I had cataract surgery at Center for Sight and I couldn't be more pleased. I was nervous at first, but as they patiently explained the procedure, and I had my the eye exams, I grew more comfortable because of their professionalism and kindness. The day of the surgery went so smoothly, I was relaxed even before they gave me the anesthesia! Dr. Pernula performed the procedure and I felt comfortable throughout. And it was quick! Did the eye patch and eye drops as directed, and first eye is doing fine. Will do other eye in a week. Expect that procedure will go equally well. Couldn't be more pleased with Center for Sight-Henderson. Staff and doctors are professional, courteous, and answered all of my questions. Would highly recommend them. read more

This place is nice, the rooms are clean, and all the staff was very nice. The wait time was about 30 minutes to be called back to an examination room then another hour going from room to room for different tests and more waiting in each area. Now, the biggest problem with this place is the patients talking on their phone or playing music/video games loudly and the staff not saying anything. This became a very annoying experience for the 2 hours that we were there. Yes, this is mostly a customer problem but the staff needs to be proactive and say something to make this a better environment for everyone. read more

I had LASIK done with Center For Sight about 3 weeks ago. I've spent most of my life with a pretty complicated prescription and was always told that I would NOT be a good candidate for LASIK surgery. All because of my strong astigmatism. So I was very surprised when Dr. Liang told me that I could actually benefit a lot from LASIK. So I decided to go for it. Today, my eyes are seeing 20/20. That feeling of waking up in the morning, not having to look for my glasses anymore is awesome. Dr. Liang and her staff made the whole experience fantastic. If you value professionalism and excellent eye care service, do not visit this location. The doctors are fine, but unfortunately the front office staff is rude, unprofessional, they lose paperwork and do not follow up with patients as need be. I personally feel if you don't like your job- find a new one! When you are dealing with the health and wellness of patients, you should be more professional, caring and ORGANIZED (something this location lacks). They do not reach out and follow up with patients as need be. If you must visit this location, just be prepared to put in extra leg work to follow up with them on everything as though you're on payroll. Everything you've read about the front office is true. They are incompetent, in compassionate and uncaring. Their customer service leaves something to be desired and they have terrible record keeping skills. Such a waste of time. Avoid this place. I called them after I went to Brimhall eye center to try and figure out what's going on with my eyes. I had Brimhall send over the records and somehow we ended up doing the SAME EXACT THING I had to do at Brimhall and my concerns were dismissed and I was told I need to see a neurologist. They had records right in front of them and they decided they needed to dilate and poke and prod at my eyes and tell me something I already knew. I'm pretty sure this was a way of getting my insurance money. I will be filing a complaint with my insurance. Please don't waste my time or money. read more

This place is horrible .. There's no parking not even handicap. My 95 year old grandmother had a 1030 appointment. I had a really hard time parking then hard time getting in the doors with grandmas wheelchair . I parked her and before I could sign in a huge sign blew over from the next guy that came in.. So I sign in at 1020 for my 1030 appointment.. One hour later they take cards and gave me paperwork .. About 10mins after that they told us we had to go because we have to be in 15 mins before scheduled time and we were 5 mins late. If I wasn't having to drive around for 20mins looking for a place to park and didn't have to move a sign that hit my grandma I would've been 30 mins early.. I would think you would know when I signed in that I was too late , what idiot makes you wait over an hour to tell you.. I got the impression they didn't want to deal with a 95 year old lady. I will look for a better place to take my grandmother and hopefully they are not as mean and unorganized like this place. If this medical office would've said hey the parking sucks really bad so add extra tine to get a spot , that would've been helpful . PRAYERS MY 95 YEAR OLD GRANDMA THAT NEEDS GLASSES WILL FIND A PLACE TO HELP HER AND NOT TURN HER AWAY OVER 5 MINS OR HER AGE. read more

The doctors are good but the supportive staff are impersonal & void of compassion., Both front office and back office need sensitivity training on how to treat patients with more compassion and just downright good manners. I would give 1 to 2 stars at the best. Please, look your patients in the face, smile at them, and make them feel welcome and valued, don't constantly have your back to them. And please, use critical thinking in situations such as this, today, I witnessed a very disabled gentleman being denied his appt. because he was 5 minutes over the grace period. He was in a power wheelchair & by himself. He explained he couldn't find parking which is a problem. He had to park all the way around the backside of the building. Mind you, he's very disabled in a power wheelchair. He tried to explain to no avail as the young genius behind the glass informed him in her perky little happy voice he could come back 4 hours. Zero awareness & compassion for this very sweet, very disabled man who pleaded nicely to be seen & who apologized for being late. It was heartbreaking to watch . Then when he tried to exit the office, he couldn't manage the door & no one made a move to help him. I did jump up & told him how sorry I was about the way he was treated & I could see how very upset he was, he could barely speak & obviously embarrassed about his emotions. One can only imagine the enormous amount of effort it takes for this man to get through a day much less dressed and to an appointment on time. I found that display to be so unprofessional, so uncaring and downright ridiculous, over five minutes. Please, train your staff. read more

Must say this office is one that you do not want to have to go to,but HPN has us at a disadvantage.They require us to do so.I wish HPN would reconsider and contract with a new "EYE CARE" provider!The staff is rude and the scheduling is a nightmare.You must wait months to have your second surgery done,therefore your vision is questionable during that entire time.If you call for any reason,your phone call will not be returned,so don't even try.One more negative is that they are in the sales business and will try everything to convince you to spend an extra $6000.00 to $10000.00 to have Lasik plus special lenses which in many cases is of no value,especially for the elders.The old fashioned procedure is just fine.My final point is,keep in mind you will have to wait forever, as they have no regard to the fact that your time is also valuable,not just there's. This must be the most inefficient office that I have seen, we wait 1 1/2 hours past the appointment time to be call in, there are 10 to 15 people walking around doing nothing while you wait, is incredible the lack of care for the patient waiting, specially the fact that most of the patient are elderly people. I have to say, when first talking about getting Lasix done I was really nervous, cause you see all those movies and of course youtube videos about the worse case scenarios. But after talking to Dr. Liang and her staff about the procedure and what it entails, it really helped ease my mind about it. Dr. Liang herself was really friendly, easy to talk to (Not like a lot of doctors) and you could tell she genuinely cared about my concerns and also made sure she answered all my questions. Been trying to get my tear duct opened for months now, and was sooooooooo looking forward to getting it done this morning. When I arrived I was told that I had been rescheduled to a date almost a month later. Said they had left a message, but I had no messages. I cancelled a different doctor appointment to be here, and then they cancel it on me. They may be an ok place, but you DO NOT cancel an appointment on someone without being sure they are aware of it. Most offices charge you if you dont show up, so why not have the same consideration for the patient. Unfortunately, my duct is so bad that I cannot drive, wear makeup, or wear my contacts because of the constant tearing. This has been going on for 4 months now, but I guess it's not happening to them, so it just don't matter. read more

Dr. Liang is the best. She is the only dr in Vegas that has done something for my severe dry eyes. If something does not work, she never gives up. She always has something new up her sleeve to try. I saw Dr Gerry and his nurse Barbara. I got checked in quickly and didn't wait very long to get in the exam room. The girl who took me back was very pleasant and listened to me. I only waited a few moments to see Gerry. He was very knowledgable and nice. He gave me my options very clearly where I understood then helped me make my choice. I decided on the tear duct plugs. He inserted them quickly and without any pain at all. I was very happy. The procedure has made my eyes feel so much better. I will definitely see him again. read more

The Experience at Center for Sight was good, except for when someone one called me to confirm the surgery date. That person spoke to me as if I was a child. Bad, bad, bad. Whoever she is, needs to realize that she is dealing with grown adults, most of which are seniors and we ARE NOT children, nor do we like being talked to as if we are a child. DON'T go here. It's a waste of money!! Dr Pernula: I went regarding cataracts. The results of which they told me the cataracts were not bad enough for surgery even though I'm having trouble seeing through my regular glasses day and night. Oh the brilliant thing they said was " I had 20/20 vision. And saw the same in my glasses and without them". I haven't had 20/20 vision in 32 yrs. There diagnosis dry eye and wait out the cataracts. I went to another doctor I'm schedule for cataract surgery and guess what I don't have 20/20 vision and no mention of dry eye!!! read more

What a complete farce. Staff was very unprofessional, uncaring, unsympathetic, and rude. The doctor walked out on me after I claimed he poked me in the eye with a stick and he was very argumentative and short fused. They refused to reschedule me with another doctor and sent me away unable to see through my right eye. I recommend trying another facility and may want to kiss feet next time or they might charge you for as little service as taking up your time and effort with no results. read more

I have never felt so unsafe in a doctors office. I walk in assuming they'd have booked their appointments like every other doctor I've seen since Covid, and it was packed with literally at least thirty (could've been forty) people in their waiting rooms. Over twenty in the main room. How irresponsible. As someone with a compromised immune system and health issues that are supposedly the cause of the issue with my eyes, I can't just take my chances. I had to leave the office and reschedule two months out in mid September in order to get the next appointment that would be the first of the day because they jam-pack their office. They told me they have three doctors on staff..and they said that as if that was a lot in comparison to the amount of patients they have crammed in that office. Do these DOCTORS not believe in SCIENCE? Or are they just hideously greedy? I'm genuinely creeped out. They were just handing the same pen to every person who walked in at this station. No hand sanitizer, no disinfecting the pen before handing it to the next patient (how hard is it to wipe a pen down? What does it take? Three seconds? By far the most irresponsible office I've been to (and I've been to a lot as of late)..most irresponsible business period! Fast food restaurants are safer than this office. Just yikes. I can't imagine they are following guidelines. So now I just have to take my chances and hope my eyes don't get too damaged from now until then. Really sh***y that my health has to suffer because of their lack of concern for their patients' wellbeing--doesn't that go against the very oath they took in order to become doctors? Ok, my husband has been in for testing after being cleared by a retina consultant and subsequently scheduled for cataract surgery. We had to cancel the cataract surgery as he had to have a one day surgery on his foot. Now Center for Sight is requiring medical clearance for cataract surgery. Both the surgeon and primary dr's have said medical clearance is not necessary and we should not have to jump through these hoops. Eva the Center for Sight counselor insisted it is there policy to have this after any surgery. I was not happy and Eva seemed to have picked up on my attitude and responded with an attitude that I could hear. She said we could come and pick up a form to take to our physician if the physician could not fax something over.....I almost went off on her....pick up a form? How about she could e-mail it to us. Not customer friendly. Regardless of whether I had attitude she should not react to my attitude with attitude as a professional. Sure hope things get better. I have to say that we were a bit hesitant about going to this center due to the low ratings and recent feedback we had been privy to (regarding insurance and the types of surgery and/or services that are covered) - BUT we were VERY pleasantly surprised with the excellent service and thorough treatment provided here! It is true that there is a bit of a wait and that our total time there was 3 hours (as they estimated it would be when we booked the appointment 2 weeks prior). There were many tests and exams that needed to be completed so we did not mind the 3 hours since we were already expecting that time frame given to us previously. The experience we had was a very positive one and each person that we came in contact with at the Center was knowledgeable and understanding (from the receptionist to the technicians and to Dr. Adam Schwartz). Dr. Schwartz spent a good amount of time examining my husband's eyes and answering all of our questions as they related to his upcoming surgery. Definitely a 5 star Doctor! Katrina, the Patient Coordinator and surgery scheduler was equally as impressive working with us and answering all of our questions and concerns as well. We are anticipating a very successful outcome from our surgeon Dr, Liang, as she comes very highly recommended with stellar rating and reviews. We are extremely satisfied with all of the care we have been given so far and will update this review in a few weeks. read more

I took my elderly mother here yesterday because of blurry vision. When I opened my mouth to explain about a cancelled appointment last fall, the technician "P" screamed at me-twice- to stop talking. I had hardly spoken 5 words. I was so shocked and embarrassed and ashamed, I did not say another word the whole time for fear of being screamed at again. I have never been spoken to so unprofessionally by a health care provider. I'm a retired health care provider myself, and never addressed a patient or family member so. Bullying, plain and simple. I am still upset and angry. I have HPN also, and if necessary I will change insurance companies before I ever go there again. read more

I agree. My first experience of last year. Appt. was for 7:45AM, I arrived at 7:AM. Doors were locked. Within a few moments there were several of us waiting outside the office for the same appt. time. No chairs or place to sit. After a 45 minute wait the office opened at 7:45 then it took another 15 minutes for several of us to sign in. I was given a clip board and was asked to complete the information needed for my appt. I was told all my records from my previous doctor would be on file upon my arrival. It took approx. 30 minutes to complete the forms while at least 15 more people piled into a small space provided for patients. I continued to wait another hour while people who arrived two hours after me were seen by the doctor. I approached the receptionist and asked if I was put at the end of the patient list. I arrived at my appt. 45 minutes early to complete any paper work required and was treated like I was late for my appt. The staff and doctor were very rude and brief. I attempted to discuss my issues with my new provider (I have diabetes) and was totally ignored. I asked if my records had been transferred and was told only if the doctor feels it is necessary. I had a brief eye exam by the nurse and before I realized it both the nurse and doctor left the room. I found my way to the waiting room and left the office. Due to a persisting problem with my right eye I had to make an appt. with CFS. I have put this appt. off for many months since I am so uncertain of the care and diagnosis I will be receiving. Senior Dimensions has chosen CFS for their primary eye care providers and I have no choice but to use their provider at this time. I pray I don't need surgery and that possibly my next experience is better and more comforting then my first. read more

After seeing all the bad reviews I'm shocked because my experience here was outstanding. I took my 83 year old mother here for some vision issues she had been having. Yes the waiting room is small and it was packed but keep in mind there is more than one Dr here. Our wait time was minimal. The staff from the front desk to check out was kind and efficient. The back office staff was organized and kept the patient flow moving. My mother saw Dr. Salinas and he was very kind and understanding as my mom is deaf and you really have to talk right to her so she can read your lips. He was very sweet to her and she felt comfortable with him. She was very nervous because she knew her issue would require surgery but he made her feel very relaxed by the end of the visit. She needed a referral for another physician for surgical clearance and the office took care of that while we waited at checkout. By the time we left there she had a scheduled appointment. The office is clean with state of the art equipment. It is located conveniently near St Rose sienna. We will be going back soon for Dr Salinas to perform her surgery and we are confident about the outcome. Thank you Center for Sight for taking such great care of my mom. read more

Appointments mean nothing to this place. They double and triple book appointments. So you wait in the main waiting room for 45 minutes, , then you go into a small room with a technician for 10 minutes, then you go into a dark waiting room for another hour. My appointment was at 8AM, and at 9:30 I'm still waiting to be seen by the him. I heard this happens but for me NEVER AGAIN!! read more

Dr. Liang was very informative on refractive surgery procedures and provided me with all my different options. With the research I had already done and the new knowledge I received from Dr. Liang, I knew Lasik was the right decision for me. Being an active duty military aircrew member, there are strict guidelines and requirements when getting "outside" care. The staff at Center for sight was very accommodating which made it very easy for me to coordinate back and forth with the military on the care I was receiving. The surgery went smooth and my recovery was quick! The staff made sure the follow on appointments went as scheduled and that the healing process was going well.
