My last pedicure was by Nina and it was amazing. Today however, my gel Majestic Manicure was great until the end when I was going to be charged for majestic but, I didn't get the neck massage. After bringing to attention, I did get the neck massage and then I asked for 5 more mins at 1.50 per minute. I got 3 mins and was charged for 5 but after that, on the way home, the math wasn't matching. So my total they said was 64.50. So the Majestic was 32 and gel an extra 20... 52.00 + 7.50 for 5 extra mins but was only 3. That should have been 59.50. They charged me 64.50 before tip. ????? read more

The pedicure was fine. It seemed like both ladies were struggling with the color I chose and didn't have a better suggestion. The manicure was horrible. I didn't like it at all, but she was insistent that it was fine and cute. She ended up repainting the to match the toes which was what I had originally asked for. She was extremely rude towards the end and going SO fast. She cut me and the polish is already chipping. She didn't even cover the entire nail on EVERY finger. I am never coming back here. So far I haven't had any issues here. I've had to wait only once or twice in the times I've come. They have a better nail polish selection than other places I've visited in the area. I have natural nails--not fake--and they've always done a good job. I can't speak to the other services where fake nails are involved, but if you're having your own done via manicure and/or pedicure, I like this place. read more

I got a new set on the 1st week of April and when I took them off a few weeks later I found this. It's has been 7 weeks since she did them and this is what they look like. This is why I never get my nails done. I asked for a manicure, with regular polish on my natural nails, and please don't cut my cuticles. They insisted on only giving me a "polish change" since I didn't want my cuticles cut instead of just leaving that out of the manicure treatment, so all I got was the polish-- no oil, hand massage, or anything listed under their manicure service (which I asked for). My nails were super sharp and unclean after the lady filed them, and what looked like the owner made condescending comments about my design choice and pointed and laughed in her language with my nail tech. SO unprofessional, which is annoying because my friend right next to me had a wonderful nail tech that loved her choice of tomato-looking nails and was very professional. I also got laughed at by the owner for not knowing the difference between a polish change and a manicure since I never get my nails done. Do not go to Amy. read more

I will never be back at this nail salon. The lady who did my nexgen was so rude and rushed through the whole thing. She had an attitude the whole time and didn't like the way I held my hand while she was working so she put my hand on top of the cotton container while she was working. She only used the sander to take off my old nexgen and the nexgen dust was all over her and me. I didn't finish my water because i was afraid it was covered in nexgen dust. This is the only nail salon I've gone to since moving out to McKinney this past June. Very clean, friendly, and efficient. My last visit in particular was pleasant. I was using a crutch to help get around as I was healing from a knee injury. I wish I asked for my nail technician's name now... He was very thoughtful about how he moved my leg, especially pressure he applied as he did the massage part of my pedicure. The seats are wonderful and the layout is beautiful. No real sweat being a guy getting nails done here! Service: absolutely up to par with my expectations. If I lived nearby, I'd come here for sure. I have been to this nail salon multiple times. I have never left feeling like it was an amazing experience but was always willing to give it another try. So I got a pedi there this past Saturday. During my pedicure I felt like the guy was a little rough with the pumice stone so I asked him to be more gentle. Next thing you know both of my feet have visible injuries. Nothing "Grand" about this Salon. Appointment on 7/17 at 4:45. (Birthday pedicure treat for me) We got there 4:40, was greeted, picked our color and sat down. After about 5 minutes we were asked if we wanted soda or water. 20 MINUTES LATER:we were seated at pedi chair with water ready in the sink..... 25 MINUTES LATER:1 nail technician approaches my gf to ask her what kind of pedi she wanted. She leaves, comes back with a neck wrap and the pedicure tray and starts my girlfriend's pedicure. A few mintues later, a nail tech FINALLY approaches me to ask me what type of pedi I wanted. He then disapears and comes back with the tray and starts my pedicure. TOTAL WAIT TIME: 45 minutes for our pedicures to get started. (A pedicure usually takes at about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes, no waiting) TOTAL TIME ON 7/17 WITH AN APPOINTMENT: 2 hours. That is UNACCEPTABLE. Nothing was communicated to us by ANYONE that we had to wait or they were running behind. We definitely would've gone somewhere else. We ENDED UP BEING LATE FOR MY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION! In addition to this fiasco, my girlfriend's pedicure smudged today. How can that happen?(For the price that was paid I'm shocked) We are sadly disappointed. The pedicure technician was so busy watching tv, she put gel clear coat on top of my toenails and 3 hours later is when I discovered this because my nails were so sticky, all the polish came off! My Nex Gen was sanded so deeply. I told the technician it was burning me. He proceeded and sanded a hole in my nail bed-REALLY? I am always happy with the services I received and their prices are very reasonable. Grand Nail Salon is run by owners, Trish and Andy, who are always on site at this beautiful salon to insure high standards of cleanliness and customer service. I was hoping to make this my regular nail salon. I have been coming on and off with my mom for the past 10 years. I have come every 2-3 weeks for the last several months since I moved nearby. These nails were done 6 days ago. They started breaking day 1, but today was my first day off to come in and ask for a fix. I spoke with the manager and tried to show her the broken nails. Instead of looking at the nails, she looked straight at me the entire time I spoke, ignored my broken, (and painful) nails and tried to argue that I should just keep the broken nails and it's normal for, "tips", to break. These aren't tips, these are my real nails. I asked again for them to be fixed, and she said that I could come back later or wait 45 minutes. They clearly don't need my business if this is how regulars are treated. That was $100 of my paycheck sadly wasted, on nails that didn't last a day, from a salon that takes no accountability. read more

Okie dokie here's the scoop: My mom came here and was not pleased because she said one of the ladies was very rude to her. Supposedly the woman realized that she had crossed the line and apologized to her but my mom said she will never go back. I myself decided to try this place. All in all Grand Nail is a great nail salon. It is very clean, they have an outstanding selection of polish, flat screen TV's, tons of trashy mags like Cosmo and People and a small waterfall on the wall. For $27 which is your cheapest, basic pedicure you get: --free soda (they have a fountain machine) or water. Not sure if they have wine or not. --a nice massage on your calves complete with lotion --hot towels on your legs --a very good scrub with the most comfortable pumice I have ever felt at a nail salon in my life. --my pedi was professional and I was in and out in about an hour. PS: Currently have they coupons on their website offering things like $5 off a pedicure. My pedi before tip came to $22 which is a great price for a quality job. Final note: One of the ladies who works there pulled that typical stunt after looking at my bushy eyebrows and said "You want eyebrow wax?". No, I don't want eyebrow wax. If I wanted eyebrow wax I would have asked for eyebrow wax. She also took one look at my natural nails and asked, "You want manicure?" looking slightly down her nose. This kind of demeaning, snobby thing may be okay in Asia but is a bit offensive to American women, FYI. Do not recommend! Had a very unpleasant experience here with a friend today. I could write a novel, but what I'll say is: 1. Appointments must not mean anything, because we waited an hour for services to begin...and the appointment time was recommended by the salon. 2. Communication is lacking. Not once did they indicate they were running behind....they just let us sit there waiting and waiting. We picked out colors when we arrived and it wasn't until an hour in that we were told they didn't have the color picked. 3. If the tech doesn't know how to do hombre, they should tell you....and they did not. The work was hideous and when concerns were raised, they were defensive and weren't listening to what we were saying, just speaking over us. 4. The nails were also really thick, they didn't offer to do the cuticles, the pedi job was mediocre at best, the staff was rude (with the exception of Collin who tried to come in and fix the hombre nails, but agreed they weren't salvageable and advised they'd have to start over). We left after 2.5 hours, hideous nails and all. My friend made a follow-up appt. with Collin to get them fixed, who she says is great by the way, but I think it's safe to say we will not be going back unless it's a firm appt. with Collin.
