Kevin is the best audio cable installer I could hope for. My project consisted of a home theater cabling install, all within the walls and run a Ethernet cable from a closet room where the Router is to the media room, on the other side of the house on a different floor. All other professionals I previously contacted, about 10 of them, told me the wire had to go outside of the house. Kevin made it work, inside the walls, never going outside, much to my happiness. The speaker wiring was all done to perfection as did the installation of the ceiling Atmos speakers. I couldn't recommend Centex Audio more. Wonderful professionals. read more

I had Keith install a tv above my fireplace along with 2 wall speakers. He did a great job and made adjustments based on my pickiness. The work came out great and we did not have to do any patch work or additional painting. I had him come over a second time to rewire our home network to a wall panel and relocate 2 media servers. Just as before, the work was outstanding, Keith took his time to answer my questions and advised me on different items relating to the wiring. I am planning to have them come out a third time to install a 7.1 theater system and I am confident we are going to love it. I would like to add that Denise who coordinated all this, was also great, I appreciate her putting up with all my questions and plan changes. I am proud to be the first to review this company. I did a random search for 'TV mount' and Kevin's company just popped up. I called him up to mount a couple tv's in my new home. One was to be mounted on a stone fireplace and the other in our master bedroom. BLOWN away at the work! Soo much that I totally re-did my entire living room with in-wall speakers! I recently contracted with Centex Audio to install 7.2 surround speakers in our new house. We had it prewired as it was being built. I spoke with Denise both on the phone and over email multiple times. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Kevin came to the house to see exactly what we needed and they put together an very affordable offer for great equipment. Today Kevin came to the house and installed our surroundsound system. He did an excellent job and it was obvious he took pride in his work. The end result was amazing. The sound is even better than I had hoped for. I could not have been more disappointed with them from beginning to end. I needed an expert to come out and set up my new, very expensive Klipsch surround sound system as well as a Ring doorbell, Alexa Studio and Show. I am very hard of hearing and needed these fine tuned and functional. When I called, I asked specifically if Kevin had experience with the new wireless Reference system and with Alexa and was assured that he did. He did not. Kevin spent a long time poring over the installation guide and then could not figure out how to get the app working to tune the speakers. He had never worked with Alexa. I spent well over $300 to get my speakers and doorbell essentially plugged in. Worse, Kevin said he'd get right back to me on reaching out to Axiim for app support. He never did. I ended up paying AGAIN for a terrific installer from another company in Georgetown who solved the problem within five minutes. Kevin had chosen the wrong settings and then the wrong app to control the surround sound...! For reliable customer service, honesty and expertise, I strongly advise you go elsewhere. read more

Centex is amazing. I had bought all the components for my home theater rig (projector, screen, 5.1) thinking I could do them myself, this quickly proved not to be the case. I called Centex, and they were here the next day. I was on a budget, and was only going to have Centex do the projector installed. They found a way to install the projector faster, and so I took the savings and put it into having them install the 5.1 and speakers, they did an excellent job with both. Very pleased. read more

Hat's off to Denise and Kevin. These two were both prompt on responses, quote and fixing my problems. I spent $20k 5 years ago to have A/V installed inside/outside of my house and I'm pretty sure now I got ripped off. I told the original installers to take a hike and after working with four other companies, none of them could fix my problems but they all could sell me more shit that I didn't need. I was told my Sonos systems was no good anymore but lord and behold, Mr. Kevin fixed it today and everything is working like it should and I didn't buying a flipping thing. They even came under budget. Here is my two cents, all the other A/V companies in Austin and the surrounding towns should close their doors and learn a lesson or two from CenTex and open their doors back open when the know what the heck they are doing!
