I've been going to Ceno's for 3 years and loving it! We went last night with another couple. I ordered the Veal Saltimbocca. I got two ridiculously small pieces of veal that I would cut each piece in half and have a reasonable bite. This was $24!!! Calamari was off......not good. No one cared for it. This little place is Cape Coral's best kept secret. It is hidden beside the much larger Lobster Lady. All of their dishes are good, and everything is very reasonably priced. I love their fresh baked bread and garlic oil dip. George, the owner, is very involved in the kitchen, the bar, and the seating area. He is always keeping on top of making the customer happy. Located on Cape Coral Parkway, so it's easy to find. There's plenty of parking out front. The inside is set up like a typical bar and grill with the bar on one side and tables on the other. The décor is pleasant. The ceiling and several walls are black but that is balanced out by areas with bright color. The staff are friendly and efficient. The owner, George, makes a point to stop by and speak to his customers. We felt completely at home and welcome our very first visit. The menu seems like it was made for me. I found something I wanted right away, but then kept reading and decided I wanted it all. The value for the price paid is very good. They also have a loyalty program. Lunch Visit: My guy had the Pork Souvlaki. He doesn't comment on food often. He told me right away it was great and that the meat was tender and juicy. He was busy eating and didn't notice that I wasn't talking to him. I had the Vice President (sandwich) with steak. The bun was nicely toasted. The steak was sliced thinly, which made the texture perfect. The taste with the grilled onions and melty provolone cheese had me eating entirely too fast. It was amazing. This visit led to another visit two days later. Dinner Visit: We both ordered the Chicken Marsala. It was the BEST Chicken Marsala we've ever had. The chicken was super-tender and the sauce was "party-in-your-mouth" flavorful. There was enough pasta but not too much. Our meals were served with toasted garlic bread, which was an excellent accompaniment. Our server brought us more when our basket was empty. Final Assessment: We're MEGA-FANS! This is now one of our favorite places in Cape Coral. Exceptional food in a super-comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Fabulous place, great food and friendly staff.

We are staying in Cape Coral and decided to try Ceno Grille. The food, service, portion and value was beyond our expectations. In my opinion this place is a hidden gem, we have been there twice and plan to go back a few more times before heading back home. In a short time we became friends with our server Chrissy, she made us feel right at home. It does get busy at dinner hours so consider an early meal and avoid the crowd. Great introduction! It's not ideal that the first visit has to be 'virtual' with take out because of the pandemic, but this place nailed it. Prompt friendly phone service, quick preparation and super friendly staff at pickup. The blackened mahi was excellent and the baseball sirloin with mashed potatoes was flavorful and plentiful. Within the last three weeks we had a group of 12 and then again last night a group of 10 at Ceno. Our group of 12 included 6 that had never been to Ceno before. Since then, all of them have been back at least once. Last night our 10 included 2 that had never been there before. Every single person couldn't say enough great things about this place. We have tried just about everything on the menu over the last two visits and EVERYONE said that their entree was the best they had ever had! That's saying a lot when they are from all over the country and Canada. I'm certain that Ceno is the best restaurant in the Cape. And as anyone living in the Cape knows, we have so many good restaurants here. But Ceno is a cut above. If you have not tried Ceno, please do. George, the owner, is very hands-on and greets all of his customers. The kitchen runs like a fine oiled machine and the cooks are extraordinary. His wait staff, for the most part, are long-time employees and are very attentive. First of all, our waitress was wonderful. My meal (Chicken Mediterranean) came out cold so I had it sent back and was still cold upon second try. Nothing like cold spinach...on luke warm chicken. At that point, I did not want it and asked that it be removed from the bill which they did remove the meall. My husband had the chicken brunelo which was also cold. We did send his meal back and it came back acceptable. We ended up splitting my husband's meal and called it a night. During our meal, the hostess came over and cleared our plates which my husband was clearly not done but did not want to complain AGAIN. Sorry but we will not be back again. P.S. Sat at the bar, friendly and Engaging bartenders, owner George asked us if we were enjoying lunch and chatted a few minutes and was diplomatic when everyone said they liked their food, almost humble as he thanked us. Parking easy at lunch and PROBABLY at night since the retail shops close and there are 3 complete strips of parking in this UPSCALE strip center but Ceno's Prices aren't upscale, they are fair - it's expensive ingredients to make great food AND they don't chinch on the portions. Meant to go to Lobster Lady but the wait was 1.5 hours and the noise level was so loud it almost hurt. Recognized the name of this place from Yelp and the good reviews. Everyone at my table loved their food. Absolutely fabulous eggplant Parmesan with an amazing tomato sauce, loaded with cheese. Came in around 11:45 my buddy and I both started with the raspberry teas. Very refreshing especially on a hot florida day. For an appetizer we chose the fried mozzarella. Two decently sized pieces came to the table with a nice garnish, crispy on the outside with stringy cheese on the inside. Only disappointing part of the dish was the marinara was a little watery, but that's an easy look over especially for a great appetizer like this. We randomly went in because there was a long wait for lobster lady and two people that had just eaten at Ceno encouraged us that the food was really good while we window browsed. Boy was I glad we did! We are both from Philly so good Italian is readily accessible and we hadn't had Italian food since before the quarantine, but this place definitely impressed us. *Their bread was already really buttery, but served with an oil and cheese mix. *The Caesar salad was really cheesy, creamy and definitely had that anchovy bite which I appreciate, seems it might be made in house. * The seafood special was two large scallops, 3-4 large shrimp and crab meat over a rose sauce on penne- perfectly blended and had so much crab meat! Great flavor! * The chicken brunello (spelling?) was grilled chicken over penne with mushrooms and tomato/cream sauce. Had a little spice to it, which was nice, but not too much that I couldn't taste the food. I really loved the sauce on this and the chicken was cooked right, nice and juicy. * Creme Brûlée was the right amount of smooth and creamy on the inside and crispy layer was done well. I could've honestly lived without the large amount of whipped cream on top as it just took away from the flavor for me. *Jamie was an INCREDIBLE waitress. She listen for our tastes and recommended accordingly. She didn't try to up sell us (we both wanted Caesar salad to split but she said to start with the small as the food would be filling and she was right!). She was also just really friendly, but never too chatty while we were eating or waiting for food- my favorite kind of waitress! * The food here is served relatively quickly, but the place is small and doesn't look too fancy, but boy are you going to get a good meal! It is clean and well managed. All of the staff was extremely friendly. They only serve beer and wine, so if you're ok with that, this is a good place to be. Although they do not take reservations, they do call ahead seating 30 minutes before so we were able to get a table of 5 at this cute little restaurant on at a popular dinner time. The food was top notch, we ordered mussels as an appetizer and had four different entrees amongst the 5 of us. Chicken Parmigiana, Seafood Asparagus (we got two of these), Eggplant Parmigiana and a build your own pasta and a side salad. I would like to start by saying we have enjoyed wonderful meals here but something has changed. I ordered the chicken souvlaki that was missing the feta cheese and couldn't taste any tzatziki sauce. The chunks of chicken were very small and hard as a rock. I couldn't eat it. My husband got the Napoletana without onions. It was loaded with onions. My daughter's chicken parm sandwich was a mess. I'm not sure what they did to that. This order was takeout that I ordered at the restaurant on 3/7/23 @ lunchtime. Very disappointing just knowing how good the food use to be.
