Sorry to hear about some of the customer's sob stories but I have no complaints about Tyler!! He is very knowledgeable, friendly and honest in what he does. He was very upfront when I came into the store to purchase a new phone for the first time. He told me that he did not have the phone and will need to order it. At that time my phone was not working; therefore, he was kind enough to offer me his phone to use until I received my new iPhone 4 which was between 2-5 business days!! He informed me that he needed to summit a credit check to AT&T online and once it was approved, the credit card will be charged by AT&T online (not the store) and that the phone will be shipped out 2-3 business days. AT&T online account credit check is different from the store itself. Once they approved the credit check, the credit card will automatically be charge and the phone will be send directly to the customer. During the month's promotion, he offered a free phone, NO activation fee, plus a free charger and case. I received the first bill which was shocking by the huge amount, so I brought it back to him. He took care of the bill for me by bringing it down to the minimum amount and explained everything page by page. Tyler is quick and multitasking in his daily work. Regardless of what is presented to him, he will go out of his way to welcome and treat everyone as a valued customer. Whether it is a billing issue, shopping for the best rate plan, customer service, repair, unlock, questions etc....... I am confident that the other customers will agree with me here. I'm very surprised by all the mixed reviews that he has received. I guess with Yelp reviews there's always two sides to every story and you can never really judge a bad review by its cover. Remember, every store has their own policy that may or may not suit us. As a customer, we always want the best deals in town, however life will not always be in our favor. If you don't like the prices of a place, then go elsewhere!! Shop around if you need to! So what is the big deal? We have to pay our bills. He has to pay his bills and he does not have the match all of the prices out there. For everything you need there is such a thing as EBAY, however that doesn't always guarantee quality and service! I personally would rather pay a bit higher in price and receive better service. He is direct and to the point. It is what it is! He does not B.S. like other places I went to and on top of that he does not up-sell me things that I do not want. With that being said, I highly recommend Tyler to my family & friends! read more

I met Tyler when I was in a panic mode, since my phone wouldn't charge. I was freaked out as I was not local & not knowing who to turn to. Tyler was confident in what type of phone I required with the phone company I was currently with. He answered all my questions & realized I haven't had a new phone in awhile. He gave me fast lessons, which I am currently using. The next day, I was embarrassed as I had to return since my phone didn't turn on & wasn't sure if my phone was charging. Quickly again, Tyler had the answer, simply remove the battery & restart. How simple. The shop is closing in a half hour but he stayed later for me. We laughed & chatted. Another customer came in, continued to have a good time. It was after hours, another disparate person came in looking for a car phone charger. Tyler met the customers need plus also sold this customer a landline phone charger. The customer was pleased. My customer experience is now a friendship experience. I didn't want to leave (we stayed until after 11:00 p.m.. ) I highly recommend Tyler for all phone services. Thank you Tyler!! Miss ya, my friend!! read more

Do not sign up for a higher plan, when Ty tells you he cannot get the plan you want up on his computer. Do not believe it when he says it can be changed after you activate your new/discounted phone.You are locked in for 181 days! Ty works for ACN, a seller of telecom sevices. ACN has their own rules and regulation that is different from the cell carriers(at&t, verizon, etc.). Make sure he discloses ACN's contract. If you change your plan or do many things that you "think" you can, you will be charged the full price for the phone! If you already bought the phone, please read the letter that comes with the phone. Return it immediately if you don't like what it says! You only have 30days.....so it may be too late after you get your first bill!!!!! Also, before you send in your $20, to the "business" that gives you your 20 percent discount on the plans, ask "why" that business gives the discount. The discount does not come from AT&T or Verizon. Ask many questions and get it in writing.......or go directly to the carrier store to buy, upgrade, etc. Verbal claims do not hold! read more

Tylor help us to apply the At&T phone two years ago. Two years late, my friend moved to another place and she tried to transfer of Billing Responsibility to me. We called AT&T over the phone and spending almost a month to finish this thing, but it still doesn't work. Moreover, AT&T customer service told us that we have to go to AT&T store for billing translation and they will charge us $18 for provide this service. In order to save our time,so we called and asked Tylor to help us. He guided us how to do it via phone. We only used 10 min to complete this. Many people don't provide customer service after they done their sale. But not Tylor. After two years late, Tylor still help us without extra charge and we don't have to go to his store. Tyler is very nice, good business man and polite. The screen he replaced on my cellphone is cheap and a horrible product. After he replaced it the FIRST time, the touch screen wouldn't work. You had to turn it off/on in order to work. The day before I was to go back, Murphy's Law, I dropped it and the screen cracked. Saw Tyler and he wouldn't fix it free since it had cracked. I explained the touch scrreen didn't work in the first place. Only lasted TWO WEEKS. Decided to get it fixed anyway again. Sure enough that one cracked within two weeks!!!! By now I can just get a new one with all the money I spent. My co-worker warned me not to go there. He says Tyler buys all his products from China where the quality is cheap and doesn't hold up. He too has had bought inferiour products that didn't work. read more

I had a problem with my phone's screen (I guess it was cracked or had a fracture). There was a long line always cutting across the screen (looked like a hair but I couldn't get rid of it). Anyways, I was enjoying some yogurt and saw this store next to it, so I asked the gentleman inside about how to fix my phone because it was no longer under warranty. He fixed my phone promptly for under $80 and I was pleased with the service. I recommend them for any cellular phone repairs you may have. read more

I went into Cell Fone to have a look at the Jitterbug cell phone. I'm 73 years old and just wanted a simple, easy to use phone - mostly for emergencies. Tyler Chan was very patient in answering my questions and showing me how the phone works. No high pressure sales pitch. I bought a Jitterbug and I love it. Very simple to use and the display is easy to read - even in bright sunlight. I highly recommend Cell Fone (and the Jitterbug). read more

Yeah, this cell phone store is pretty cool! I went in to check it out a few weeks ago, since I was in the neighborhood and really liked what I saw. The owner ( I think he's name was Ty) was nice and I got some info about several providers that I might switch to, since he's an authorized dealer for all of those companies.
