Location, came to Louisiana for a graduation, stayed in a neighbor town next to Hammond, found Cena online before arriving a made reservations. The restaurant was super cute, and intimate. Small but fierce. Food; started out with the Caprese, and it was fresh and melted in your mouth. I ordered one of the specials of the night, and did not regret it; I ordered the Halibut dish of the day, the sauce on the fish was a garlic goodness, the fish was cooked as ordered, this dish was soooo good. Service; Our server was so freindly and helpful, and hope he continues with school I believe he goes to the school within town.

Came here for anniversary dinner. I was unsure how it'd go at first bc the menu was very short but our food was SO good. There are also some options not on the menu that our server recited to us. The restaurant is much smaller than I anticipated. Service was 10/10, food was 10/10, overall was 10/10!! Would come here again. Not pictured: boudin balls which are a must try

Cena;Hammond is by far one of the best restaurants in the region. The ingredients, techniques, and attention to detail are outstanding. Service is friendly and welcoming, and you just feel at home and experience bits of nostalgia in each dish. The chef successfully prepares regional Italian cuisine with a unique blend of flavors from southeast Louisiana, with a creative twist, reimagining the classics that guests enjoy. Must visit

I've driven by this restaurant quite a few times and put it on the list for places to try and I'm glad that I did. This place is perfect for a date night or even a night out with friends. The food is also really good and I definitely enjoyed everything from the appetizer to dessert. If you're looking for an Italian restaurant then I would definitely recommend as I plan on returning myself!

Turtle soup was very flavorful according to my hubby. The crab claws were delicious. The peppardelle and paneed chicken were garlicky and fabulous. Hubby had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and raved about it. We will definitely be coming back here.

Very small place, so be sure to make a reservation! Amazing service and recommendations. All the food was very fresh and nicely plated. We left full and happy. Bonus - one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had!

Overall - the service was excellent and our entrees were tasty (Chicken Piccatta and Chicken Pappardelle). However, the 16$ crab finger appetizer with 8 fingers was actually kind of insulting. It was also extremely difficult to get the meat off the claw.

Oh my! This was the best steak every! A little pricey but worth every $44! This is a cute restaurant I would've never know was there if I wasn't looking for a new place to dine. I sat at the bar which was a few days before Valentine's Day. All the tables were reserved. The bartender was well informed about the specials of the day and made the perfect lemon drop for me! Everything was cooked to order. My date had the chicken pasta. The pasta had to be made there it was delicious also. I will be back!

What a cool place! The sign caught our attention. It said bar and packaged liquor. We had never…read morereally seen a sign like that so we decided to pop in and see what's up. There is a full bar. I was able to get the most delicious bloody mary while my husband had a crown and 7. There is a cool selection of liquor to browse. We bought a couple bottles that we had never seen before. The guy working seemed pretty knowledgable about the bottled liquor and was quick to answer any questions they had. He gave us prompt and courteous service. They also had a cooler with wines and a separate cooler that actually had some steaks and cheese. My husband and I joked about it being a one stop shop for Valentine's day! It did lose one star because it was a bit dusty in there. It could use a good cleaning.

Gorgeous wood bar, pictures and mementos behind the bar the regulars have given to them over their 75 years of operation, along with the nicest bartenders you'll ever meet. Decent beer selection, great wine and liquor selection, and a retail section up front with steaks and other items for gifts. My advice to you is to hit this place up on a Saturday afternoon, order your cocktail of choice then just observe the regulars sitting at the bar around you. The character of each of these people is often imitated but never quite duplicated and it makes this place unique and somewhere I'm proud to call home.

Although we specifically requested a table downstairs, we were instead seated upstairs in what appeared to be an attic-like space off in the corner. The area was poorly arranged, and above our table a hanging light bulb shone directly into our eyes creating an uncomfortable environment. We left this table and went to express our concerns to the hostess. There were plenty of open tables downstairs but she said they were reserved for 7pm when our reservation was for 6pm. My wife said we will just sit at the bar if we have to. We were then placed at a table in a hidden spot beside the fireplace. I say hidden because the lady refilling water forgot about us several times. In addition, portion sizes are small while prices are quite expensive resulting in a disappointing imbalance between cost and value. Dinner for two was $240 not including tip. $62 for a 6oz filet then up charge when asked for more bread!!!! The one redeeming aspect of the experience was our server, Devin, who provided excellent service--professional, attentive, and genuinely courteous. His efforts stood out in an otherwise unsatisfactory visit. He was assigned upstairs but took care of us at this downstairs table.

We, a family of 5 traveling from Kentucky to Galveston decided to stop overnight in Hammond. As soon as we arrived, our waitress immediately recognized the pent up energy of a 3 year old cooped up in a car seat for the last 8 hours. She immediately took his his order and had his dinner on the table quickly, occupying his busy hands. She recommended the spinach dip as appetizer with a fried pasta . It was gone in minutes! Great. She then recommended the special, pork loin, that my son devoured! Wife and daughter thoroughly enjoyed the crab cakes. I had trout with almandine sauce. First time eating trout but after eating this, I realized I have missed out! It was outstanding. I recommend everyone coming down I55 should stop and visit Hammond, a very nice small town with all the southern charm you can imagine and a great eating establishment. !

We got here around 8ish in the evening and it was raining so not many people here. So we propped up at the bar and ordered. I was in a martini mood so Gin martinis were my calling; they made them the way I like: slightly dirty w/ extra olives. I can't remember how many of those I ordered but they went down smooth. I didn't want to order anything heavy so I decided on the Brussels Sprouts and a cup of the Chicken/Andouille Gumbo. The Brussels were crispy and had a nice soy glaze to cap it off. They garnished it with some peeled scallions which gives a nice finish. I'm a sucker for Brussels Sprouts; if they're on the menu, I'm very likely gonna order them. The gumbo was pretty good, had a tomato richness to it. I forgot what my friend ordered; probably cause I had too many martinis. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from Hammond but it's worth it. Check it out when you're in the area!
