Replaced the USB power jack in the bottom of my galaxy note 5. This is a pretty involved process, which required removing both front ND back screens as well as the battery and motherboard. Phone looks and works good as new. Saved me a few hundred bucks. read more

Went to CellSpot because the charging port on my Samsung 6 couldn't hold the charging cable or the headphone jack; it would just fall out. Anyway, I didn't want to purchase a charging pad; I wanted to be able to use the charging cable. After they looked at my phone, they discovered it was full of lint and didn't need a charging port repair. I thought the charging port needed to be replaced. They fixed it for FREE and sent me on my way when they could of fixed the problem I thought I had. I just stopped by today for a quick fix because the loud speaker on my Iphone went out. Got a quote by phone at Cellspot that it would be $50 to get this replaced. Ali (hope I spelled this right) was super helpful and great! He wanted to make sure I was getting a fair repair because my phone was fairly new. He used my serial number, looked it up online and found that I was still covered under warranty and that I could get a new phone replacement for free! So I broke my Galaxy S3's screen a little while ago, and after almost a year of putting up with it, I decided to bite the bullet and find a place to repair it. Lo and behold, I found CellSpot, with it's fantastic reviews and convenient location close to my work. I think the first thing you'll notice upon walking in, is the graveyard of broken screens they have on display. It's pretty funny, and had the additional benefit of comforting me that they seem to have quite a bit of experience. Unfortunately, I think I had a rare hiccup in their quality. First off, let me say that the customer experience was as good as the other reviewers have noted. The employees were very nice, respectful, and didn't try to tell (or sell) me any B.S. For customer experience alone, I give a 5/5. For the workmanship though? 3/5 unfortunately. The screen repair is almost perfectly done, but I can see some air bubbles(?) right between the new glass and the digitizer. On top of that, it's located in an area you can't ignore. It's an aggravating blemish, and gets even more noticeable the brighter the screen is. I'm hoping it'll go away on its own, but I intend to take it back if it doesn't. That wasn't actually the biggest problem though, since it's something that can ignore until its fixed. The real problem is that they got glue into my home button. It's not a little bit either. It's enough to affect how well you can press the button, as well as cause a bit of glue to gush out if I push down hard enough. It still functions and nothing's broken though, hence the score not being lower. I'm just glad I don't have heavily cracked glass any more. It's just annoying that it wasn't a perfect fix. All I have to say is THANK YOU!! Excellent customer service provided by the manager Ali, and everything took only 15 minutes to get my completely cracked screen fully repaired! They're located right off of Edinger and Parkway Loop in case any one's directions took them a roundabout way too. They also offer a 6 month warranty I believe, which is incredible because we all know these pesky iPhone's have a way of cracking all the time lol I will definitely be returning and recommending everyone to stop on by if they have any phone problems they need fixed. read more

Very positive experience at CellSpot - enough that it prompted me to write my first Yelp review. I contacted CS via the form on the website and received a very quick response regarding pricing for a new Lightning connector on my iPhone 5s, as it no longer was able to charge. The price was very fair - about what it would have cost me in just parts & tools to do the repair myself. When I showed up at the Tustin location to drop off my phone, the nice lady at CS asked me for more details - what happened, etc. -- and then rushed back to the work area. She quickly returned and plugged in my phone, showing that it was now able to charge. Turns out that all the phone needed was a cleaning of the Lightning connector port. CS easily could have taken my money and replaced the part as I thought was necessary - I was ready to fork out the cash and I would have left a blissful, pleased customer. Instead, CS fixed my phone right on the spot in just a few minutes, for FREE. I asked if I could pay at least something for the work done, but the lady refused, insisting that it was no charge. Wow -- now this is how you earn loyalty. Can't recommend this place enough! If your phone is broken, take it here. read more

My iPhone 6 slipped from the couch and landed on the metal base of my floor lamp, cracked the screen, damaged LCD, and It happens to be the night before I travel to NYC for business. Immediately I yelped for help and found this one, 5 miles away, opens at 8:30am, and I must have it fixed before 11am as I had a flight to catch! So I showed up the next morning around 9am, this guy (sorry I forgot his name) was very helpful, friendly, and repaired my phone in 15-20 minutes!!! I paid 150 for it because 120 for the crack screen and 30 for LCD, pretty much the average price anywhere you go (for a good job), so I think it was reasonably priced. Ofcourse I wouldn't want to break my phone again, but if it happens, yes I will go back to them. read more
