We came here to watch the finals! The place was absolutely packed and the energy was amazing. If you're looking for somewhere to watch a big sporting event, this is definitely a good choice. They have TVs all around the restaurant so no matter where you're sitting, you can still see the game really well. They also have pool tables and dart lanes, which are cool activities to keep you busy. One thing that surprised me was the $15 cover charge to get in for game day. I wasn't really expecting that, because they had no heads up on the reservation which I found odd. But considering how busy it was and how in demand the tables were, I guess it makes sense. Just something to keep in mind if you're planning to go for a big game. The atmosphere was definitely the highlight. It was loud, energetic, and everyone was really into the game. The service was good too. Our server was friendly and conversational. She was such a sweetheart and even moved our table so we could see the screen better. We had to wait a little for the food, but that's honestly expected when the restaurant is completely full. We got their wings and nachos to eat. Wings were decent we got their buffalo and the honey garlic. Both solid, didn't stand out much but their ranch was actually very yummy. The nachos on the other hand, DELICIOUS! Probably some of the best i've had at a pub. Very impressed! Super cheesy and full of so many toppings and sides, i'd literally come back just for them. Overall, cute spot! The fact that there is a skee-ball machine gives it an extra star. But, with 12 dollar pints, and a last call around 11:30, there are some other places in the area that are worth checking out. This is a well lit place with high tables, that is Irish in name only. But, again, if you have a few loonies and want to play skee-ball, you might just have a good time! ...But the skee-ball machine is too close to the wall, so you don't have proper range of motion. read more

Service at the bar was pretty awful, drinks were solid (although they didn't have a few things) and food was solid as well. The counter area was dirty and the bar just looked unkept but there wasn't a table open. It was really busy in there with a lot going on. We only stopped in to kill time while waiting for a table to open at a nearby spot! We had a hard time getting bartenders attention and check once we needed to leave but the bar itself looked so fun! I was underwhelmed. Food was meh. Though I confess here was my only experience with poutine, so for all I know it may have been a great example. It seemed that in the calls from Dublin they managed to tell these folks about only ONE Irish whiskey. And I'd never heard of it. Staff was very inattentive. First of all, amazing service! I had a great time at Dublin Calling, the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was lovely and perfect for a fun night out with friends. we ordered nachoes and they were the best I've had at a restauran - loaded with toppings and great flavor! weather your there to watch sports or just hangout you'll have a great time. Had a voucher for Foodora and found this place to be highly rated. Did a pick-up order and noticed there were some recreation options at the establishment including darts, billiards, and some sort of arcade machine. Tried their classic Dublin burger, fish and chips, shepherd bites, and a pound of wings. Food in general is pretty good. Wings, however are excellent. The way they make it so that meat is juicy and the batter is soft and crunchy was quite delectable. According to their website, they run daily/weekly game tournaments with $100 gift card rewards up for grabs. Might be interesting to check out. read more

Yesterday I made my 1st visit to Dublin Calling with a friend in order to partake in their M-F 3 - 6 pm $3.50 pint of Guinness deal. We arrived shortly after 5:30 pm at which time it was fairly barren inside the venue despite it being Fri. and a great day weather-wise. By about 6 pm considerably more people had arrived and it was packed by the time we left around 6:30. Despite the increasingly crowded conditions, we had pretty prompt service (we were seated at a booth by the window) and our server was quite friendly too. The venue not surprisingly has a pretty strong Irish theme in their colour scheme/décor and there is a separate darts room, pool tables and other games in a raised section and big screen TVs for watching sports and news, etc. throughout. As the venue is pretty close to where I work I'll doubtless be making a return visit(s) to indulge in their really great Guinness deal. Neither my friend nor I ordered anything to eat during our visit but we did check their menu fairly thoroughly and they offer a broad range of typical pub food. My friend and I noted that as is increasingly typical of restaurants/bars, they have somewhat higher food prices to pay for their drinks deals, but being in a central Downtown location is also a factor in their food prices. If you like Guinness (a very healthy beer) I recommend stopping by when their deal for this beer is offered if you're in the area. read more

What do you do when you want to see Liverpool play midday during the biggest snowstorm of the year and you're at the aquarium? You look to Google maps and find the nearest Irish pub! That's seriously how we ended up here and I'm glad we did! It's a large space with a large bar area. They have darts, pool, arcade games, and a plethora of large televisions to show all the games! The bar tender was super friendly and accommodating (as in, we didn't want to watch Man U, we wanted Liverpool). I was starving so I ordered the Shepherd's Pie Bits off the app menu. What you get is two rather large (somewhere between a baseball and a softball) deep fried Shepherd's pies. Delicious! And filling. Beer selection was good, too. I'm on Untappd so my goal was to up my Great White North badge as many levels as I could in 7 days. (I started at 1, by the end I was at 8) Dublin Calling provided a few check-ins to that end. read more

It's a dive bar. Think Croc Rock without all the people. The place was empty on a Fri night from 7 - 9pm. Who knows, maybe the place gets live later in the evening. This place is great! We were able to reserve a table at 5pm during the NBA playoffs for the night of! Super clutch. This was one of the only locations still available to do that. And for those that weren't able to reserve, they had plenty of standing room available for the fans. Our server was Emily, ask for her, she is the best!!! The place was full and lit and she was just bouncing around and making sure all her tables were served. Also the food was good. We had the Irish nachos, and lots of pitchers and shots. Oh it's bad... I went here for trivia night and it was packed, had terrible food and was hilariously understaffed - maybe 4 people working the front with over 100 patrons in the pub. It took 30 minutes to get a beer and you had to stalk one of the employees to get any service at all. I feel for them, but the place sucks. And it's not super cheap either, so I don't really know if I get it. I would suggest going anywhere else really. read more

However, our waitress Alaine (I think that was her name) was so awesome and just so attentive. She really went out of her way to go the extra mile. We were visiting Toronto for a few days for a convention and were looking for something different and Canadian. The place we looked up ended up not being open so we found Dublin Calling. I am so glad the other place was closed because this place is awesome. Located upstairs you will walk into what in the states we call a sports bar. I felt like I was in Ireland! TVs all over so you can watch many different games depending on what team or sport you like. They have pool tables, darts, arcade games and more. The seating is perfect. The booth seating is up against the windows so you can view the town and walkers while eating. I always love doing that. Our waiter was awesome. He knew everything on the menu and recommended some great stuff! I had the Passion Fruit Mojito and it was delicious. Not too strong on the alcohol just right. The straws are a paper straw which is pretty cool too! I ordered the turkey club sandwich and it was really good. Not your normal turkey club you get from a small shop, it was speciality. We also ordered wings which were amazing! The music was great ! I felt like getting up & dancing. The also mentioned that the rooftop is open during the warmer days and then in the bottom of the restaurant they have bands play. Avoid. At best this is the kind of joint you end up at when nothing else has space and you all look at one another and think "well, at least we have a beer". Speaking of which, the beer selection is abysmal. Your typical lineup of Molson, Labatts and Bud. Nothing resembling taste and when we tried to order, a good handful of the selections were unavailable/sold out. We came looking for a decent chicken wing, so that's what we ordered. A pound of medium and a pound of intense (their spiciest). What we got was 7 wings for $16 and we couldn't tell the difference between the two. Both were way too hot to be medium, and nowhere near spicy enough to be "intense". A few carrots on the side. A terrible value for money, even if the wings were half decent (which they weren't). The rest of the menu was standard frozen bar food. Service was meh, and the atmosphere was a ton of tvs, which would have been cool if the game was on. Writing this as I grimace with stomach cramps and wonder what the hell I was thinking last night. Chance of going back? 3%. I'll have to be really drunk and a bunch of jerk friends would have to drag me in if you'll ever see me there again. Hard pass. read more

Great Irish bar we found walking the streets of Toronto in a snow storm. Wasn't busy at all. Quaint bar with a very friendly bar tender. Guinness was poured well. I had the pulled pork burger which was very tasty! Lots of TV screens mean this place would be a good venue to watch a game. If I'm still in Toronto for the Super Bowl I will most likely come here as I think it will be busy and on asking they already have 50 people booked for tables. One suggestion would be that they get a TouchTunes Jukebox. I like to be able to choose the music that's playing and the 80's hits that we're playing got a bit boring read more

We tried this place out as part of an evening celebrating a big birthday, after we couldn't get in at our first choice. It was such a great success, we're glad the other place was too full to take us. The food was terrific, the atmosphere fun and relaxed, and best of all the staff were super conscientious about one of our party's nut allergy. This place has the most dishonest staff. We arrived in this completely desolate bar on a Friday night at 7pm. The waitress convinced us to stay for a beer and said we could go up stairs to the rooftop patio called The Porch. Then when we got there they did it was a ten dollar cover.
