I've been here probably 1/2 dozen times since we moved to Celina (in 2012). In that time, there's been 3 different owners. All have been nice, all have kept it clean and well lit inside. All have had very reasonable prices and really tried to please. The most recent lady (I do not remember her name) did a really nice job on my pedicure and seems to have refreshed their list of services a bit. The prices may have increased a small amount but she's also added some extra treats I didn't notice before. She did emphasize that I should call to make an appointment next time - and while I certainly understand why that would be great, pedicures tend to be an impulse walk in stop for me so it's not likely I will phone ahead. Hopefully they'll continue to do walk-ins, because that was a big point of convenience for me going to this cute little shop in town. read more

Let me start out by saying the staff was very sweet and kind. Both nail techs I had were great and friendly however, the colors do not match and the shape of my nails are absolutely atrocious... I truly don't know if I'll be back because I spent $108 plus $10 tip per tech for my nails to look like this.. Mismatch color, shape is so inconsistent they look like duck nails. Thao is amazing! She really takes her time and doesn't rush like many other salons. She's thorough, detail-oriented, and genuinely cares about making your feet look their best. I usually leave other places still messing with my cuticles at home, but not with Thao ...my toes look perfect. Plus, her services are very reasonably priced. Highly recommend! read more

Let me preface this by saying that I have NEVER written a bad review in my life. I am not giving a negative review because she does a bad job. Quite the contrary. However, since February I have experienced nothing but negativity from Thao in the past 6 months. I have been going to this nail salon for the past 2-3 years and Thao has done a wonderful job. I have recommended her to friends. I have her cell phone in my contacts and have calleded her many times over the years. Once COVID happened, I text her about 4-6 times and she never responded. I went to the shop and she was actually there. As I went to open the door it was locked and she shooed me away. Rather than opening the door or writing a quick note, or even texting me, because she has my number, she just motioned me away. Because of COVID, I understood and continued to text over a couple of months with no response. I finally noticed she was back at the shop on a regular basis so I went in to the shop to see if I could make an appointment. This was back in June. She told me no I couldn't schedule an appointment because she was cutting back on hours and was considering selling her shop. However, I really was beginning to feel like for some reason she just didn't want to have me as a customer. However, I asked her that question and she denied that was the case. I tried another place but after a couple of months decided I would try Celina Nail Spa because she hadn't sold her shop and I noticed her shop was always open. Maybe she changed her mind and decided to keep the shop. Today (August) I walked into her shop and asked if I could see her appointment book (which she keeps open for everyone to write their own appointments down) and she said "I don't have anything this week" (this was on a Monday). I said that was ok I didn't need to schedule for a couple more weeks. She then said "I can't do you. Your feet are too hard. I'm sorry." Honesty and Integrity are importance to me and all she had to do was tell me 6 months ago that she felt my feet were difficult but instead she wasn't honest and avoided me and the truth with one excuse after another. So I have been coming to this place for years. It has changed owners 2-3 times during that time, but the current owner has had it for several years, and I like her the best. She does a good job for a reasonable price. She did go up in prices recently, but $40 for a mani/pedi is still very affordable, especially considering she's just a few minutes from my house. She is the only person working there, so you do need to call in advance and plan on being there for a full 60-90 minutes. Unless you're calling on a Friday or Saturday, she can usually get you in on the same day. She has several chairs, so even if someone is booked right after you you can still relax in the massage chair while you dry. I've never felt like I was being rushed out like I have at other places. She also offers a lot of other services ranging for eyebrow waxing to facials, and I've actually seen just as many customers come in for those services as do for manicures. Another added bonus, this place is just a block of the downtown square of Celina, so even if you did walk-in and she couldn't get you in for another hour, you could easily spend that time visiting the shops on the square while you wait. read more

I walked in to see if they can do my nails,, there was a lady sitting in a chair taking selfies,, nobody was in the place,, I stood there the lady taking selfies turned around and looked at me with a disgusted teenage look because she had to stop taking pictures of herself and stared at me so I asked if they only take appointments she laughed like she was retarded and pointed to the door, I was like excuse me,, and she just continued to laugh and point at the door,, another lady came out and I asked,, so you only take appointments and she said yes yes yes,, I said so you don't take walk in,, she said yes, no I sorry!!! I just moved from Frisco and am trying to get away from going back there for everything. So, I decided to try this nail salon. I made an appointment since I read that walk-ins are discouraged. When I arrived, I was told I came at the wrong time so I offered to come at another time. I was told they'd fit me in if I could wait 10 minutes. I agreed to stay. After 10 minutes she did a polish change on my toes and started to remove my old gel polish from my nails. Then another customer walked in that apparently had an appointment at that time. I proceeded to wait, I wasn't in a huge hurry. A gentleman that worked their, I'm assuming her husband, continued removing my gel polish. I don't think this was something he'd done before. After he halfway got the polish off, they left me there waiting some more. I wasn't complaining. I just kept thinking it'll probably just be a few minutes longer. A full hour and a half after the appointment time I thought I had, my nails hadn't even been started. I decided It was time for me to leave. I was very nice about it and offered to pay for my toenail polish change and be on my way. It turns out they charged me $15 to remove my old polish, well, halfway remove it. Honestly, if they told me sorry for the trouble and asked me to come back I probably would've. I was just a little frustrated that I waited that long, trying to be accommodating, and then was charged $15 for an attempt to get off my old gel polish.
