My first time to sit down in here. Counter service. Very friendly and professional crew. We enjoyed crawfish balls, seafood platter and also an Espresso Martini.

Dishwasher did an awesome job!!!! Very cute also wink wink smile smile. Hope he gets a pay raise! If he ain't making $100 an hour then I don't know what a kid has to do to make good money!

First time here and was delicious! Got the red beans special and it was so much food and very good. Not pictured is the side salad, we had balsamic vinaigrette and was one of the best we've tasted.

I was a regular at this establishment for over a year. Food is phenomenal (although it is slightly expensive for a "neighborhood" place - but that's par for the course these days). Alcoholic drinks are superb and flow freely. The selection of whiskey, bourbon and scotch is outstanding, if that's your thing. The staff is extremely friendly, very attentive, and will even do shots with you if you sit at the bar!! I've had almost everything on the menu and was never disappointed. The Frickel Burger (burger with fried pickles on top) and the BLT were always my favorites! Never a bad one! On Fridays they have seafood specials that range from Crawfish Monica (unbelievably delicious) to Grilled Redfish. The BBQ Shrimp entree is also a fantastic option! It's all so good, you really can't go wrong. As far as the atmosphere goes, it is very white and bright and not really a good romantic setting, but a perfect spot for a family dinner or a great lunch. Overall, a very nice place to have a good meal.

After passing by here quite a few times and reading the Yelp reviews, I decided to give them a shot. The other reviewers do not mention this so I will. There are two large screens behind the bar and one in the corner of the dining room. I came here to eat dinner AND watch the opening game of College World Series with LSU vs Florida. I had the ten stool bar to myself on this Saturday night. I ordered the Seafood Platter which consists of fried shrimp, catfish, oysters and crawfish balls. I also ordered their Potato Salad for my side. All of the food was excellent especially the potato salad and fish. They have Cannolis with powdered sugar on them in a display case next to the order counter. I was too full to order dessert. But I sure was tempted they looked so good. The service was outstanding throughout my entire time at the Triple Nickel. I did not see where parking was an issue. Maybe it has been expanded since the other reviews but when I was there, the restaurant was over halfway full and the parking lot seemed to match that ratio with plenty of available spaces still left.

This is a hidden gem in little old Madisonville, LA. And if you like bourbon, then this is definitely your place. Probably close to 200 varieties. The food is also really good- nice service, clean tables and a great experience- but the cannoli, which is made in house, was awful- soggy, moist shell, and the vanilla had chocolate as well. So, we will skip it next time. We really enjoyed the gator sausage, cheeseburger with the fried pickles, and the fries were delicious.

Found out about this place from a few coworkers and I'm glad I decided to give it a try. Everything was so tasty and filling! I couldn't eat it all. The bbq grilled chicken sandwich I had was better than I expected for sure and I can't wait to go back and try something new. The ambiance was nice especially the bar area and the service was cool. This is definitely a gem in Madisonville

This was a place that I had wanted to try for a while. I went out & I was not disappointed. The menu was not very long but the description of the food items made it hard to pick. I went with the BBQ shrimp, on a croissant bun and it was literally the best sandwich ever. The facility is newly remodeled, the outside seating area is very comfortable, and the parking could be a issue but they make it work. The bar inside the restaurant is very big and the seating area inside the restaurant is open as well. It is a self seat facility but they give you a number to place at your table and they bring the food to you. I was not mad at. I do think they need a bigger parking lot, and they could use more drink options for the non-alcoholics. But the food was great and the place was neat n clean.

The new location for the triple nickel grill is the old location for five girls restaurant in downtown Madisonville. Although I love the five girls triple nickel is a pretty good replacement. They specialize in burgers of all kinds and they have a new daily special every day. It's not great but it's pretty darn good and it's something Madisonville desperately needed I will definitely be back in the very near future to give it a try again on their seafood which is awfully important in this area. Their original location is east of old Mandeville on Highway 190 and they were always known for very good burgers there.

The service was phenomenal! It was for an anniversary, and they made sure to tell us happy anniversary, and add it to a little sign that was left on our table. Now for the main part: the food. Fried Oysters and Pork Belly - very good, if you get this make sure you eat them together (that was our "best bite" for that serving). Wedge Salad - one of the best wedge salad's we have had. The blue cheese dressing was creamy (rather than chunky blue cheese). It had crispy shoestring onion strings that almost acted as the croutons. I loved every bite that included lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and bacon. Delmonico Steak - this was probably our overall favorite item. Just a great steak, and large enough for both of us to enjoy. Redfish - this was good, not great. Would probably try something else other than this if we went back. Tchefuncte Potatoes - they almost were like a twice baked potato (flavor wise), but they are super creamy and fluffy and then turned into a lightly fried ball. Good and very unique. Crème Brûlée - if you like crème brûlée then you will enjoy it here. A classic dessert that was delicious. And to top it all off, the ambiance was great. It is right on the water, and service was very attentive.

We have our favorites on both sides of the lake, but I recently read some great reviews somewhere online about Crazy Pig Southern Kitchen with locations in both Mandeville and Covington. After speaking with our friends we decided to dine at the Covington location of Crazy Pig Southern Kitchen. Inside the entrance, the restaurant posts their policy that you will not be seated at a table until all parties have arrived, which is understandable considering the huge amount of business they have. My wife and I arrived before our friends who were running a little late. The Hostess, Jill, asked me how many in our party and I told her four, but the other couple was running late and would be arriving in about 20 minutes. We took a seat in the empty waiting area inside the entrance. The restaurant appeared to have only one or two empty tables available inside when I arrived on a beautiful day. Five to ten minutes later the waiting area was full (approx. ten people). The restaurant was extremely noisy with all their customers enjoying their meals and conversing with friends/family. I noticed that there were approximately ten tables located in front of the restaurant in a beautiful covered patio, so I asked Jill if we could have a table outside once our friends arrived in about five more minutes because one of them was somewhat physically handicapped. There was only one empty table in the patio at the time. Jill explained that since she had a reservation in the patio for a party of eight that would be arriving soon, so she had been holding it for another available outside table to put together to accommodate this party. However, she said she would gladly give us the table. By this time, the waiting room was full of people and overflowing outside the entrance. I had given my seat to a lady and stepped outside to wait for my friends, who I noticed had arrived and parking their car. I told Jill and she seated us at the table in the patio. The four of us ordered different things on the menu, which were fantastic. Although the restaurant was packed, the waitress AND Jill visited our table several times to ensure we were enjoying our meals. Crazy Pig Southern Kitchens' ambiance, service, menu items (along with portion sizes) and prices were absolutely astounding. We were all very impressed and grateful for a beautiful dining experience. Special thanks to Jill who was abundantly pleasant to deal with. Crazy Pig Southern Kitchen certainly placed Jill in the right position.

We started with the chicken wings with honey barbecue sauce. The wings were cooked perfectly and had a good flavor. Next were the bacon wrapped shrimp and these were one of my favorite items of the night. The hot honey sauce was so good and the presentation made them even better. The cheese pull and sauce dripping down really sealed the deal for me. Easily a 10/10. The brussels sprouts completely surprised me because they were SO good. They were topped with pecans, cranberries, pepper jelly, and parmesan cheese, and all of the toppings worked so well together to elevate the flavor of the brussels sprouts. Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I've been back just for those alone. 10/10. I also tried the Bayou Mac & Cheese which was creamy, flavorful, and cooked well. My only complaint is that it was topped with tomatoes, which wasn't listed on the menu, so I would've asked for it without them, but no big deal. We also had the Cajun Pasta which was good as well. Service was friendly and efficient and Taylor took excellent care of us. General Manager Josie dropped by our table to share info on Lumora and her visit was appreciated. There is a full bar and a wide selection of specialty cocktails. Today I had a Blood Orange Mezcal Margarita and my wife had an Ex-Presso Martini. Both were great! I highly recommend the Mezcal spice served up on the Margarita's rim in place of the standard salt. We then enjoyed the Zydeco Eggroll appetizer, which the pepper jelly garnish made truly memorable. I then followed with the Buffalo Chicken Pinsa and my wife had the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pinsa. Both were excellent; hot, pleasantly spicy, and generously portioned. We took home a lot of food. Although we had no room for dessert, several on the menu looked quite sumptuous. In short, Lumora Kitchen and Bar is highly recommended! It's a great spot for lunch, happy hour drinks, or a special date night. We will return.

Beyond that, the food and service are simply perfect every time. I enjoyed some small plates last night, including an espresso martini, the tuna crisp and the soup de jour: tomato basil. Everything was served at the perfect temp, cold for drinks and crisp and piping hot for the soup. The martini was standalone and had the perfect hints of chocolate essence and level of sweetness. It was more coffee than liqueur which I loved and the drink was pleasant without it tasting too much like the spirit. I do mine with gin and they always do such a great job. The tuna crudo was good, and presented so nice with a pour-over of the agua chile tableside. I do feel like it was missing some spice and salt, leaving it to fall a bit flat.
