    Midnight Munchies 2023
    Franklin M.

We made a pit stop for some late night munchies. We ordered three different burritos and they were all delicious. The only drawback on my carnitas burrito was that it had too much rice but other than that, very good flavor. They made an error by making a quesadilla filled with carne asada and mushroom and they gave it to us.

    Ripped dollar

Around 10:15 on a Sunday night I tried paying with a ripped but complete dollar but lady charging me at the moment did not want to accept it because it was ripped. I told her that every place accepts even it was ripped as long as it's attached and complete. She then proceeded to give me attitude and act smart and says to go to those places then. The food was honestly good but customer service was horrible!!! Won't be coming back ever again!

I always find myself coming back to this food truck for Cemita De Milanesa because they have pápalo, an essential ingredient for a delicious cemita. There's always people there ordering, from big families with kids to people who just got off of work. They continuously satisfy my craving for cemita every time I visit LA!

The best cemitas in LA. Estilo Puebla made with your choice of quesillo or queso fresco. The bread is delicious and they always make sure to toast it. They have mexican drinks like Boing. Food is prepared fast and the price is even better. They provide stools to sit and the truck has a standing table outside. Usually not to long of a wait if you wait at all.

Amazing flavor very original Cemitas tapioca this is very very famous in Puebla I've always wanted to try this since I went to Pueblo and visited Mexico it's an authentic flavor very original nobody else has is the chicken was amazing the Carna Sada was amazing fantastic place if you're in East LA check it out

The worst torta in Los Angeles. A complete fraud, nothing like the pictures on the truck.

The worst torta I ever had. Fresh but cold not toasted telera bun with one razor thin slice of Milanesa de res, shredded lettuce and minuscule slice of avocado $6. Cemitas Tepeaca always parked at the corner of Indiana and Cesar Chavez, always busy so I expected something much better.

    little baby fries

my spanish is not good, but i know when i'm being taken advantage of for looking like a white girl i got a cemita de pata, some fries and two sodas and the lady charged me $15. cemita - $6 sodas - probably $1 but maybe $2? so my fries were either $7 or $5 which is still kind of a lot for this small size. can't be too mad though, cause the cemitas are super good. ‍

FIRST....Sorry "Javier J." I know your "Elite" but.......I must correct you on one thing, Check your pictures the sign reads "CEMITAS TEPEACA". TEPEACA is a small pueblo in the State of PUEBLA, MEXICO!., http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tepeaca "TEPEYAC as you posted is a Hill located in "DF" Mexico City"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tepeyac The Sign SAYS: CEMITAS TEPEACA................................ Other than that your right on, I stopped by this truck for the first time while heading down Cesar Chavez, and ordered a couple of Carne Asada Tacos and a Cemita de Milanesa, unfortunately I was in a hurry and got it to go!. 2- Carne Asada Tacos $1.00 each were some of the BEST TACOS I have ever had meat wise, the only thing that could make these better would be good hand made tortillas, but since the tortillas tasted fine you can't knock them for this!, and the Red Salsa had a wonderful taste.http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/kIDgalv1GLK4j1arCXh9iA?select=Q2yeLCgksTNYEoZGMI6Z_A The Cemita de Milanesa $4.00, ( a cimita for those of you who are not familiar with is basically the same thing as a Torta!) the big difference is the type of bread "Cemita" is made with an egg bread and it has "Semillas" "Seeds" on top,...http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/kIDgalv1GLK4j1arCXh9iA?select=ZmZTtDhk4AcUHvkz6kpaew So I give them 5 Stars and can't wait to go back, I HIGHLY recommend you try this place out if you in the area. And remember "CEMITAS TEPEACA" as there are several trucks in the area! Don't fear the Truck, Carne Asada is NOT a crime!.......................

If you want some arguments on how your taco truck has more of a foundation than most of the stores around you, here's a little test. Google map the address it's normally located on and if you see it in the street view, you know they might as well put some plumbing sticking out of the road. Cemitas Tepeyac will be the future King Taco. I believe this is their second truck. The other is over on Whittier Blvd. and they have made the cinco puntos area their home for as long as I could remember. Huge neon sign that reads Cemitas Tepeyac. Cemitas.. if you've never eaten one, it's pretty much a sandwich that has taco meat in it. Sort of like a mix of Torta and a taco, but with a different bread. They're damn delicious and you can taste that here. The truck even has chairs set up and lights, so you don't even have to worry about the dark coming as you'll be well lit in that area while you enjoy your food. Considering I have been to many parties around the homes here, this is a nice late night treat when I'm walking.....er.. stumbling home. They also have tacos and burritos up for grabs if you're not feeling like trying something you've never heard of. They are also just as delicious. Remember, Mexican food is just about interchanging the same exact ingredients that are in everything. Meat, Cheese, Tortilla and Salsa. Their tacos are pretty good, but I would stick to what they're neon light says. I mean, they paid for it to say that for a reason, right?!

We waited patiently for about 10 minutes because we assumed he might be busy. Since he still didn't respond, we decided to just leave. What made the situation worse was that as soon as we stepped away, he immediately helped the person behind us. That felt very disrespectful, especially since we had been patient the whole time and were not rude at all. It's really disappointing because we actually love the tacos here. They're estilo Jalisco, which is where we're from, so we were excited to eat here. Unfortunately, the bad service alone was enough to ruin the experience. Very disappointing, and we won't be returning.

Their shrimp tacos are absolutely amazing with the right crunchiness and soft fried shrimp inside. The sauce that comes with these tacos are jam packed with flavor adding to the overall flavors/texture of the shrimp taco. Hurts to say it but this might be my new favorite shrimp taco in ELA/Boyle Heights area. The service here is quick and friendly. As mentioned by other Yelper(s), this taco trunk can be found parked in front of the LAC USC Medical Center building. In fact, I remember seeing more than 1 trucks available, but this white Buenos Tacos (easy to remember) truck is the only one that opens late and on the weekend. But please don't quote me on this. They offer tacos, quesadias, burritos, and tortas, but I am only interested in tacos usually. Regular tacos cost $1.25 each, while tacos de lengua cost $1.50 each. I recommend opting for regular ones, as you can get 4 for $5, no change, no mess. I am not even sure why lengua costs more, or if lengua actually tastes better. Shrug. I got cabeza and pastor to go. The cook was very speedy in cooking, and packed everything in foil for me to keep them warm. Limes was cut up and put in a separate bag for convenience. Both tasted very good! Now, if you cannot handle spicy, you may wanna let him know ahead of time, because after eating all 4, my eyes and nose were runny, and my oral cavity in general was burning. It's a delicious kinda burn, but I could do without it. I also enjoyed the toppings such as cilantro, onion, etc. Get everything on it. I didn't regret it at all for doing so! Specifically, cabeza was visibly more fatty but I liked it that way--it was super yummy. Pastor in comparison was drier, but still very well marinated. They tasted good enough, and were cheap enough, for me to come back and try for more. I'll update you guys if I ever buy their other options: azada, chorizo, pollo, and buche. (Btw, all spelling is per menu on the truck. Some look kinda funky, but I don't speak Spanish, so what do I know.)
