I agree with the previous poster that their beds aren't that strong. I've been alternating between this location, which is close to my home, and another chain, which is close to my work, for 6 months now and always seem to get better results from the latter. Although I would have initially rated my 6 months as their customer as average (3 stars), I've taken the time to write this 1 star review to warn potential customers to READ THE FINE PRINT of any contract you sign. I was informed today that because I didn't give a full 30-days notice that I'd be moving to an area with no Celebrity Tanning locations that I'd be forced to pay my scheduled payment (which is still over 2 weeks away) for a full month of tanning that I won't be at all able to use because they have no flexibility in their policy. I guess the extra $33 is worth it to them not to have a repeat customer when I move back in 8 months. Oh well. read more

The staff is always warm and welcoming, always attentive in answering any questions I have as an inexperienced tanner. I love it here! Love the beds, love the staff even more. The reason for only three stars..... I left the country for a period of time (and am still out of country) and had put my account on hold, but I was never told after 2 months, they automatically start billing you again. So when I saw a charge today for $53.90 I called and asked about it. The gal was great on the phone, but because I never cancelled my account, or gave notice to cancel it they can't refund my payment, and putting your account on hold only last two months before they start taking payments out again..... It just would have been nice if there customer service would call you to confirm if you would be back, or wanted to put the account on hold again....sad they couldn't do anything about it.... read more

I signed up last month for 5 tanning sessions. The staff have been very polite and attentive to my questions. The beds are nice but prefer the standups because they are easier for me to get out of. I only gave 4 stars because they are limited to only a few standups. Regardless, I am very pleased and will return for touch up tans. read more

I love going to Celebrity Tan. The beds are insanely awesome. I went in looking like a ghost three years ago and now people question my nationality, and always ask if I'm from Jersey? Point is; the tanning beds are strong and potent. If you want a great tan go here. More importantly the staff is incredible. It's almost like they are professional smiler's. The staff is so friendly and kind. They listen to what your tanning needs are and give you an honest opinion on a bed that is best suited for your goals. Unfortunately, last time I went I had a bed with several burnt bulbs and every time the front door opened a gush of cold air came in and I was warm then freezing cold during the entire tan. I'll for sure drive out of my way to avoid going to this location. I signed up at the Tatum location and the girls were so sweet and they always had product etc. After moving this location was the closest to me. I have been spray tanning forever and every once in a while will bed tan, which for some reason was included at Tatum but not here. They are always out of the "special lotion packet" you can buy to get a free bed tan and they will not substitute it. For real I'm not sure if their towels are straight gold but you basically have to beg to get one. Love just dripping in that barrier cream all the way to the front desk to ask for a towel after spraying. Lastly, I tanned once and left behind a ring and literally walked in the next day to this chick who works there just wearing it..... After verifying it was mine I then had to ask to have it back. She on a later date complained about having to put the spray cartridge into the machine as it gets her hands dirty and stated that her reason being she's a hand model, guess that explains the ring stealing. read more

Good variety of beds and various packages and promotions. The staff is friendly and the beds are clean. They are are very busy at this location. Nearly every time I go, there is a wait for the bed I want. I don't mind waiting my turn. However, I probably won't renew when my month is up because I prefer salons that have baby (wet) wipes and mirrors in the room. Lotions often stain my hands so the wipes are must for me. I also don't understand why there are no mirrors in any of the rooms. Most of the competitors have mirrors in the rooms. If they made these two changes I would renew every month. I have a friend who just changed tanning chains due to the lack of mirrors and wipes too. read more

The girls are always so cheerful and inviting when I go in! The atmosphere is always clean and tidy and the tanning beds are definitely some of the better ones I've used. I enjoy their spray tan as well, pretty even and lasts at least 5 days for me. If you do use the tanning beds the girls are pretty helpful in explaining which lotion is best for your skin type!! read more

Prices change depending on who is wking and they don't tell you important pricing facts. Is a Bait & switch for myself and my girlfriend. BTW we are 50yrs mature and been to many others this place is Messed up. Nice Beds but too much inconsistency. For 2 yrs every Tues I was driving 15 min away to Tangible Tanning (VERY Gd) for 1/2 price Versa Spray Tan. I pay $12.75 for med color and Moisturizer. So since my GF was going to Celebrity Tanning on Hayden & Thomas. I asked if they had deal? They had promotion buy 5 get 5 free. I explained what I was getting in DETAIL! So I go to get my 1st S-Tan and lady says I owe another $10.75 Why? Said they charge $19 for spray with NO color,huh? Then they charge $13 for COLOR and Moisturizer. I asked 2xs then she said basically a Spray tan is at least $35 Plus my girl friend had multiple mis-quotes. I'd steer clear of this place! Kelly read more

I had been going there for two years ! They never have change and counter girl was always rude !! The lights on beds always one or even 2 out !! I had a membership for 2 years and i went in and asked the 12 year old counter girl if i could put my account on hold and she told me yes !! Failed to mention that they would start billing me in 2 months!! To my surprise 2 months later i get billed 60 dollars and had not used there service at all totally misleading!! So trying to be civil i ask called and ask for owner or mngr the girl told me she was the mngr and said i was out of luck that i agreed to this misleading bull crap!!! Still no response from owner or mngt .. Lucky for me i own a SEO company here in the valley !! Sorry for them!! maybe next time they will handle the business with out being misleading!! I really like tanning here but the customer service really upset me tonight. Granted I got there about 5 minutes til closing, all the lights were on and the open sign was still on. When I pulled up in the parking lot, I could see the girls face visibly upset. I ran up to the door and she told me, "sorry, I already turned everything off and closed up everything." I saw two people in there waiting to tan so I'm pretty sure everything was not shut down plus I just wanted a mystic tan. I begged her to let me tan since I am going to Cabo tomorrow. She said " sorry, Tempe is open until 10." Normally, I wouldn't drop in right before closing but I was hoping she would accommodate since I was running a little late. If I were the owner, I would be upset if someone got turned away 5 minutes before closing. Now, I'm going to finish my tans and find another place. Getting business is obviously not a priority for this girl. read more

This location is much nicer than the one closer to me on 16th st, however you will probably have to call for the employee to turn on your bed once you are all lotioned up and ready to step in, because they have forgotten several times in the past. They do have really nice beds here, and the girls aren't as rude as the ones at the 16th st location, but I agree with many of the reviews that the lotions are over-priced and should be purchased online. OK so I am not a "tanner" and was a little nervous but Cassandra was great and calmed this first timers nerves! She explained the differences in the beds and recommended the platinum bed and even warned me that the bed had new bulbs so I would not go in too long!
