Sa far so very good. My problem: an older (2020) Macbook Air with a display wonked out on right half. I had quotes San Rafael California $490, Falls Church more than $600, and CDepot $389. AND talking over my display replacement, CDepot said they would check if there was any more water damage (it seems my issue is not alone and is characteristic of water/liquids damage) before proceeding. If other stuff was corroded or rusty then really no point in doing the display and we could back out of the deal. Great service attitude and it sold me. So no further damage was found, a new screen ordered, and will be replaced by end of the week. This M1MBAir with 16GB Ram and 512GB SSD goes for north of $1200 new. I paid $650 on EBay so saving lots and I will be running this for 4-5 years. And it's a 20 minute walk up the street - doesn't get any better than this. read more

When your cell phone is not working, your whole world is crashing. Your entire life is on hold (that's how I felt before I found Amar at cell depot) I came here all flustered because another cell phone repair shop couldn't fix my phone properly (I had a non functional screen), and after coming here I found so much relief!!! Amar got the job done. He was very understanding and even understood my humor about the whole situation, so that made the process a lot easier. More importantly, he was VERY honest about the work and explained to me what was going on with my phone. He took the time and effort to follow up with me just like he said he would! My phone is fully functional now, and I couldn't be happier with the work! There are a few other guys that work here in addition to Amar, and they were equally as attentive and helpful. Tip: They can fix Samsung s7 or higher phones/screens. They are Samsung experts, unlike the other place I went to! Very friendly service. BUT I went in with a iPhone 6 S plus that wouldn't hold its battery only went to 3% no further (tried multiple chargers etc).... he then told me it is something more than just the charging port or the battery.. said it was the mother board and recommended I just buy one of the phones they had there to offer. LIED STRAIGHT TO MY FACE. I went home used the new phone I paid for (decent prices) put the old one on the charger just to keep it alive. It's on 100% now.. works fine. I had my badly shattered screen fixed for $80 while the employee Brian told me about the different types of replacement screens on the market and which had a higher quality (cell depot does not use the plastic ones) - he also gave me a free screen protector with my order! I brought my iPhone to have the battery replaced back in April. After only 6 weeks, the battery was acting up again (i.e. slow charge, fast draining, unexpected re-starts, etc.). I came back to have it resolved and found out they used a generic battery. The guy was willing to replace it but charged me an additional $20 for the "genuine" Apple battery. They supposedly use two types of batteries but this was explained after the fact. I wasn't aware and assumed the initial repair was done with an Apple part. But as it turns out, less than five months later, the battery was acting up again with the EXACT same problems mentioned above. This time, I decided to take it to an Apple authorized repair place (please read - this is VERY important as I've now learned the hard way!!). The new Apple-authorized repair place explained the battery was bulging to the point where it has adhered to the phone, gave off a bad smell and advised that continued use would pose a safety concern (i.e. potentially explode)! Sadly, the phone could no longer be salvaged. In addition, I was informed the battery that Cell Depot replaced for me the second time around was NOT an actual Apple product. This new authorized repair place gave me an honest assessment with the advice to replace the phone. I can now see the clear difference between cheap third party repair places and "Apple-authorized" vendors. **Tip: All authorized repair vendors are listed on Apple's website. So now, I am $75 in the hole from Cell Depot along with at least $500+ to replace with an entirely new phone (which I had not anticipated)! This place is a scam. Do yourself a huge favor - please avoid at all costs!!! read more

Had a broken camera lens after dropping my phone and never got it fixed. The camera worked but was scratched and had black spots on the screen. A guest at my work told me he works at cell depot. Just went to cell depot and Amar hooked it up. Amar fixed my camera problem all in about 15 minutes and for only 45 bucks!!! Chill dude who knows his stuff. He even recommended how I could lower my monthly cell phone bill. You gotta go here! read more

Absolutely despicable. The first time when I was looking for several fixes. A new screen, new battery, fixing the volume buttons, camera, and touchpad in my LG G5. I came in they took twice as long as I was informed - which I wouldn't mind, except for the fact that they never told me and I had to call four times before I got an answer. When they finally got it back to me, it was 10pm - and they didn't even fix everything - the touch pad and camera were still broken, but charged me as if they fixed these anyway. The second time I foolishly returned to them for the battery and to insist they fix the things they charged me for. They took my phone and told me it would probably be done the same day. This time, however, I took that with a grain of salt. They gave me a replacement iPhone, with 20% charge, and no charging cable. I was able to last about one day before the phone began to die and I had to go back to get a charging cable. So far, at this point, it has been three days. Any communication on what has been happening with my phone has been instigated only by me. When they were informed that I was leaving soon and would need the phone back by today, they've been nothing but unhelpful. Polite, yes, but absolutely unhelpful. I'm not entirely sure I'm going to be able to get my phone back in time at all, and I'm DEFINITELY never going back to that place ever again. Save your time, your money, and your phones. Don't fucking bother with them. read more

Mixed experience here. They don't completely have their act together, but I will say they're honest. When my phone started operating sluggishly, I arranged to drop my phone at the Arlington location just prior to their 7:00 p.m. closing. However, I showed about 6:50 p.m., and the clerk had closed early. Frustrating. I was trying to get my phone repaired before vacation, so I called the Herndon location to complain. They apologized but said I would have to drop it there, if I still wanted my phone by the end of the week. I drove 16 miles / 30 minutes in rush hour traffic to make it in time. I dropped it off, and they promised it back to me in Arlington by Thursday. I later received a call from the tech saying my phone didn't have a hardware problem and instead needed software clean-up, which I could do myself. They could have proceeded with the assessment and kept the pre-charged $50, but they didn't, which is admirable. They refunded my money and again promised to have it back at the Arlington location by Thursday. But when I showed up on Thursday, no phone. I raised a bit of a stink, but the Arlington clerk had no answers for me. Eventually speaking with the manager at the Herndon store, he apologized for all the snags and drove to Arlington on a holiday (4th of July) to give me my phone before my vacation. I appreciated his willingness to stand by his company's mistakes and make it right. read more

I dropped my iPhone, cracked the screen and needed to get it fixed asap. I went into the Cell Depot based on other Yelp reviews and I was incredibly impressed. Amar not only replaced the screen, but he also fixed other issues with my phone. The repair didn't take too long so I decided to wait there. While I was waiting, several other customers came in and dropped off their phones and iPads with various issues. He was extremely knowledgable and asked lots of detailed questions about the customer's problems and diagnosed the issues. I would not hesitate to take any phones or smart devices to Amar! read more

The guy was nice enough, the service was terrible. I dropped my iPhone and iPad for screen fixing. First they told me that they'd call me when done bk they didn't have the screen for my iPad. Then they never called. I went back after 5 days and the service was done. Both looked good. They told me they gave me free screen protecters. Neither device worked well afterward - neither screen worked properly. I went on vacation for a week, came back and brought in my iPhone. I was told there was no screen protecter "it must have fallen off." I was told to come back the next day to check on the warranty despite the fact that it was only 2 weeks since they fixed it - I was told this was bk my screen was "too scratched" when it was brand-new: they fixed it! Some representative "Doug", who would not provide his last name and "claimed" to be a manager was completely disrespectful on the phone and in person. He claimed he could not provide a refund on a product, but when I called the police, he quickly changed his posture and refunded me for my purchase. Nobody should have to be accosted to due business.
