Alas, since it was midday and I was driving, I had a Diet Coke rather than a draft. It's a cute pub and there were a few people scattered about. I was torn between the Homemade Butter Chicken or Scruffy's Meatlovers Pizza (bacon, hot Italian sausage, ground beef, cheddar, mozzarella and tomato sauce). My server suggested the pizza. I love love love pizza so pizza it was. It was okay. It was really chunky with meat and there was lots of cheese ... so no complaints about the amount of condiments. The crust wasn't so great, though. The texture reminded me of a frozen pizza. When I'm in that area again, I'll stop in for a beer a meal.

The atmosphere is very nice, like a pub should be, with good service from the bartender, music the second night I was there, and some good conversation with a fellow traveler from London (Ontario). The odds are high that I'll be back. If you're looking for somewhere to burn all the delicious calories, my suggestions are the Niagara River Recreation Trail (from Fort Erie to Niagara-on-the-Lake) and the Niagara Gorge Hiking Trails. Three and a half out of five for Doc's matches. They burn well, and are a cool souvenir, but it's difficult to strike them on the side of the box. After a while, I asked the bartender about a table for two, and she informed me of the self-seating policy. Once I found a table (though one of the chairs was blocked by a pillar) we waited for another table to free up. After that, the experience improved. The waitress was attentive, and both drinks and food arrived quickly without much wait. The overall atmosphere was great, and the live music added to the experience.
