I am debating my review here but the disarray and dampness of the bathroom took this down a notch, as did the sticky floors and somewhat random service. Server was nice but not very attentive. Menu wasn't bad and food was ok but hard to tell what to get as the options didn't really seem to go together. Pub or fancy... in terms of meals (I suggest going with pub food). The wine was...drinkable. I didn't try anything else drink wise but I saw some cocktails that seemed neon in color in our group. They did have mocktails, so that's a plus. Overall I just felt that the spot was pretty dark and dreary and...sticky. I wouldn't seek this spot out unless I was really in the nearby area. We traveled about 30 min and I don't know that that was worth it. read more

I went on a weeknight evening and it was fairly empty. I ordered the chicken and stuffing sandwich + chips, which came pretty fast. However, I'm not sure if they were properly prepared because they were not really warm when they arrived and they were bland and barely had any flavour. I tried a bit of the deep fried mars bar dessert that my friend had ordered as well and found that it was just average. The service was decent enough, and the location has parking (a huge plus since this is Streetsville). I was expecting more because of the reviews I've seen, but maybe things have changed since the last reviews were written. read more

Very much reminiscent of a traditional Irish pub. The service is friendly. The drink selection was representative of a true Irish pub. The fish and chips were very good. Cheers! Cuchulainn's Irish Pub does have a great patio. A decent 16 draft selections that includes Flying Monkey's/Steam Whistle from the local brewery and a selections of Irish scotch and whiskys. The structure though is quite historical as it was built in 1832 as a wedding present for John Burnharts daughter, each of his children received a home but this is the only one that survived. It is one of the Historical Designated building in the Village of Streetsville. If you are in the area and feel like having a pint or 2, Cuchulainn's definitely worth the visit! read more

Came for a private business networking breakfast. Ideally located in lovely Streetsville. The owner is very friendly and the staff are friendly, helpful and go out of their way to please you. The breakfast included devilled eggs, muffins and fruit. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food and coffee. The place is clean and has a slightly elevated level as well as the main level. They hVe live music most nights and their patio is perfect in the warm weather. We have brought our staff for after hours snacks and beverages in the summer. read more

DO NOT VISIT. THE OWNER IS PLAIN RUDE. On Thursday August 15th my brother his girlfriend and I tried to visit Cuchulainn's Irish Pub in Streetsville at around 3:30pm. I Had my emotional support dog with me. We were greeted with hostility by one server right off the bat as we walked onto the patio from the sidewalk and was told dogs aren't allowed on the patio but I have my ADA support dog card and went to show it and before I could even show it I was told she needed a vest which I did not have. It's at home because I was at the office and wasnt planning on going anywhere but home but decided to go have something to eat with my brother and his girlfriend and didn't feel like driving home first to get it because my office is very close to the restaurant. Regardless, I wouldn't have put it on her anyways because it was 35 degrees with humidity so putting a vest on her with her long curly hair while she was already panting wouldn't be very responsible to do as a dog owner who loves and cares for their pet. Also there is no law that says a support dog needs to wear a vest to visit any establishment or even on airlines. It's just a recommendation for use as a visible aid for other people to know they are a support or service animal. As long as you have the proper documentation, which I have, that's is enough. So right away I felt like they were coming up with any excuse not to let us on the patio even though I had the proper documentation. Then another person came and I was actually able to show her my card and she said ok no problem and told us to sit anywhere we liked. We sat down around the corner where no one else was sitting and was immediately approached by Karen, who is apparently the owner, who was very rude, she didn't even say hi and immediately started saying the dog needs a vest or she can't stay, even when I showed her the card. Then when I showed her the card she said she needed to have the documentation that goes along with the card which I told her I could get online no problem as the card is linked to her profile on the ADA website and took out my phone to do so but before I could even pull it up she looked at us and said "oh well I'll be kicking you out in 40 min anyways because we have a function". We had just sat down for 10 seconds before all of this happened. No asking if we were just here for drinks or anything. Regardless of what the issue was with us having a dog, I can't believe that is how this Karen person would speak to her customers. I've never been treated like that or been spoken to like that at any restaurant before. She spoke to us like we were degenerates. Her body language and her tone and how she came across immediately made me feel like I was some sort of criminal. It's funny how Cuchulainn's Irish Pubs slogan on their website says EMJOY THE WARMTH OF IRELAND because we certainly didn't feel like we were welcome and there was zero warmth from the first server we encountered or from this Karen person. I guess she's got enough customers and didn't feel like she needed us at her establishment despite the patio being about 90% empty, which is fine with me as that was the first and last time I will ever go there and will obviously not be recommending it to anyone either. We ended up leaving without showing her the documentation she requested because at that point I had zero interest in giving this establishment and this woman any of my time, energy or my hard earned money after being spoken to that way. In the end we walked down the street to @ElMariachi where I showed them the ADA card and they had no problem allowing us to sit on the patio. The food and drinks and the hospitality are 1000% better there anyways. We had to walk past the pub about an hour later to get to our vehicles and there was still only about 8 people on the patio and the rest was still about 90% available which I have a picture of that's date and time stamped. I guess that was the event she said we would "be getting kicked out of" which turned out to be a lobster boil that you needed to buy a ticket online for to reserve a spot. If she was a smart business owner she should have asked us if we wanted to pay for the lobster boil since it didn't look like it was much of a success anyways but decided to treat us like garbage instead. Great way to deal with customers and totally illegal to not allow me or my support dog to stay by the way. I'd love to see her documentation that shows they are LEGALLY allowed to turn away a customer that has a valid support dog card with valid documentation to support it, because the dog doesn't have a vest. read more

Food here is standard. The beef dip had no flavor. The waitress was nice, but slow. The atmosphere outside is nice, but pay attention to your bill. Chicken strips are listed $13, but I was charged $14. The coke was listed as $2.50 and I was charged $3. She charged me for two. She didn't say I'd be charged for a refill. All-around bad practices for a restaurant. Plenty of other options in the area. read more

This was my old drinking hole in university. I have been going here for over 10 years and still make sure that I make a yearly stop here. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful. The drinks do change from time to time but they always have great beer available. I highly recommend the G Best wrap. It is the the best thing on the menu. If you are going to check this place out, go on a Tuesday for jam night. The local talent in Mississauga (Streetsville) is amazing and worth checking out. read more

This place is fine, nothing really to write home about, but not bad either. The waitresses and the bartenders here are always amazing - I get the best service from them! They're super nice, quick, and witty, and it definitely makes the experience better. The food is pretty good as well, though their menu is small so I wouldn't recommend coming here if you need a bunch of options. The inside of the pub has definitely seen better times, especially in the past year or two, and I find that the bathrooms sometimes smell a little... off. It's definitely a community based bar, so you'll find a lot of locals spend their time in here, as well as the British/Irish folk. Was there twice over the weekend, once for just drinks on the Saturday (slammed, busy bar, which is a bit hard to get service at but hey that's that point of a Saturday night right? Plus Karoke is fun if it's good, and funnier if it's bad! Second time and really what this is rated on was for an event on a Sunday night, excellent service (no easy feat when splitting bills among people who walk around and don't stay still!) and the food was fantastic. Obviously this was more nibbles than a meal but everything was well presented, tasty and would want more another time. Great selection of apps to be tried here for sure! For me, "Streetsville's only authentic Irish pub" turned out to be a disappointment. Their "Burn Your Head Off" wing suicide sauce was anything but that, and frankly, they were some of the scrawniest, dry, most overcooked wings I may have ever had. However, the rest of their menu looks interesting and diverse enough that I still think it's worth another look. Not too many places offer lamb burgers, pulled beef sandwiches in Guiness BBQ sauce, or Newfoundland-style "CDG" chips. The decor is relaxed, the patio overlooks trendy Streetsville, and the plate service was classy. Their late afternoon "Poverty Pints" events offer on-tap lagers at less than four bucks, and open mic nights happen at least once a week. Plus, thank God, it's a family-run business and not yet another franchise chain. That scores big points in my world, lad. I just won't order their wings again. Ever. read more

The aesthetic appeal of this spot from the outside is something to be envied by other bars and establishments in Streetsville. Cuchulainn's has a great out door patio, open late even on early week summer nights. Not to be picky but the inside I found to not match the exterior. Yes it was classically pub-like but I feel a face lift is in order as this place is starting to look a tiny bit run down - however i believe its part of the appeal, and I liked it. With 16 beers on tap I didn't honestly come here for the design or the patio (although I will reiterate that the patio is amazingly chill) I came for the brews. After hearing our bar maids run down of their on tap selection I decided on a pint of something new - a pint of Hoptical Illusion (yes that is the beers name). And the name did not disappoint, it was truly Hoppy indeed. In fact I would go as far as to say that it was the H-optimus Prime of hopped up beers in my hopper of beers I've tried..... HOP. It was an excellent brew and I surprisingly loved the tart complex taste (reminded me of an IPA I had while in San Francisco). I didn't partake in their menu due to the late hour, but the brew has enticed me to return for another spell here and perhaps maybe nosh on a little something nice while I work my way through their selection. read more

This is a great little Irish Pub. We went in for a drink after dinner. The place was busy round 9:30 but by the time the live band came on it was jammed. Pretty much just what you'd want from an Irish pub. Good drink selection, with a few house cocktails, and a good mix of pub food which seems unique and homemade. I had the guiness pull (sandwich with pulled beef in Guiness BBQ sauce) which was great, not only because it was basically a sandwich on garlic bread! I also had the sweet shop for dessert which was a deep fried mars bar with ice cream. I would probably go back just for that. It was worth every calorie. The waitress said the menu on the back of the drink menu is their seasonal menu which changes all the time, so that's pretty cool and atypical of pub food. Extremely rude and unwelcoming, when 6 of us went in they all looked at us as if we were from another planet, because we were not regulars we didn't feel wanted, would never step foot in that place in my lifetime, we used to go there when it was the Windsor Arms and the owners and staff were great, this is now an over priced and over rated run down dump. trust be there are much better real irish pubs than this fake one. read more

She described the pub as multi-level, it is not. It is one level with washrooms downstairs, there are no bar top tables. Cuchulainn's does not serve cheese sticks. I am not sure where she was, but it was not at Cuchulainn's. The food and the service are always good. I do take my family there to eat, many people do it is a very family friendly place in the afternoons and early evening. If you're looking for fine dining cuisine, there are other places you can go, but if you want good food in a fun relaxed atmosphere, check them out. Their hamburgers are hand made fresh, not something frozen from Costco. And they make some of the best home made soups I have ever had. I have never walked out without having had a good time, good service, and good food. read more

I go here for the crisps. I love the crisps and would recommend anyone to go there for them ! As for the rest of the menu it's really hit or miss... and sometimes the quality tastes low. I find the chicken wings look large and exciting but they are fatty and not very good... but last time I ordered the Dublin dip and it was great ! I finished with the "sweet shoppe" which is a deep fried Mars bar with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and crushed smarties. This is another big hit or miss... even though it's probably made the same way every time sometimes the batter has this spicy savoury taste to it.... like they are using the same batter for another item or someone messed up with seasoning that batch somehow . read more
