Awesome! Good variety and the hostess was awesome. Very knowledgeable and not pushing in selling you something you don't want. Very casual and friendly place.

The tasting room was crowded but the servers were on point and handled the crowd very well!

We stopped by this winery during the Wine & Chocolate Event, Feb. 13 & 14, 2016. This tasting room is located in a downtown/square area. Parking can be tough to find, especially during a busy event weekend. This tasting room serves several different types of wines, but today they primarily served Michael David wines. The reason I'm giving this place 5 stars is because of their service, which was outstanding! The tasting room was extremely full and they handled the crowd very well, and all with a smile on their faces!

Love this place. All the Michael David mines for tasting, by the glass or bottle. The gals working are great, always super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We especially love Jessie, Ashley, Erika and Dianne! I'm not sure if the offer the Freakshow beer here as they do at the winery but bonus if they do! They just brought back Friday music in the evening, love it! This is one of our favorite stops in downtown Lodi. Nice to stop here before dinner, a movie or to catch local music on Fridays!

next stop on my Lodi Wine Tasting tour.... I absolutely love the design and ambiance of this little spot. Snuggled next to fellow wine tasting rooms, my favorite cheese shop, eclectic antique stores and more is this open and airy brick and beam bar. A small sitting area by the front door and a few round tables toward the back invite you to kick back and enjoy a drink and some friendly conversation. On this chilly Sunday afternoon, we entered and approached the bar. The lone bartender was engaged in lively banter with 4 other guests which was easily deduced were regulars. She greeted us and explained the menu, to which only 2 of us decided to partake. We were on our second sample when the guys at the end of the bar began chanting for the bubbly. Turns out the gal next to us had wished to sample the champagne blanc de blanc but the bartender was hesitant to open a bottle just for one taste, so with a show of hands from all those at the bar, we were treated to a special off-menu sample. What a treat! That goes to show great friendly service. She was able to answer our questions about some samples and I ended up purchasing a very nice bottle of Incognito Blanc. Ambiance: warm and inviting Service: helpful and friendly Price: great value

Been here 4 or 5 times but never for a "wine tasting" per se. It's a cute little place but a bit cold. Selection of wines is ok. As the other reviews say the staff s very nice and offer water and wine samples. Best hummus I have had in a while! There is a table or two out front to people watch if you like. Great place to go if you just want to share a quiet drink with a friend and catch up!

    Two Bokisch wines
    Steve T.

I am not real happy with Cellardoor. Bokisch Wines on their web site direct you to CellarDoor to taste their wines. I went there and they only had two Bokisch Wines on the menu. That is not much of a tasting. On top of it, they were out of the white. They had another white open and offered to let me taste it and the red for free. That white was stale and oxidized, probably from being opened too long. I tasted a third wine, some Rhone that was not interesting, I left $5. I was unhappy and the only reason I'm giving them three stars is because they offered to let me taste the Bokisch red for free.

Wednesdays at 6:30, every two weeks. Four categories, ten questions per category. Grade another team's paper like school. We killed the blue movies category last week. Trivia master is def a movie guy. I would come back for this trivia format, yes. This was also a good spot to watch the niner game a few weeks back. Back when we were winning. Sigh. Reminds me of midtown with the jankiness but I may just be prior-homesick. I wandered into a nearby storeroom for tp one night but there was ? more tp inside the b room that I missed. Oops.

The ingredients were fresh, and watching the pizzas come together right in front of us in a mobile wood-burning oven made the experience even better. We enjoyed a Hawaiian pizza that had a little kick thanks to a sweet chili sauce--sweet, savory, and just the right amount of heat. We also tried an off-menu standout: a fig and prosciutto pizza finished with fresh greens and a beautiful balsamic drizzle--absolutely incredible. On top of the amazing food, the owners, Teresa McCord and Ryan McCord, were so sweet and genuinely customer-focused, which made the experience even more memorable. We paired the evening with wine tasting and ended up picking up a bottle for the owners of Lodi Fired Up Pizza, along with a bottle of Barbera to take home for ourselves. Such delicious wines all around. Beautiful patio and tasting room! All of this took place at Jeremy Wine Company in Lockeford. Even with a bit of wind, everyone was raving about the pizza pop-up. Now was a good as time as any! As we entered, there was a sign to meet at the bar for seating. The waitress/server came out after a bit of a wait and according to my friend, it's usually a longer wait time around lunch for someone to come out and seat you. I was recommended to try the pork schnitzel by my friend and it did not disappoint. I got my sandwich with a side salad. We also ordered the deviled eggs to share. My friend has never had the deviled eggs before and pleasantly surprised and delighted that the eggs were absolutely delicious. They're very smooth, eggs were cooked perfectly and the touch of bacon was just right. It does come with a small helping of mixed greens topped with pickled onions. The pork schnitzel was crispy & crunchy due to the breaded pork loin, came with pickled onions, slaw and the chipotle aioli sauce. The sauce does have a bit of a kick to it but it wasn't too spicy, well, at least for me. My salad was very good too. It was colorful and had an interestingly tangy dressing on it. It paired well with the sandwich. One was spicy and the salad was tangy but refreshing. My friend also ordered the pork schnitzel with beef tallow fries. I tried some of her fries and they were thin but still crispy. Overall the food at West Oak Nosh was so good and delicious! Service was good, prompt and our server was attentive despite being by herself. I think this place is great for the summer to have a drink and eat. Will have to come back for the drinks!

We made a brunch reservation for 11:30am, though we ended up ordering off the regular menu rather than brunch. That was the first odd note of the afternoon. Before the appetizers, they brought out focaccia with herbed butter, a nice alternative to the standard bread basket. The calamari appetizer with marinara and tartar sauce was fine, nothing memorable. My mom's eggplant parmesan arrived warm but not hot and cooled down quickly. The pizzas, a Funghi and a Margherita, were cooked well in the stone oven and were genuinely the best thing on the table, but they arrived warm and cooled down quickly, the same issue as my mom's eggplant parmesan. With the air conditioning blowing directly overhead, hot food didn't really stand a chance. The service is where things unraveled. When we were first seated, the manager came by and helped with my dad's walker, which was a nice touch. After that it went downhill. When my dad asked for something light, the waiter recommended the carbonara, a dish built on guanciale, grana, egg, and black pepper. That's not light by any definition. It's a basic gap in menu knowledge that does the guest a disservice. The menu also had salmon, ricotta toast, and eggs in purgatory. My dad also asked for red pepper flakes to go with his pizza and they took unusually long to arrive, so he had to flag down a different waiter to get them. The waiter noticed I was drinking my Bloody Mary slowly and offered a different version that actually tasted better. If there's a preferred version, lead with it. When I made eye contact to signal we were ready to pay, he acknowledged it but continued socializing with a coworker before finally coming over and taking my card, as if he was surprised we wanted to pay. When a customer is ready, they're ready. He took my card, asked if we wanted dessert, went to grab the dessert menu, then handed it back. Just hold onto the card. I'm paying with the same card regardless. Handing it back makes no sense. The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious, with a full bar, outdoor seating, a small store at the entrance, and a vegetable garden out front. It's a great setting. Dinner service might be a different experience, but on this visit the dining room wasn't particularly full, which made it more noticeable that the staff prioritized socializing over the guests in front of them. For the record, the suggested tip on the receipt started at 18%. On the way out, two hostesses stood by and did nothing while my parents, one of whom was on a walker, made their way to the door on their own. Getting the door is common courtesy for the elderly. Pietro's has the ingredients of a great restaurant. The space is beautiful, the stone oven pizza is genuinely good, and the brunch menu has real potential. But a restaurant is only as good as its execution, and right now the service and the food temperatures are letting the kitchen down. They just need to meet it.

The winery grounds are stunning, with plenty of seating areas to relax, enjoy wine, and take in the scenery. Everything is thoughtfully designed so you can spend the entire day there without needing to leave. The bakery selection was a highlight. They had an impressive variety, from full-size pies to single slices, along with cookies and brownies. The apricot items stood out during our visit, and the chocolate chip cookies and brownies were especially delicious. The persimmon cookie was unique and unforgettable. For food, a barbecue food truck was catering the pickup party. The burger they served was fantastic, and the brisket was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It came with a really good potato salad and fresh watermelon that paired perfectly with the winery's reds. Our favorite wine of the day was the Earthquake red--bold, rich, and perfect with the heavier foods. There was also live music, perfect weather, and a very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
