They pack the cemita with every ingredient possible. Hands down 1 of the best tasting cemitas in ELA. 1 thing i would say needed improvement was the bread. I was craving a Cemita sandwich - I saw there was decent reviews so I went and got the milanesa de res with the works! It was HUGE. I eat a lot and couldn't finish this so you can definitely cut it in half and share (I was starving and couldn't finish it) It was really good! I asked for chipotle sauce and I wish they could've put more, it needed some more or maybe could've used some mayo - the veggies tasted fresh. I got this with a Jamaica and it surprised me my total was $20 for just those two things - felt it was kind of pricey but I guess that's the way it is these days. I think they could've toasted the bread a little better, the bread didn't taste as fresh as what's inside and that's important. The flavors were just in the right proportions making the whole experience enjoyable. I did not know this place existed; driving g from the west side, I yelped cemitas and pop there it was. Best cemita in all of LA hands down! The quality of the meats and the types of products they use are amazing. Here, they prepare the cemita with generous portions of meat, cheese (quesillo), chipotle and avocado that the portion ends up being bigger than the bread itself. The milanesa (breaded beef steak) is the classic but the carne árabe (shawarma) is my favorite. The carne árabe is seasoned well and it is not dry at all. They also offer tacos, burritos and quesadillas so options are plenty here. Now, the tricky thing about this place is the wait. The service here is amazing (the workers preparing the food are amazing, hard workers and ensure that each dish is prepared to your liking) but the wait time can take a while. If you get here early you'll probably have a limited wait. If you get here at peak time it'll probably be like an hour wait. So, be prepared to wait, or place your order, head down to coffee bean and grab a coffee and then come back, or bring some drinks and hang out by your car. Okay this place is sooo so good! First I'll start with the owner, man is he charismatic, always in a wonderful mood. He's so sweet and always taking pictures with people. He seems like a great guy. The yellow corn tortillas they have here are my favorite, they aren't thin and flimsy so they don't fall apart (unlike some other places). The portions are incredible! They put such a generous amount of meat and it's also flavored really well. I also appreciate the fact that unlike so many other taco stands you don't have like half of your taco meat be the fatty pieces. And the salsas! Oh man, they have delicious salsas to chose from, if you like spicy they don't mess around. They have a salsa that leaves your mouth on fire but in the best way. Good food at great value. Very authentic. Noticed a slight quality change in the carne asada. Used to be large chucks of meat, now it looks like a shredded meat and they serve less. Still a great place to eat, but quality has slightly decreased. Music is sometimes too loud and there is a lot of road noise. Atmosphere is not the best for those reasons. read more
