    Flank steak

Everything was delicious. It's a small space and great for a leisurely paced meal. The chickpea panisse, rigatoni and flank steak were all filled with complex flavors and incredibly well balanced. Service was friendly and relaxed.

    Spatzle

My husband and I visited Cello for our second wedding anniversary. The owners knew that we were celebrating and helped to make us feel extra special. We started dinner with a bottle of bubbly and the cheese board that had a delicious jam. Highly recommend the Spatzle, this was one of my favorite meals I had in Lennox over 5 days of vacationing. We brought a bottle of wine from our collection and paid a corkage fee of $25, worth it.

Hanger steak with golden beet puree, king trumpet mushroom and bone marrow butter

Fine dining par excellence in the heart of Lenox! Very creative dishes with the menu changing daily. Focus is on flavor, not quantity so sharing a number of plates between people is a great way to taste them all. The hanger stake was cooked to absolute perfection - rare as requested and tasted divine with the bone marrow butter. The Earl Grey Creme Brulee had a delicious tea flavor infused that worked perfectly with the compote and granola. Service is very professional. A reservation is a must as seating is limited and quite tightly packed.

    Peach salad

Had the pleasure of dining at Cello 8/9. Started with the cornbread with maple butter, which was delightful and had the perfect texture. Next, I had the peach salad, which was a perfect marriage of flavors and texture. I am already wondering when I can eat this salad again as it was that good. I rounded out with the pork chop; the brine led to the most immaculate pork chop I've eaten. I also really enjoyed that it was paired with a curry sauce and fresh beets. Overall, Cello provided warm ambiance, incredible food that shined from the freshness and craft of the chefs, and an unbeatable experience. Can't wait dine here again!

Lenox has some really cool spots and Ombra is one of them. Recommended by a local, we stopped here on Valentine's Day after our dinner for a nice glass of wine. The place was crowded but luckily a few people were leaving so we scored some seats at the bar. I ordered a glass of Nebbiolo from Italy which was good. My husband had a beer. The place is so cute and very romantic with dim lights, a great wine selection and their food looked so good. Unfortunately, we were so full that we did not end up ordering anything. Although, the french fries were calling my name. Ombra is a place that I could see us coming to almost every week and not getting tired of it. We met a local who is very nice and told us how Ombra is very popular. I think we will have to come back in the spring/summer to get those french fries :) If you are ever in Lenox definitely make your way to Ombra for a nice glass of wine or try a cocktail. This is the perfect date night spot for sure whether you start or end your evening here, you will be happy! Cheers~

Our food fell on it's face. We went based on a personal recommendation and backed by YELP reviews. This was my first big disappointment on YELP. We ordered bruschetta and meatballs for apps. Bruschetta was a bit too charred but ok. Meatballs arrived.... Gray balls sitting on ricotta and oil with an herb and shallot crumble. Meatballs were meh and topping was bitter like burnt garlic and onion. Table bread, delicious. Beverages, delicious. Entrees we were split 50/50. Eggplant parm was very tasty and red sauce tasted fresh and well seasoned. My chicken marsala with creamy polenta was very disappointing. Instead of marsala forward it tasted of mushroom gravy, chicken dry with hard edges and polenta you could cut and chase chunks around the plate. Not a bit like polenta should be. Dessert was warm ricotta cake with gelato. Gelato was essential to this dessert as the lemon sauce was so intensely tart and sour it was near inedible without some buffering by the gelato. Value wise it would have been a fairly pricey meal by our standards even if the food was good. However price point is more palatable when the food is.

Probably the most authentic Italian meal I've had since Italy!…read more We arrived at 5 on the dot and were immediately seated and provided with water and warm bread and oil. It is a darkly lit restaurant but they have little lights on the tables that make reading the menu possible. We had the meatball appetizer- amazing texture and flavor and the ricotta cheese and fried scallions took it to the next level. Make sure to ask for extra bread to soak up all the oil and cheese! We split the Sicilian swordfish and the authentic blend of olives capers and tomatoes was divine!
