Twin Leaf is one of my favorite breweries in Asheville. It's conveniently located mid-way down the South Slope directly across from Funkatorium. Friendly servers with good recommendations. Their beers are some of the most drinkable in Asheville, and the Cerveza is especially good. The inside-outside atmosphere is clean, relaxed and inviting, making it a great spot to hang out for a while and try a few different beers. Overall, definitely worth visiting if you're exploring breweries. read more

Kept walking past here for almost a month without stopping in as it always looked empty and we were always headed somewhere else. Not a lot of locals recommended this place but we decided to give it a try. Very nice bartender and let us try a few samples and chatted awhile after it quieted down. We must be missing something, because we really didn't get the hype that this place seems to be getting. The beers were all very average. I actually had a hard time distinguishing between some of them. They weren't undrinkable, but just couldn't understand how some people were so excited about what they had here. We also came here after being at Burial, which is one of the BEST breweries I've ever been to. So maybe it's just not as good by comparison? We tend to love IPAs, and maybe Twin Leaf just isn't a solid IPA brewery? I'd recommend giving it a try, because maybe it's just us... but there's also a lot of other outstanding options just down the street! read more

This is a must stop when you're in Asheville. They have a ton of unique brews on tap, great service, and good ambiance inside. We tried a rosemary IPA and a chocolate marshmallow sour. Both strange combinations that were so good. Many other brews on tap piqued our interest, but we ended up getting a bottle of a Mexican stout to go. Looking forward to trying that soon! read more

How can you choose a brewery when Asheville has 4 on every block?? You follow the music! Twin Leaf is a large brewery and takes up most of the block. They were celebrating 10 years and had rotating live music spill into the streets! The staff and patrons were friendly and having a good time. Dogs and kids are both welcome here! Twin Lead beers are like no other! It's rare that I like all 5 beers in a flight but I loved them! Rosemary, rose petals, chocolate, were just a few notes in each of the beers that shocked me in the best way possible. I cannot wait to come back! read more

Bartender was very nice. Both the Games With Friends and Mass Extinction were really good. GWF is a quintessential Belgium summer wit beer. Loved the hint of tartness from the tangerine. Mass Extinction has A LOT going on in one beer. But if you like complex dark beers, you'll really enjoy this one. Pretty typical dark, moody space inside the brewery, but it was a gorgeous summer day so the outside area was very nice. read more

Quick rundown: Great staff. Good COVID protocol. Ok beer. Bit longer rundown: Having a line with spaced out waiting spots is nice, you just need to have customers who will follow the rules... The outdoor space is super lovely and inviting, and they had numbered tables and directed you where to sit, in order to maintain distance. Like I said, ok beer. Not memorable...I honestly don't recall anything specific about what I ordered. We stopped here on St Patrick's Day as we saw they had live music and it was a great time. The only thing is they had 1-2 bartenders and had to wait a super long time just to get a beer. I would recommend on holidays that they get more staff if possible. They have a very large venue and the live music accoustics were great and we were able to grab a table right by the musician. They have 4 restrooms for any gender and a great patio out back to hang out. Seemed like the younger crowd was more outside and older crowd inside. read more

Surprisingly quiet spot on a Friday night, we were able to find a good seat and take our time ordering. Plenty of variety of drafts, they even have a tasty Kombucha (alcoholic.) The bartender was helpful and friendly. A bonus is that each table has a QR code to order from the restaurant next door and they'll bring it straight to you! I recommend the vegetarian arepa. I stopped by here this past Tuesday with my wife for some afternoon drinks. Due to COVID-19, there wasn't any indoor seating but they had a clearly marked off process where you ordered your beer inside, received it and then proceeded to your assigned table outside. All of the tables were clearly marked with a number and had umbrellas on them to give the people using them shade. For my drinks on this day I decided to go with an 8 oz Base-10 IPA and then an Imperial Russian Stout as well. I started out with the Base-10 which a nice IPA that was hoppy from start to finish without being overpowering. After I had finished with that I started in on the Imperial Russian Stout which started off with a bit of Carmel flavor before finishing with some smokiness. It weighs in at 8.4% ABV but certainly doesn't taste like it. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. I enjoyed both of the beers that I tried here and was also pleased with one of their Gose's which I had earlier in the day. read more

I know there are a LOT of breweries in Asheville...but you NEED to go here. The beers are SOLID, there is a great variety of styles every time we go, they are taking wonderful measures to keep you safe in times of COVID, the merch is cool, and the staff is really nice. 'Nuf said. We swung through in mid-August and got there pretty close to opening time, so our wait was minimal and we were able to snag a table outside. All of the styles our table had were really good and true to style. We have also visited this brewery during non-covid times, and had a blast - playing ping pong, etc. They are also DOG friendly - so that is a plus! read more

We were there on open mic night which was...definitely interesting, but it certainly pulled in a large crowd who seemed to be enjoying it. I'd been fortunate enough to find some of their beers at Lowes Foods previously, now I'm happy to have discovered more on draft. This place was such a fantastic find and I'm so glad I came in when I did on a slow and cozy Sunday afternoon. First off, I love the ambiance here. It's very open and the wood decor gives it a cozy, rustic feel. Secondly, they have a really unique and inspired beer selection with various styles and variations. I like that they offer a flight option so you can sample beers before you commit to one. They make an excellent Tripel and their coffee Point of Consciousness coffee variation was my fav! The bartender I had was amazing (I wish I could remember his name, but I am pretty bad with names the first time out), super informative, attentive, and just nice! We found ourselves happy to just sit and hang out at the bar and stayed longer than we originally planned to. The service was great and they have games to keep you entertained. Twin Leaf tends to get overlooked on the Coxe/Buxton Loop of the South Slope when you have breweries such as Burial, Funkatorium, and Green Man in the same area. But make no mistake, they have a fantastic taproom with some very good brewed beers. Located on the corner of Coxe and Banks in a vast warehouse space, Twin Leaf can accommodate a large amount of patrons in their polished wood taproom. As you enter, there's an area to play Jenga, which there was such a game being played that lasted for most of the duration I was there; and caught the attention of most of the people who were enjoying beers in the main room. When you enter the main part of the taproom, there plants nestled on top of partition from my recollection, as well as hanging in different parts. The production part of the brewery is to your right, partitioned off from the taproom, while on the far left there is a table tennis table next to swag area. There is plenty of tables and seating in the taproom, although I was told on Saturday it does get crowded. Being on my own, I went to the bar counter and ordered a flight. The highights were the Fleurs Du Soleil Saison and the Beorn's Slumber Brown Ale. The ambiance and vibes were very enjoyable as I tasted the beer. A lot of chill and down-to-earth people who like to hang out an have a pint or two, play a little foosball or ping pong, maybe a board game. I could easily see this being one of a hangout in my rotation if I ever decided to move to Asheville. The beertender were incredibly nice and knowlegeable, especially, when one of them took a moment to chat how my fight was going. She allowed me to sample the Beorn's Vacay that was velvety with the right balance of coconut and toffee, with caramel on the finish -- truly a magical burst of happiness, and, by far, my favorite beer of Twin Leaf that evening. Twin Leaf was a pleasant surprise after experiencing breweries such as Wicked Weed and Burial. I'll return for some bottles on my next trip up to the area. read more

Is goooooooood. My wife and I stopped by here with our two dogs. The staff was super welcoming to the dogs and even enjoyed our own presence. The beers are amazing with a wide variety. Twin Leaf was one of those breweries that I tried their beers and was like wow I can't decide which one to get because all of these are now my favorites. I ended up getting a flight which I think everyone should do at a new brewery...especially when their flights have five beers instead of four! My flight had the Rosela, Fleurs du Soleil, Nothing Gold Can Stay, Osterism and Uproot. They were all so light and refreshing despite some of the beers being 6-7%! Twin Leaf also had great games to play including a whole collection of board games, jumbo Jenga, shuffleboard. read more
