TLDR: Great installer, don't hire someone else until you get a quote from Eric…read more I needed ethernet run for 3 cameras 2 wifi APs and a couple other drops. My house has fiber, but AT&T installed the Jack in the upstairs living room, on the other side and a floor above the wiring cabinet (cat5). I decided to relocate Everything to an upstairs closet. I got 2 quotes that were within a few percent of each other. The other installer said they needed to cut drywall for 2 drops, or run one outside and the other on the wrong side of the room. They were also going to just run a line from the fiber jack to the closet, leaving the AT&T box out in the open. When Eric came to do his quote he got deep in all the attics, found that he could pull one of the drops with a duplicate coax, and the slanted ceiling on the other was decorative most of the way so he could drop in the right spot. He also offered to pull a new fiber line to the closet. It all turned out great. one camera needed a small outside hop to the right spot, but he made sure that was OK before doing it. He did a very clean install, labeled the patch panel, wired up the rack beautifully, and cleaned all the mess afterward. The only cut drywall was in the closet for wires to come out.

He was undeterred and we set up a consultation. Eric had to have really impressed me, as I let him drill through stone which is highly uncharacteristic of me. I now have rock solid WiFi both inside and outside my house ~600Mbps for an extended distance and constant speeds over Ethernet even faster than that. Add to that, poor eyesight, and it's better just to get someone else to do it for you. I did a search on Yelp and started a conversation with three companies. Texas Media Experts was the first to respond (at 11:30 at night!). One of the other businesses had no ratings on Yelp so I deleted that one, and the third one wanted to send out two guys and charge me $200 (they took almost 24 hours to respond). Between text messaging and the conversation on Yelp, they managed to schedule me in today, and they sent out one (cute) guy and only charged me $120. He helped me plug my TV back in, removed a TV and a mount from the wall in another bedroom, and also showed me how to plug in my VCR. I would recommend them to anyone in the New Braunfels area.

Part 1: Internet -We contracted Nate and his crew to install the AT&T Fiber in the conduit going to our network panel. Summary: Fiber was pulled in to the panel successfully by Nate! They saved the day! -The issue began when we tried to install AT&T Fiber but the AT&T tech (who worked really hard) told us that he could not find our black flex conduit in the attic spaces. We asked Nate (owner of Alpha Net Communications) to find the conduit in the attic; he was able to find it eventually after looking through our various attics and there it was coiled in the ceiling after a drop down going through the garage attic. He was then able to pull the AT&T Fiber into our network panel so that AT&T could connect their fiberoptic cable into the AT&T modem/router. Part 2: Ethernet (Hardwire) Cable Management -Nate and his crew tested all the ethernet cables with a Fluke cable tester and toner tester. After testing the downstair rooms, they found and repaired broken ethernet jacks at the wall plates downstairs, identified hidden ethernet cable behind a wall plate in the upstairs area, and confirmed all cables were gigabit ready for AT&T Fiber internet. -They installed our new gigabit ethernet PoE switch, plugged in all the ethernet cables (and labeled them) into the ethernet ports of the switch, and labeled all the wall plates. -They cleaned up the network panel itself and also custom cut the closet hanger rod network panel stretched across the panel so that the panel door could fully open. AV System -Nate and his crew also tested the audio cables and the speakers that were upstairs, downstairs, and outside. They found the volume control for the outside speakers. -They also prepared the ethernet cable (going to TV, going to wall) so that it-alongside the HDMI cable-was ready for the smart TV.
