate wait times. this is not the first time this has happened unfortunately.
