After 3 weeks (and several ignored text messages) I picked up the phone (minus the lost cover), was not offered a refund, and had the phone fixed in an hour at a shop in Federal Way. DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF. Told me it would take 24-48 hours to unlock my phone. It's been over two weeks. When we call to ask him what's going on because he still hasn't provided the service he charged us $40 for, he tells us he is "over whelmed" or "has a cold" or "waiting on an email from someone." After two weeks with no progress we ask for our money back at which point he tells us he won't. The outside of this place is crawling with sketchy characters that will probably rob you so beware. This store sold me a "new" LG phone. Couldn't activate it. Returned to store, they couldn't activate it, turns out , it was used and Verizon wouldn't unlock it. At that point it became a paper weight. They refused to return my money, they said I'd have to trade it for another used phone, when they got another one in like it. I made the big mistake of leaving the phone there without getting a receipt. I tried to dispute the charge on my credit card and they said I never returned the phone and they would not reverse the charge. Visa tried to get my money back but they lost. I broke my phone and needed a quick, cheap replacement. Cell Phone George fit the bill. I found him on Craigslist, so I wasn't sure if it was legit, but I called, received great customer service, discovered they had an actual brick and mortar store which gave me comfort, and they offered to use Paypal, which also made me more comfortable. I didn't have to go to the store, they mailed a $10 phone + $5 charger to me (free shipping!). The transaction was quick and easy, the phone works great. horrible service, assured my phone would be unlocked within 2 business days. here we are 2.5 weeks later no unlock code, our phone had been blacklisted, no refund policy or guarentees that the unlock code george provides is permeant. i come to find out checking a phones imei is free, it doesnt cost a dime. never once during the two weeks did he call me with updates, i had to call him. he seemed overwhelmed with the unlock codes, he couldnt find our paper work just days after we paid him. i quote, "i cant seem to find the paperwork i have about 20 of em around here" a reason for paying even a single penny was on his word that we would have it unlocled in a couple days. he didnt mention the 20 customers waiting ahead of me. quote #2 about a week after paying him me: "whats going on why is it taking so long?" george: "well i emailed a guy who gets the codes for me. i emailed him something, about something....." ????huh???? what kind of answer is that. one review praised george for fixing his iphone screen maybe thats where he should focus his energy to. because clearly the system he uses to unlock a cell phone is flawed, he lied to us, kept us waiting, did not communicate what was happening or why its taking so long, when i call with questions i get the run around and excuses, i ask for a refund he tells me no. i know what no refund means, but george played me and thats really disappointing. its done and over with i cant get my money back so all i can do is warn you. dont waste your time and money. read more

Insisted that no refunds was clearly stated on contract, and after I proved to him it was not. I give this place a -10! It's that bad. I went in on the 28th paid George the owner $48 for my phone bill that was due the next day. My internet got cut off. I called George, he said he would call Simple Mobile and find out what was going on. I also called Simple Mobile 4-5 times. George lied and told me he had called Simple Mobile about my internet. Simple Mobile told me it was because of non-payment. I explained to them I had paid the bill. They said that there was no record of payment. I called George several times and he insisted he had paid the bill and was waiting on a PIN number. He lied. Simple Mobile said they had no record of George ever calling about my number or of any payment being made. George told me to wait until midnight and it would be fixed. At midnight... My entire phone was shut off because of NON-PAYMENT!!! I have a receipt that says I paid the bill. But I have absolutely no service at all! I have a 10:00 am phone interview in the morning and I have no service! I got RIPPED off! He made me pay by cash because he said his PayPal was hacked and he can't take debit or credit cards. I called George, explained my needs, which included a new glass & battery for my Motorola Razr Maxx. He said he would take 50% deposit & order the glass, battery was in stock. I was charged 100% in advance despite the agreement. After 10 days of waiting for George to contact me, I called. He said the parts should arrive in a few days. On the 14th day after paying, I called him to discover the parts had arrived. I had to meet him on a Sunday, which I agreed. Upon arrival, I had to remind them (a lady did the actual repairs) that they were to replace the battery. He claimed that he did not charge me for the battery & had to charge more to cover it. I said fine. The repairs were made & it looked good for up to 1 day. The next day the phone went dead after about 6 hours of use. I called George & asked about the battery. He said he thought the one they put in my phone was good, but he could be wrong. I asked him to order another battery to replace the defective one they put in & he agreed. Meanwhile the glass came loose & was dangling. I called George again & schedule a re-visit to fix the glass again. That went OK for a few days. After 10 days I messaged George, asking about my replacement battery but he still hadn't received it. He said he may need to get one from another supplier. After a few more days, I let George know that I had ordered a replacement battery & that I would like him to simply install it once it arrived. He did not reply. The next day, the glass fell out again, but this time the phone went completely dead. I have almost nothing positive to say about my experience other than he was pleasant on the phone, but unfortunately will never go back again & cannot recommend George to anyone else based on my experience. read more
