New owners and a new menu this season - a good start, but many kinks yet to be worked out. A good basic "pub food" menu for a family-targeted sit-down restaurant at a ski mountain (bar appetizers, burgers, soup, salads, etc.), but it seems like there aren't quite enough servers to handle the volume of customers on a busy ski day, and the kitchen timing needs work. Our family of 8 skied a few days after Christmas, and after we ordered our lunch, the wait for our (very basic!) order was very long (at least 25-30 minutes). Then when the food finally started being delivered, it arrived in "shifts" so that half our group ended up finishing their lunches before the other half had even received their orders. (First the chili in bread bowls was delivered, then 5 minutes later the burger orders were delivered, then 5 minutes after that, the deep-fried items arrived, etc...) We understand that off-season staffing in the Berkshires is a challenge, but it was disappointing not to be able to share lunch with each other at the same time, and the slow-down in everyone being able to eat delayed our return to the slopes as we'd wished. The food was more than adequate for what it is, and the upstairs space & view of the mountain are beautiful as always, but the service needs work. read more

Where to begin , we received a gift card and wanted to make sure it was accepted at the restaurant. We called in and was assured it was. Shocking plot twist ... it was not. The French onion soup was soggy and tasteless , the nachos and Mac and were good. The black diamond chicken was tiny and tasteless , we received a dry baked potato and carrots after being told it was paired with roasted potatoes and green beans. They did bring some green beans to correct the order but they were not edible. They tasted like propane oddly. The chicken sandwich was very dry with a visibly old and near rotten shriveled tomato. The French fries were good as were the beverages. Our waiter was great and incredibly understanding of our poor experience. After finding out that a staff member provided incorrect information and our gift card would not be honored the manager called her DM who informed her there was nothing they could do. We got 25% off the bill at the end of it all but even with that the food was not great. A couple items ordered weren't awful but it's not something I would return for. Super disappointed , I really wish we went to another place to dine. read more

We are visiting Lenox and Drifters popped up as a nice casual nearby spot. The food was really great; fresh, nothing was dry or overcooked... we tried the pulled pork sandwich, Caesar salad, and wings. My husband said the pulled pork was the best he's had in his life. I also got one of the menu cocktails (modified Manhattan) and it was very well-made and balanced. Our server was also very attentive, friendly, and did a great job. Well done team! read more

You wouldn't think a ski resort wolf have food this good...but lift Bistropub rocks! 5 star dinner was delicious. Great service too! Called ahead and did a reservation. Beautiful views of Bousquet's ski runs, excellent service and the best burger and fries I've had in many years.

I had the nachos and the hamburger the hamburger was fantastic! The nachos for me the white cheese was a bit to heavy which made the dish too heavy. The service was great. The dining room was casual so casual attire is okay. read more

Beautiful day. Friendly manager and great wait staff. Thank you. The quiche was huge and delicious. Fries and steak n cheese sandwich. Perfection. Unfortunately hash was nearly burnt and only but the staff and kitchen took upon themselves to deliver it a second d time. Second chances are a winner. After 3 fantastic experiences at this restaurant, we posted a glowing review and recommended it to many friends. Unfortunately, over the last 60 days the restaurant has gone downhill. The service is excruciatingly slow, we've heard from friends that the food presentation has gone from wonderful to poor and we are hearing from several that the menu is constantly changing making it difficult to return and have a "favorite dish". Decided to try it. Horrible. Service was extremely slow. I had a french dip type sandwich (not sure what they call it). It was advertised with caramelized onions with dipping sauce. It had no caramelized onions and the "dipping sauce" was lukewarm onion soup. My husband had a flatbread that was burned and dry. We will not be back. Continuously enjoyable. There's a young black haired woman who serves my wife and I bi weekly. She is always such a pleasure and engages with us in regular conversations. Always remembers things from the last conversation and jokes with us. She's always ready to recommend her favorite food of the week, we haven't even glanced at the menu in a while. Second time we have dined here with friends. Second time as good as the first. I guess it was burger night. We all had different burgers and each said there's was great. Also had these odd shaped fries. Crunchy and really tasty. Drinks prior were outstanding. We sat on the outdoor deck overlooking the mountain. Only negative was a large and noisy group that was holds a fundraiser. Did not affect us as we were outside. Will definitely be back. read more

The staff was undeniably respectful, kind and so helpful always walking around with a smile on their face! We even saw the head chef come out and talk to customer about the food while me and my husband were there and that was amazing! The friendly and attentive staff more than make up for decor that is a bit, er...sterile. Not many places to get brunch in the Berkshires, but not only does The Lift at Bousquet offer brunch, it does a great brunch!! The menu offers the familiar (Quiche, Belgian Waffle) AND the creative (Cuban Benedict - think Cuban sandwich with poached eggs and Hollandaise, and without the pickles!; Shrimp and Grits). Fans of Cuban Sandwiches, The Cuban Benedict sounded mouthwatering so we both had that (a first! We usually like to get two dishes and share. Looking forward to a return to sample the Shrimp and Grits!). Perfectly poached eggs and exquisite roasted pork under a generous stream of just the right texture, flawlessly smooth Hollandaise!. Bloody Mary's are made to your spice preference and were yummy. As if the food and drinks weren't enough, we sat on the outdoor deck where we were serenaded with LIVE music.
