Very conveniently located. Breakfast every morning helped cut down expenses for at least one meal a day for our family. The kids loved the waffle bar, and my middle guy became quite the barista this trip. He loved running down and making my coffee every day! During our week stay they also made popcorn one of the days, shared pizza and had snacks available for us because I was a member. My kids enjoyed the pool and small arcade. They also had a small laundry room which was so helpful. Staff were so kind and accommodating. We loved our stay and cannot wait to visit again someday!

The staff is nice, the location is pretty accessible (it's just down the road from the Walmart), and it's pretty easy to get on to 88. One time I was here, I swear the heat was turned off in the lobby. It felt like it was literally 12 degrees. Not sure what happened that day. Anyway, they have breakfast service which is always really well maintained. The prices can really fluctuate depending on whether or not the Cooperstown Hall of Fame games are going on or if it's Parents' Week for the SUNY colleges. The spikes happen all the time; it's kind of crazy. Other than that, it's a solid hotel. Very consistent experience.

The view of the patio in the back is really nice. The fixtures and furnishings in the room aren't cheap, rickety and outdated, unlike what you would find at any of the big name lodgings nearby. The main thing that might bother some people is the train nearby. I did hear it at night while I was sleeping. However it wasn't bad enough to ruin my night's sleep. Pat and Sandy who own the inn are very friendly and helpful. Raquel, who maintains and operates the inn is very responsive and professional. Also they don't list prices on their website but they are on par with the rates in the area (all hotels have different rates for rooms, seasons, stay durations, etc.). You are getting a decent to good value for your money. Stay here instead of the other big name chains in the area or the unregulated Airbnbs that are always a gamble.

For the naysayers on here that worry about the money (yes, it does cost money) but if you worry about that then don't worry about coming here, no offense. If you go to hotel, they charge you for wi-fi at some places, lol. Once you are past the money part, the whole baseball experience is about the kids learning to bond with their teammates. It about the kids getting a chance to play with other teams from across the globe (we have played boys from Philly, Jersey, Cali)! There are life lessons for the boys here too. Learning to live on their own, learning to overcome adversity if things do not go their way or if the food is not exactly to their liking. Then the boys get to go to Cooperstown, NY and the Baseball Hall of Fame! Now, that place is SPECIAL. It may bring a grown man whom loves baseball to tears and a kid to joy to see their favorite player's picture or home-run ball. If your team gets a chance, grab it, and forget the money and grab the memories for you never know when something "may be the last". Player/Coaches Food: I stayed in the bunks with the team so to de-bunk some of the concerns from the parents' reviews of wait times and food quality. The first night was the only night for any waiting for food. All other times, I never had to wait for food. I would walk right up and start going through the lines. They serve food 6am-9/10pm (not sure what time they closed every night). I thought that since they were feeding over 1,000 people everyday that the food was not bad. However, the parents were getting stories from the picky kids that the food was gross lol. Some days it was better than others but overall it kept us fed, with a mix of proteins, carbs and veggies. Safety/Medical: Top Notch and respond quick. We had a few medical events for players and a parent and every-time, the medical staff was there within minutes. They were all super friendly and took excellent care of our team. Barracks/Bathroom/Showers: This was a tough job for the staff since the kids are lawless without their parents around. If they escape coaches eye for a minute they are doing dumb things. So, the bathrooms are messy and the bunks smell like locker rooms at times but no one really cares when you are on site since you are there playing baseball. The staff cleans it up every day but literally within minutes, it is wrecked again. So, go into the barracks with the mindset that it is like camping. It is not the Taj Mahal and don't expect a Grand Hyatt service. However, I did wake up in the middle of baseball heaven everyday and loved every minute we got to share it with the team. For when we got to look out on the diamonds with the rolling hills in the background, nothing else really matters. Enjoy!!

Our team recently spent the week at Cooperstown All Star Village. While the kids will always…read moreremember the magic of playing baseball here, the overall experience was a mixed bag, and there are some serious safety and facility issues management needs to address. The Good: The Fields & Resiliency: The baseball fields themselves were impeccably well-maintained. Even though we hit some severe summer storms, the grounds crew did a fantastic job managing the fields and ensuring the kids were able to get their games in. The Spectator Experience: As a fan, the covered bleachers were a lifesaver, and the view of the action on the fields was great. The concession stands offered good food and drinks, and the staff working them were incredibly friendly. We also had a wonderful experience at The Clubhouse restaurant--the staff there were exceptionally kind and accommodating to our group. The Bunks & Gear: A huge plus was that the player bunks actually had working air conditioning, which was a relief. The kids also loved the uniforms and hats, which they got to keep as great souvenirs. The Bad (The Daily Friction): Player Food: While the public restaurant and concessions were good, the actual food provided to the players and coaches in the village was not good at all. Bunk Security: The bunks do not lock. You are essentially operating on an honor system, leaving everyone at risk of having gear or personal items stolen. Disgusting Facilities: The bathrooms and showers were frankly gross. They were not properly cleaned or maintained throughout the week, which is unacceptable for the volume of people using them. The Infamous Hill: While they do operate golf carts to help people up and down the massive hill, the drivers whip through the complex with zero regard for pedestrians walking. The Ugly (Major Safety and Heat Concerns): The most frustrating part of the week was the complete lack of a plan for extreme weather. It was in the mid-90s the entire week, and there is virtually no shade throughout the entire park. There were no cooling stations, misting machines, or even basic fans in the dugouts for the kids. To make matters worse, they advertise that kids get water and Gatorade in the dugouts. We never saw a drop of Gatorade, and we had to constantly beg the staff just to bring water in 95-degree heat. When we did ask, the staff was incredibly rude and visibly annoyed by the request. Conversely, when the storms hit, there was absolutely no plan or designated indoor shelter for spectators to escape the downpours. The Absolute Breaking Point: The biggest issue, and the reason for the low rating, comes down to player safety. During our second game, our pitcher was hit in the head by a line drive. It took 40 minutes for an ambulance to finally arrive. He was taken to the hospital and admitted for a concussion and a possible brain bleed. For the entire rest of the week, not once did a single Cooperstown staff member or official check in on his condition, nor did anyone follow up to ensure he was medically cleared and not playing. Thankfully, we have an incredible coach who cares about player safety over winning and held him out, but if a team had a less responsible coach, that child could have easily been put back on the field. The absolute lack of concussion protocol, accountability, or basic human empathy from the organization regarding a critical head injury was completely unacceptable. Summary: Go for the baseball and the memories with your team, but prepare to be entirely self-sufficient when it comes to hydration, security, and medical safety. The organization really needs to re-evaluate its protocols.

However-- this is a company, or a single entity, that is not acting in good faith as far as consumers. All of the hotels in the Oneonta, New York area charge exhorbitant summer rates because they can (because they are near the Cooperstown Baseball Camps-Baseball Hall of Fame, and near a college and university having graduations and summer orientation). This summer, 2025, for a single chain hotel room the pre tax and fee rate is about $388 per night. So upstate New York you are spending about $1000 for two nights. If they would let you. It is almost impossible for an individual traveler to get a room ahead for the summer. Going on line you read "unavailable". Calling- They say they do not yet "have the rates" even when it is less than a year away you are trying to reserve a room for. I suspect they may be holding out for groups that rent the whole hotel for week long bloc stays, rather than allow a regular single traveler to reserve a room on line. So great hotel in Oneonta. in every way. Except for fair and respectful dealing with the individual summer traveler.

The hotel was spotless and there was reliable housekeeping daily. The layout of the room was perfect...plenty of room for your luggage. Our room had 2 queen beds and they were very comfortable. I love that the hotel had shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in the tub and hand wash and lotion dispensers on the sink. They were Dove products which was great. Despite the hotel being sold out, it was amazingly quiet. We even had the pool to ourselves one day. This hotel is not huge, which was a huge plus too. I would stay here again.

We had the suite and as soon as we walked into the room you can tell this hotel hasn't been taken care of in years & it has nothing to do with Covid. I had always seen this hotel in town and thought it was in a great location but it is deteriorating at a rapid rate. When I noticed the walls, floors and lamp shades all banged up I took a look at the bed sheets that were yellowed and full of stains. I was immediately ready to leave. The pictures and other reviews are completely misleading on the internet! This hotel also doesn't offer any type of grab and go breakfast when many other local hotels do despite the pandemic. No one expects a sit down buffet but to have nothing was strange especially when it has competing prices with the other local, well known hotels. So as soon as we saw this "luxury" suite we walked into, I was ready to leave however I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and the front desk clerk took us to another junior suite. There were even more stains all over the carpet and the bedsheets and bath towels. It was repulsive. I'd rather sleep in my car. If that's how this hotel runs... I can't imagine what you DONT see. This is unacceptable and unsanitary. If we can visibly see so many disgusting stains I can't even imagine what we CAN'T see! Whatever you do - don't stay here! It is totally run down and it looks like it's just being abused for college kids to party in. There were only 4 cars in the parking lot when we got there and that should have been my first sign something was off. Every other hotel is beautiful in town with full parking lots which should have been a clue. It's not like this hotel was that much cheaper than the rest as they are all within the same price ranges. Unfortunately this place needs a complete renovation and needs new ownership immediately because it's obvious it's being completely neglected. The heart of Oneonta deserves better. Thankfully I was able to make quick accommodations elsewhere for my husband and I this weekend.

We're right next to Jimmy-T's on a Friday. Now my parents will know how crazy Oneonta gets." Last year, when we came here for move in, there was complimentary breakfast as well as nice drinks in a huge glass jug. This year, none of that is a thing. I can't believe for $200 a night, there isn't breakfast. Even when there used to be breakfast, there were only 4 tables for patrons to eat at, which only fits 16 people max. There is an ice machine, but no water fountain or complimentary water bottles. There are many outlets and lights here and plenty of mirrors. There are both regular outlets as well as USB outlets, woohoo! This year's room has a jacuzzi, but no light on top of the jacuzzi. The television is a bit small. There's a bar here and a spa as well as a dining area in the lobby. The beds are clean and comfortable an come with many pillows. There is a mini fridge that isn't really cold inside. There is a coffee boiler, hair dryer, and ironing board. I wish there was a microwave. This room is perfect. The rooms that face main street aren't as great as the ones that face market street because the view is just crazy different. Market street views get to see the beautiful hills that surround Oneonta, whereas the Main st. views...you can just see crazy college kids at night. The air conditioning here works better than all the airbnb locations i've been to this summer. Bless you! One perk of this hotel is that is it on a Pokemon go stop! You can reach it from some rooms.
