YOooo! 5 stars forsurrrrreee!!! First off, the packaging was excellent. Not one drip!! Presentation for the Quesadilla Frita caught my attention. It looked simple on Yelp, but sooo good? Lol I don't like fried food much. Somehow, I was convinced to get the fried quesadilla. It surpassed my expectations. Like I had a feeling it would be good, but I didn't think it would be this FRiGgin GOOD!! The corn tortilla was different from the reg tortilla. It was a bit thicker and a bit chewy. The beef was fresh and well seasoned. OMG, the cheese pull was unexpected. Everything was balanced. Yumm!! I like how they placed the grilled onions on the side. I don't like onions, but I dont mind some grilled onions here and there. The grilled onions added even more flavor to the quesadilla =) BOMB!! They also provided pickled onions and cucumbers on the side. There were 4 different types of sauces avail. For $10, I was surprised that it was all stuffed with beef inside. Chorizo was kind of wack, I wanted savory but it came out like almost sweet and weirdly soft ? My husband wasn't a fan either and he always orders chorizo when we get tacos or burritos . Great tacos. I got the asada, al pastor and chicharon. Al pastor was the one that was the best in my opinion, so order that one if you want to taste the best of these. But be diligent of the setting, some homeless people are around the taco spot and can cause a disturbance. read more

Great pastor. Lean and flavorful with a nice snappy aftertaste. The marinade is excellent. Not so much for the Asada. I thought it was a bit dry. The flautas are near perfect. Slathered with cream, cotilla and a pile of lettuce. An excellent choice. Their salsa choices are great too. read more

Oh...my....gosh.... I will forever remember Primos Tacos for being the food truck that has introduced me to pan-fried quesadilla. My sister and I stopped by after we completed a tour of Boyle Heights. At first, my sister was a little bit cautious since she's not such a fan of food trucks; however, when she noticed how long the line was at the truck in the middle of the night, she just told me to e-light it and she would order something. And that thing... was pan-fried quesadilla. Which will then lead to the night I will never forget. It was sooo crunchy and cheesy, but since they had chopped cabbage on top, it allowed a balance of flavor and temperature (since the chopped cabbage was chilled and complemented the hot fried quesadilla. And let me tell you, they do not skimp out on the cheese! My sister actually had to squeeze some out (which I gratefully ate for her). So you have the crunch-factor from the fried quesadilla and the cabbage but the gooey-ness of the melted cheese. One of the best combination of flavors... ever... in my life... late at night... while driving home (yes, I was able to eat it on the plate while driving behind the wheel). So worth it. read more

Street Tacos!! Ok for starters, they have a pretty great menu for a taco truck. With that said, you can choose from burritos, tacos, quesadillas, pambazos, taquitos, and much more. They serve agua de piña, horchata, and canned drinks. The salsa variety goes from two green ones, a red one, to guacamole. We ordered the asada burrito and 4 plain tacos. Umm, yes totally satisfied my craving for street tacos! The meat is fresh and tender. It could use a bit more of flavor but still great. The man who took our order was nice and took the time to explain the two diff chiles they make so definitely make sure you ask for the chile toreado with caramelized onions and the cucumbers with chile habanero. Sadly they only accept cash and you really don't know how much each plate costs but when they give you the total then you can calculate it. I first heard about this place through a friend and since I don't live too far I decided to try it and I'm so glad I did! The asada tacos are really good and tasty but a bit on the small size.
