The owner called me after diagnostics and said both the 16GB RAM and the motherboard were defective, noting that further testing would take several hours if I wanted it. I paid ~$175 for diagnostics and an SSD backup, which was unnecessary, as the shop's diagnosis was completely wrong. When I picked up the computer, the owner offered to recycle it on the spot. I declined. The computer was returned reassembled, so I couldn't immediately verify the components. At home, I discovered the original RAM was missing. I called the shop; a junior tech said the owner had done the work and promised a follow-up -- which never happened. To test the system, I installed a single 8GB RAM stick, and the computer POSTed and booted immediately, working perfectly. I then installed two 8GB Crucial RAM sticks, restoring full functionality. This directly contradicts the shop's claim that known-good RAM had been tested and the system would not boot. The only actual work performed was the SSD backup, which I was charged for but didn't need. Had I accepted the recycling suggestion, I would have lost a fully functional computer. I'm sharing this to help others make an informed decision. The shop's diagnosis and recommendation were wrong, and their guidance could have led to unnecessary disposal of a working machine. I've also noticed in other reviews that when customers raise complaints, the owner often cites how long the business has been operating and how many computers they've "fixed." That may sound impressive, but it doesn't address the actual problem and isn't evidence of competence. Specific issues should be addressed directly, not deflected with statistics.

    Phone Factory - Nice work

Edit: HARASSMENT! (With PROOF) This business is harassing me on social media because of my 1 star…read morereview! I attached a SCREEN RECORDING and screenshots for proof! This happened just hours after I posted the negative reviews on google and yelp. Account harassing me: IG username: marleneespacio Only following ONE PERSON... phone factory! Commenting heinous and disturbing messages under my IG photos! SCREEN GLITCH PROOF ATTACHED. Pay very close attention to the screen recordings. I slowed them wayyyy down so you can see how when I press a letter (which becomes dark upon pressing), and what pops up in the text box doesn't always match. What you press on my screen does not register and acts like you pressed somewhere else entirely, or duplicates your action. I also screen recorded the capcut editing app unable to function and scroll, rather spastically twitches and becomes unresponsive to my touch. These are just examples of what I'm experiencing with my phone screen as a whole. Original Review: Dishonest, scammer business. I had a terrible experience here. I came in with a cracked iPhone screen and was offered a $150 aftermarket screen replacement. After the replacement, the phone screen seemed to work fine initially, but later that afternoon my phone started glitching--bright fuzzy screen flashes, lagging, texting and scrolling issues and unresponsive apps. It became nearly unusable off and on. My entire life and career is in my phone, being that I'm a content creator and commercial realtor. It has made my work extremely difficult and frustrating. I purchased on a Saturday, Sunday they were closed, and I called them Monday to address the issue. Phone Factory acted angry and defensive with me (and even YELLED), like I have an ulterior motive and am causing them problems although I benefit NOTHING from returning a defective phone screen?? I still have to purchase a new screen..... it's not my fault the phone screen is defective... this is basic customer service. I was told there was a 30-day warranty on my purchased screen at time of purchase, but when I called, Sam lied to me and told me there was only a 2-day warranty and I couldn't bring it in although I was originally told 30 days. Then the manager later confirmed it was a 30 day warranty after all. I wanted to email screen recording proof of the glitching to the manager, but he refused and said I had to come in person. I explained to him it's a 2-hour drive round trip and I rather not drive all the way out there to show him screen recordings unless we also reach an agreement so I can also switch the screen if I'm to drive all the way there. I felt he was making it unnecessarily difficult. They offered to apply the $150 toward an original Apple screen, but refused any kind of exchange, return, or warranty on the new screen. I felt uncomfortable purchasing another phone screen from them without an exchange or return warranty after I already purchased a defective phone screen from them and have been treated cruelly over a PHONE SCREEN. I said, "I must have an exchange or return option on the new Apple screen, which shouldn't be a problem since it will be a quality screen, right?" He refused. Now, I have to eat the $150 I spent on this after-market screen and go pay full price for a new Apple screen because I won't buy another phone screen without a warranty from this business. I'm completely disappointed by the lack of transparency, poor product quality, and customer service. Save your money and go somewhere reputable. I now have to pay even more to fix what they messed up. There is good reason why they don't get much business. Don't risk it. If you have any issues they will treat you terribly.

OMG, I CANNOT STATE ENOUGH what a gem this guy and his business is!!!…read more Dummy me dropped my phone today, no visible damage except for a crack in the backplate, but it worked fine. By 10pm I noticed that the phone wouldn't charge anymore, not through wire, not through wireless charging. I am a business owner and I need my phone all the time, so I was pretty freaked out. We looked around and found this guy, iDriveToYouFixIt, apparently open until 11pm. On a FRIDAY NIGHT, at 10.30pm, this guy drove across two neighborhoods to meet me at my house. Grabs my phone and goes to his car, opens and diagnoses it on the spot, comes back and let's me know that just a little contact to the battery had fallen off. Not a broken battery or charging port or anything worse as I feared, but just this little thing. So he goes and fixes that right there, clears out some gunk around the front camera (that had apparently built up from a previous front glass repair at a crappy repair shop), cleans up the charging port while he's at it, and replaces the back plate with a brand new one, all within 45 minutes - and hands me back a fully functioning, in fact improved phone and then charges Uber Reasonably!! Instant fat tip, instant mega appreciation, and 5 star review. I couldn't tip as much as I wanted but trust me, I'll leave 5 star reviews everywhere and drum up his business as much as I can and make all my friends and family use his service, he deserves it. What an amazing service. And on top of it all - he is THE NICEST GUY! Friendly, kind, humble, and moreover, super competent. I cannot praise him enough. So far the man has helped me fix an 81' 23 inch Zenith console TV (by repairing the 9-160 board), and also a 1980 Zenith "Integrated Stereo" system. Literally every other shop and tech in a 50 mile radius had turned me down (for the last 10 years or so) on these specific devices - BUT Victor took a chance, and said basically "Eh, 50/50, I try... I love the weird old stuff." Well, the dude knows his stuff (weird, old or indifferent), and he didn't just try, he went far and beyond what any normal person hoping for a quick buck would do - and honestly, even IF he hadn't fixed these 2 items, I'd still just be thankful the guy is around and still having a passion for fixing this stuff. He really knows the old school basics of capacitance, soldering, schematics, etc vs real life experience and diagnostic. In a nutshell, Unicorns ain't real, until you literally meet one. A++++.
